Review: His Guiding Light by E.L. Ough 4 of 5 stars

His Guiding Light

His Guiding Light by E.L. Ough
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Maxwell lost the two most important people in his life, he realised he needed to stick to the safe things: his lighthouse and his solitude. They say that after a storm comes a rainbow, but when it also washes a lifeless body onto his beach, the course of his life swiftly alters, bringing renewed hope with it. Jaxon wakes up in an unfamiliar room, with no recollection of the past, determined to help the man who rescued him. Max is reluctant to share his past with him, but it’s clear there’s a sadness about him. The longer he struggles with Jaxon's amnesia, the easier it becomes to focus on the present and the feelings that grow deeper each day. Jaxon just hopes his old memories don’t destroy the safe harbour he's found here.

This was a nice story but I kept thinking that I had read it before. I did like the characters and the way that their thoughts and feelings were described. I was pleased with the way that the story ended. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Lucky Match by Raquel Riley 3 of 5 stars

Lucky Match

Lucky Match by Raquel Riley
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Lucky Maguire started Lucky Match, an escort service, as an enjoyable way to earn some extra cash. That’s how he ended up on a date with his super hot Economics Professor. But after one date, he knew the shy Professor Brantley was hungry for affection, and he wanted to sate his appetite So Lucky needs to 1 - Convince Hayes to fake date him, 2 - Inform him that they were never fake dating; it was always real and 3 - Make him fall in love with him. For Profesor Hayes Brantley, after his divorce, he realised he needed to make some positive, yet drastic changes in his life. He was finally free to date a man after twelve long years of being married to a woman. He called Lucky Match to hook up with someone who looks like the sexy student I can’t stop fantasising about. He had no idea he’d end up with the real deal. Is a second chance at love worth risking his career and another broken heart?

I liked the way that the Escort agency started but I did find Lucky's single-minded determination to seduce his professor a little creepy. The number of gay people at a conservative university was also a little strange. Overall it was a sweet read. This was an MM story with mature content and a little light BDSM-like D/s dynamic.

Review: Animal Instincts by Ali Ryecart 3 of 5 stars

Animal Instincts

Animal Instincts by Ali Ryecart
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Microwave dinners for one and evenings spent alone aren’t what Vetinarian Oliver Strachan imagines for himself when he relocates to Love’s Harbour. It’s a chance to mend his broken heart, but starting over is tough and Oliver feels more lost than ever. For barista Joss Faraday, the excitement and promise of the city - any city, anywhere - is a call he can’t ignore. Joss’ heart is set on a bigger, better life away from the village that’s been his forever home. A clumsy encounter between the new, brooding village vet and the sunny barista is the spark that sets their hearts alight. The two men couldn’t be more different, but the attraction is real. Questioning what they truly want from life, the answer’s simple: it’s each other. But the past is not so easily left behind. Dark clouds are gathering on the horizon, forcing Oliver and Joss to make a choice: stand together against the storm or let it rip them apart.

This was a sweet story but I did find the ease that Oliver let his past poison him against his present was very disappointing and not well explained. I loved Joss so sweet and determined. Yet again this was another book that just needed better communication to avoid issues. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content

Review: Worth the Chance by Kate Hawthorne 5 of 5 stars

Worth the Chance

Worth the Chance by Kate Hawthorne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

After Aaron is introduced to Verity Jones, his entire world is turned on its head. From the very first conversation they shared, Verity has him fascinated and determined. He wants to know more about them, what makes them tick and why they’re so dismissive of him. He wants to convince them he's worth a chance. Aaron is the most stubborn man Verity has ever met and if he didn’t want him so much, he might hate him.  It’s been years since Verity settled into his identity and Aaron is mixing it up again, but it’s more than that. Venturing into the unknown is scarier than it was as a teenager, but if the reward at the end of the journey is Aaron, there’s a chance it’s all worth it.

I loved this story and the conclusion of the slow development of the relationship between Verity and Aaron. Finding out some facts about Verity's younger life answered a lot of questions and the identities of the females in Chas's life. (I want to read more about him). A push-and-pull situation between the two of them but I loved that they had the HEA that they deserved. Easy to read, feel and understand I loved that Aaron fully accepted Verity's non-binary status and acted the correct way when they were deadnamed. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.

Review: Worth the Fight by Kate Hawthorne 4 of 5 stars

Worth the Fight

Worth the Fight by Kate Hawthorne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Micah has been his world for the last six years. He’s the man he loves, the only person he wants, and Justin's number one priority. When Micah proposes they bring another man into their marriage, Justin doesn't know what to say. Keith doesn't think he deserves men like Justin and Micah. Between Micah’s kind-hearted acceptance of him and Justin’s stoic composure and guiding hand, the two of them have opened his eyes to a world he didn’t know existed.  Justin is the best man Micah has ever met and opening things up to include Keith won’t change that. Neither of them expected Keith, and neither of them expected the hell that came with him, but Micah hopes, in the end, they’ll all agree our love is worth fighting for.

I loved this story with the three men, the love between them and how that translated into passion. There were a lot of emotions, feelings and thoughts around the three of them. It was easy to feel all of the emotions swirling around them and all of the dramatic events in their lives. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MMM story with mature content.

Review; A Daddy for Summer: Fallon by Joe Satoria 3 of 5 stars

A Daddy for Summer: Fallon

A Daddy for Summer: Fallon by Joe Satoria
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Fallon has never been in love, but is desperately seeking fun in the sun. He's also a teddy collector and when he sees a stuffed bear reseller at the resort, his summer budget is about to be blown but that's not all. Sterling is a resort manager, under paid and very under laid. Fortunately for him, he's got a couple tricks up his sleeve, and in his pants.

This was a sweet story of how Fallon met his Daddy Sterling and how some summer fun turned into love. I loved how smitten both men were with each other. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Worth the Wait by Kate Hawthorne 4 of 5 stars

Worth the Wait

Worth the Wait by Kate Hawthorne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Callum didn’t expect to meet someone so quickly on the online app and he also didn’t expect him to live across the country, and didn’t expect him to want to be called Daddy. But he wants more as he wants commitment and closeness. He wants whatever the thing between them to be real, and he's not convinced he can give that to him. It’s been years since John cared enough to get involved with anyone seriously, so he's caught off-guard after meeting Callum online. Smitten from the start, he is ready to give him anything and everything he needs, except the one thing he’s after most - proximity. All of that changes when John ends up in Los Angeles, faced with the opportunity to make good on all the promises he's been sending him through text. The only question is will Callum wait while John gets his act together or will he get tired of waiting?

I loved this story of the two men who met online and just could not survive without each other such was the depth of their love. There were dramatic times as well as tender times in this story which made them feel more real and relatable. There are a couple of content warnings that you should take note of. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: His Prodigal Alpha by Anna Sparrows 3 of 5 stars

His Prodigal Alpha

His Prodigal Alpha by Anna Sparrows
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Alphas do not exist. 25-year-old omega, Damon Richards, knows this; it’s why his old-school pack considers him all but useless. He certainly doesn’t expect this reality to be upended at a random bar in the middle of nowhere. But that’s what happens when he meets an irresistible stranger and things just get more complicated from there. In his forty-two years of life, Rex Murphy hasn’t had any reason to believe he isn’t human. Shifters are just something he learned about in school; a species snuffed out long ago. As far as he’s concerned, he’s just a normal guy – until his anatomy changes during an impromptu hook-up in a bar’s bathroom. At that point, he does what any rational person would do: he flees. Wanting answers to his newfound alpha-ness, Rex seeks out Shifters Sanctuary, a pack recently founded by the only other known alpha in existence. As fate would have it, once there, Rex gets the second biggest shock of his life. It seems he left a little something behind with Damon on the night he fled. A baby-shaped something. Rex and Damon still have a lot to work out (not made any easier by the looming threat from a cult-like community of shifters with their own agenda) but they may just discover that a life in Shifter’s Sanctuary is worth fighting for.

This was a sweet story as Rex flees from Damon after unexpectedly knotting him and how they eventually get back together and find the HEA they deserve. The run-ins with the clan were dramatic and could trigger a few things for some people so please read the trigger warnings. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content with mature content set in the omegaverse with mpreg.

Joint Penetration

Joint Penetration by Katherine McIntyre
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Liam Kelly is in love with his best friend Ollie. His straight, freshly divorced best friend, wants to experiment with him. Liam has been hopelessly in love with Ollie his entire life. The second they start hooking up, Liam can’t hold back the feelings he's been clutching tight to for over a decade but if this ends up a rebound for Ollie, a blip before he looks for a new wife, Liam won’t only be out a best friend but the love of his life too.

I enjoyed this story which made me laugh. I'm very tempted to play the strip Mortal Combat as that sounds like fun. I loved their relationship which was more than friendship if only they had let it become that way before. A sweet friends-to-lovers story which made me smile. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.

Review: Sanders by Dale Mayer 4 of 5 stars

Sanders

Sanders by Dale Mayer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sanders hadn’t been expecting a rescue from his own captivity. Now free, he can do no less than help Ania, another captive, someone he barely knows. Ania must escape her father’s total control. However, during Ania's first few days in confinement, her head had to clear of the drugs her father had been feeding her, just to keep her compliant and captive. After missing a dose, clarity now returning, Ania finally understands and bolts. But where can she go? She has no one. Until Sanders reaches out.

I enjoyed this story which was full of drama and danger as Sanders (with the help of Riff) to rescue Ania. The pursuit from Ania's Dad was all the drama that they needed and his use of a psycho tracker added a nice twist. Easy to read, feel and understand. There was just a little mature content at the end.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Review: Love and Family by Kelsey Hodge 5 of 5 stars

Love and Family

Love and Family by Kelsey Hodge
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A stupid mistake has put Charles on leave from his dream job. He knows that he's a mess, he knows he needs help, but refuses to seek it. He is happy bed-hopping until Jefferson. He changes Charles's world, and he’s the person Charles turns to when secrets and revelations change his life, completely. Jefferson has protected his heart for years. Not allowing himself to fall in love, again. Strangers help scratch an itch until Charles. Jefferson wants more of him. Then truths come out that change everything, and, suddenly, he is not sure he can ever let him go, even if that means risking his own career.

I loved this story with the two men who had only hooked up until they met each other and suddenly everything clicked and they had found their person. I loved the family, the acceptance and the way they supported each other. This was a perfect follow-on from the previous two books and I loved the way that everything fit together so well. Lots of emotions and feelings in this story which were easy to feel and empathise with. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Fear of Flying by KC Elle 2 of 5 stars

Fear of Flying

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Drew Parker knows he’s never going to get married. Fall in love. Have a family. But that’s okay. It’s safer that way—living life out to his family but otherwise in the closet—just as his parents have always told him. Besides, though he’s attracted to men, he’s never felt the urge to be intimate with anyone. So, it doesn’t matter. Until Drew meets Zach. Zach Harrison’s anxiety doesn’t rule his entire life, just mostly his social life. And undeniably his love life. According to his best friend, Jen, it’s the sole reason why he’s never had a date or even been kissed. He’s hoping someday he’ll just run into his Prince Charming and they’ll live happily ever after. But real life’s not that simple. When Tired-of-Lawyering-All-Weekend Drew meets Absolutely-Terrified-of-Flying Zach, Drew comes to Zach’s rescue, and sparks seem to fly. And when a snowstorm grounds their connecting flight—and every flight in the city—their instant love connection starts to soar. After spending almost two blissfully perfect days in the same hotel room and being in love, it’s clear they’re made for each other. But is “meant to be” enough to help Drew finally get over his fear of flying?

This was a sweet story of how Drew and Zach met and quickly fell in love. However, it was a bit brief on how they fell in love so quickly and how their relationship moved on after they were reunited so I found the story a bit brief on detail. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Worth the Risk by Kate Hawthorne 4 of 5 stars

Worth the Risk

Worth the Risk by Kate Hawthorne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

At eighteen, Landon couldn’t picture a future without Gregory Douglas by my side, but we quickly learned life had other plans for us. Forced to move away from the first man I loved—who was also my first Dom—I went to college in New York, met my best friend Verity, and eventually, we opened the club of my dreams. Rapture is a BDSM club where people with similar interests can come together—in more ways than one—and inside its walls, I found more than just family. I found a home. One thing I didn’t expect to find at Rapture, though, was Gregory himself. Gregory thought he’d moved on from Landon, but finding him on the stairs at Rapture threw that idea right out of his mind. Feelings and memories rushed back and he knew, without a doubt, that Landon and he were meant to be together.

I enjoyed this second chance story with the two men who were separated when they went to college and found each other again later in life. I loved that they were able to work through their past hurts and find a way to be together. Verity was such fun and I'm looking forward to learning about them. Some great characters and lots of raw emotions and feelings. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content with a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.

Merlin (Phoenix Squad #4)

Merlin by Dakota Rebel
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

In his professional career, hunt and capture is the name of the game. But when it comes to his personal life he's always been more of a catch and release kind of guy. So why is Dane Acker even still on his radar? They had a night of fun, and it should be time to double-down his focus on the person or persons attacking his adopted country. But he can’t get that man out of his mind. He swears he’s straight, and Merlin swears he's not into relationships but somehow they keep finding their way back to each other. Is this fate or is he just staring down at yet another bomb waiting to explode in his face?

This was a nice short story of how Merlin met Dane and fell in love. I liked the details of Dane's sexual orientation and experience. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: London's Lost Engine by Della Cain by Kaytea Kat 3 of 5 stars

London's Lost Engine

London's Lost Engine by Della Cain by Kaytea Kat
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

London had proclaimed he would be a train conductor when he was growing up but ended up attending dental school and that has given him the ability and freedom to help those who cannot afford dental care. But he never lost his childhood dream and when he saw that Chained is doing a Little Day on the Train event, he signed up immediately. Who cares that he doesn't have a daddy? He will get the chance to pretend to be a conductor on a real train. And it is the best day ever, right up until he reaches into his conductor’s vest pocket and discovers that his favourite toy train is missing. When he hears an offer to help, he accepts it immediately. he discovers it’s the daddy he's been crushing on. Maybe losing his engine was a good thing after all.

This was a sweet story as to how London met his Daddy and how their relationship developed. London was such a kind and caring guy that I was thrilled that he found himself such a kind Daddy who cared for him and gave him the help and support to help London with his goals to treat people between systems with their dental care. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Aries: An MM Romance

Aries: An MM Romance by Joe Satoria
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

When Ash, a disillusioned painter, crosses paths with Daddy Gael, a rugged tattoo artist on a quest for his next muse they're immediately pulled together. When two fire signs collide, their chemistry ignites like wildfire. Gael is an Aries and Ash is a Leo. One fiercely independent and the other with eyes on domination. Each of them possesses a love the other craves, but can they how quickly intimate they are?

This was a reasonable novella with two artistic men meeting and finding their own HEA. I loved that Gael was protective of Ash and also concentrated on making sure that he had lots of pleasure from their encounters. The lack of a push for Ash to have a tattoo was also a great sign of Gael's integrity and caring nature. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Saving Throw

Saving Throw by Alex Silver
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rene was Errol's first everything. Best friend, first kiss, first love, first heartbreak. Seven years after walking out of his life, they tear open old wounds with a single photo of a smiling little boy and the message they’re coming home. Mo has Errol's smile and Rene’s eyes. It kills him that he didn’t know about him sooner. As furious as the news Rene kept such a major secret makes him, he wants a relationship with his son more than wanting to rehash old arguments. When he learns that Rene and Mo need a place to stay while they settle into life in Vancouver, it sounds like a perfect opportunity. What better way to figure out co-parenting than living together? It’s not like he's going to fall for the ex who hurt him deeper than anyone else could. That would be ridiculous.

This was a sweet story with their son Mo being central to the story with his need for knowledge, attention or just time with his "new" Daddy who adored him. I liked the exploration into why counselling was not bad with the right person. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an M/NB story with a demisexual panromantic production coordinator who likes to be in control and his first love, Rene, a non-binary trans masc ex-hockey player turned coach with mature content.

Peaches & Cream

Peaches & Cream by A.D. Ellis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Hudson’s past left him with some baggage, but he’s happy in the small town of Haven Grove with his family and a variety of jobs to keep him busy. Not willing to touch a relationship with a ten-foot pole, Hudson sticks to quick, easy hookups. Lance left his hometown eight years ago to take care of unavoidable responsibilities. He’s back home now and he knows himself a lot better than when he left. Hookups aren’t his thing, but sometimes a guy has to do what he has to do. Hudson and Lance have a long history together as Lance is Hudson's father's best friend. Can they overcome the messy obstacles and look forward to a long future together as well? Or will they be forced to give up on the unexpected spark between them and stick with being just friends?

I enjoyed this story of the relationship and the people around them who were either for or against them. In the end, there was no way to deny their love and they got their shot at the HEA that they both deserved. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. Easy to read, feel and understand this was an MM story with mature content.

Charisma Check

Charisma Check by Alex Silver
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Gui’s the best friend that Theo had ever had and he loves him like a brother. However, he is falling for his little brother Jude, a walking, talking temptation, everything he never lets himself want. He’s sweet as chocolate, wickedly funny, and he gets Theo. The sex, well, it’s worth a repeat, and that’s something he never does. When Jude visited Gui for the holidays, Theo thought he could settle for a one-night stand, but then Jude moved to the city to work at the same studio. Gui gets him to join their gaming group and suddenly he’s all Theo can see. Now Jude’s looking at him with hearts in his eyes, and Theo is terrified that he will break his heart.

I enjoyed this story with Theo with his many problems and Jude with just one problem and a heart big enough for them both. I loved how well Jude managed Theo's problems and that he proved that nothing was too difficult with love and a determination to handle things. They made a sweet couple. Easy to read, feel and understand there were a lot of thoughts and feelings in this story. This is an MM story with mature content.

Until You Say Otherwise

Until You Say Otherwise by Kate Hawthorne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sam needs an address to get himself a job. Jumping the fence at a really attractive older man's estate wasn't the best idea he ever had. Richard is commanding, but kind, and he offers him something no one else ever has - a home which is a safe place, a warm bed, and a place to explore parts of himself he never knew before. Richard doesn't date and doesn't take in homeless nineteen-year-olds with soft brown hair and big doe eyes. Something about Sam makes him ache to take care of him and when Richard offers, he doesn't tell him no. Before Sam, he also didn't fall in love, but that's one more thing about Richard he's changed. Sam has altered his entire life and he doesn't want him to go, but if he holds on too tight, he'll lose him forever.

This was such a sweet story with a dose of kink that could be a little extreme thanks to Sam's total trust in Richard. I did understand why Richard let Sam have the freedom that he so badly wanted but it took a very high level of trust to know that he would come back. I loved the way that their relationship developed which displayed their trust in each other and the way that Sam had accepted the new world he had become a part of. Lots of emotions and feelings in this story. Easy to read, feel and u understand. This was an MM story with mature content including a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.

Love Comes After

Love Comes After by Kate Hawthorne
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Chris is not into feelings after losing his fiancé in a car accident that ruined his life. So he decides to keep his life simple and casual. One night, when a copper-haired bartender asks him to bed him and his boyfriend, it's an easy decision. Yes. Aiden loves Bennet more than life but they are not sexually compatible so things between them have reached a breaking point. Thinking that they need a third person to fix everything when he sees Chris he knows he could be that person. Bennet has known for years he can't give Aiden the things he needs, but it doesn't take long for him to realise that Chris can.  Chris was supposed to be a short-term solution, but his body isn't the only thing he brings into their bed. He leaves his heart there too, and that wasn't supposed to happen. We weren't supposed to fall in love, not with him, but one kiss changed everything. Bennet hopes that just because love didn't come first for us doesn't mean it can't come after.

I loved this story with the second chance at love for Chris and the chance to stay together and expand the love for Aiden and Bennet. The three worked together perfectly and it was great to see Chris handle them both separately and yet also connect them to match their sexual preferences. I loved how they handled an accident and how Chris discovered that he had enough love for them both. A lot of emotions and feelings in this story are examined in a suitable level of detail. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MMM story with mature content and BDSM-like D/S and DDLB dynamics.

Roll for Initiative

Roll for Initiative by Alex Silver
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Living with a baker seems like a dream until their clashing schedules turn it into a nightmare. When Paz moved in, Gui thought he’d rolled a critical success in the housemate lottery. He’s attractive, into guys, and works at Gui's favourite sweet shop. Paz makes the most heavenly chocolate confections he'd ever tasted. Then the notes started. It’s like Paz can’t help criticizing everything Gui does. He constantly leaves passive-aggressive sticky notes, All the simmering tension between them is coming to a boil. Can they learn to coexist, or will Gui be the Grinch who ruins his Christmas by telling him to find another place to live?

I wanted to like this story but for a large part of the start of it, I was just bored. There were lots of gameplay descriptions which did nothing for me. I'm tempted to stop the series after this one book but will try for the next one before I completely write it off. The part of the story where they found a compromise was more about the physical side of things than the emotions which felt a bit fake as all of that angst over the notes would have been more emotional than it felt. Saying that it was easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

The Colors Between Us

The Colors Between Us by Kate Hawthorne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Donny is shorter, quieter, nicer and softer than his sister. Everyone treats him like a second-place competitor.except for Roland. He looks at him differently, with anger and inspiration in his eyes, but also attraction. An undeniable kind of attraction. Roland has spent years looking for inspiration at the bottom of a bottle. If losing his boyfriend, his career, and his muse weren't bad enough, now he's on the brink of losing his mind too. At least With Donny comes fresh inspiration, but he deserves more than the scattered pieces of Roland. Either he succeeds at conquering the demons inside of him, or he loses Donny forever.

This was an inspirational story as Roland battled his demons to be the kind of man that Donny deserved. They were an odd couple but they just worked. This definitely was an emotional story as Roland and Donny worked out their relationship and Roland fought his demons. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was a MM story with mature content.

Drag Me Up by Kate Bauer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Eric loves nothing more than the escape of being on stage in his persona of Miss Sassy Frass, but events from five years ago won't let him enjoy the present. After losing the limelight he's come to rely on, this bratty drag queen struggles to find another way to forget his pain. Matt didn't expect his fiancee to up and desert him when he left Boston to help his mother through her chemotherapy treatments. Nor did he expect to lose all of his friends as a result of the breakup. Reconnecting with his old high school buddies leads him down memory lane to the biggest regret of his life, the broken promise to a special little boy.Call it fate or chalk it up to a random encounter, but when these two men reunite after a decade, it's obviously true love.

I loved this story with the two men who connected after years had passed by and had a real chance of a happily ever after. They both had to look at some past events and who was behind them to make sense of them. Lots of emotions and feelings in this story. This was a MM story with mature content.

Review: Soul Legacy by Dale Mayer 4 of 5 stars

Soul Legacy

Soul Legacy by Dale Mayer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Dr. Cameron Wingford came back home and bought land from an old woman who’d needed the money. Then the old woman’s granddaughter returns home, and all the rumours started that connect her to some weird event at the hospital every Halloween, an occurrence he had yet to experience. Danica’s strange family was an oddity that everyone in the community either mocked or avoided. Open wounds bleed, and, as Danica finds out, this wound can only be healed in one specific way. Even then, a huge sacrifice is required
.
As with all of the books in this series, this one did not disappoint for something so strange that involved a psychic event. The house blew my mind and I was very happy with the way that scenario concluded. As always there was plenty of danger and drama in the story. Easy to read, feel and understand.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Review: His Kind of Love by Kate Hawthorne 4 of 5 stars

His Kind of Love

His Kind of Love by Kate Hawthorne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Being homeless isn't the worst thing that's ever happened to Joel, but it's only temporary, or at least that's what he's trying to remind himself of the night he almost get car jacked and robbed. Thankfully, he's saved by a handsome stranger who offers him a place to stay until he can get back on his feet. Gabriel is a patient and rich man. Gabriel is a dedicated man who.has waited and lingered, moving people around like chess pieces on a board until everything lines up just so. The right strings have been pulled, the traps set, but the games have gone on long enough. He is tired of waiting and is.ready to bring home what's his. Joel has learned to love his lies, but can he learn to love Gabriel as much as he love him in return?

This was a dark story of obsession, love and how close they can be together. What started as an obsession on Gabriel's side became expected by Joel which was unexpected. Their life similarities were exceptional. A lot of thoughts, emotions and feelings in this story. This was a MM story with mature content.

Review: Reaching Roland by Sammi Cee 4 of 5 stars

Reaching Roland Reaching Roland by Sammi Cee
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kenny’s outgoing and fun, and he makes Roland want to do more than my normal rinse, repeat. He knows Kenny’s only teasing him when he calls him Daddy, since he's obviously too old, too straight, and his late wife was his one true love. But there’s something about him that pulls out all of Roland's protective instincts and makes him want to take care of him. Kenny has given up on dating. Roland’s straight and lonely, but for whatever reason, he enjoys Kenny's company. He’s also a caretaker, and it’s nice to feel so special.

I enjoyed this story set in the Takoda.universe with all.of the familiar faces and personalities.  Roland and Kenny suited each other and their relationship was just beautiful to experience with then. This story had lots of thoughts and.emotions as there were multiple people involved. Easy to read, feel and undervhm. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: A Very Messy Motel Brothers Wedding by Kate Hawthorne 3 of 5 stars

A Very Messy Motel Brothers Wedding

A Very Messy Motel Brothers Wedding by Kate Hawthorne
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Cameron Motel feels shorted that his oldest brother Charlie and his best friend Eddie got married in secret, and he's ready to throw them the wedding they deserve. Emotions run high, and words from the past resurface, leaving Cameron doubting his future with Luke. Thankfully, his brothers and their boyfriends rally to his side, and when all is said and done, maybe two couples will end the day with rings on their fingers.

This was a sweet short story which was high in emotions and feelings but I felt missed a trick by being only two weddings. I also wondered on the person who officiated but maybe that is just my unfamiliarity with the US. Easy to read, feel and understand this was an MM story with mature content.

Limitless

Limitless by Kate Hawthorne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Andy didn’t understand the romance of Paris until he kissed a stranger in a rainstorm. Then he followed the man home, hoping for a taste of the adventure of which he’d been so desperately searching. He got more than he bargained for, starting with a shared bottle of wine in a rented flat and ending with heartbreak in Bordeaux hotel. Leonidas Filo had been content to travel and wander, never wanting to settle—whether it was down or for less. The handsome American he spied on the street was only meant to be a moment of fun, but he couldn’t deny how right it felt to keep pushing his limits with Andy Motel. after months of separation, the two men who are still barely more than strangers find themselves together again, but this time in Cherry Creek. Leonidas is ready to offer everything he can, but Andy needs to find a way to turn a collection of moments into a lifetime of love.

This was a srory about passion and trust as the two men learnt about their own brand of love and what that meant for then. I loved the different approaches of the family. Leo's sisters both of which were typical big sisters. Easy to read, feel and understand this was an MM story with mature content and a BSDM-like D!s dynamic.

Theo Bruster has a bad habit. You could call him attentive or observant, and you would not be wrong, because Theo has always liked to watch. Growing up in a hotel has given him an exciting and easy life, but he's ready to put some space between himself and the only home he's ever known. But sometimes when you're not looking for anything, you find something, and Brad and Theo are about to learn that the hard way. Brad has secrets that not even his brothers know, but he finds himself opening up to Theo and trusting him in ways that are new to them both. I enjoyed this story with a traumatised man with PTSD and a man whose link fits perfectly to help their needs match. They both deserved love and I feel that their mutual respect was a clear path towards a lasting love. Lots of emotions for the characters in this story. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was a MM story with mature and a reference to an historical sexual assault.

Caleb's father’s best friend Keith is totally off limits. Too bad the sexy firefighter who also works in Station 69 is everything he ever wanted in a Daddy. Can Caleb handle a firefighter Daddy, or will he get burned?

This was a sweet Daddy story that had plenty of danger and drama for Keith and a lot of emotions for Caleb, Keith and his father as they all accepted the relationship. Lots of emotions and feelings in this story that were well described and easy to feel. This was a MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Faultless by Kate Hawthorne 4 of 5 stars

Faultless

Faultless by Kate Hawthorne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Eddie Alexander never meant to go to Cherry Creek. Faster than he could unmake a bed, Eddie’s life is turned upside down and he’s out of school with nowhere to go but a home that’s never been his. When he gets to Cherry Creek, the first face he sees is Charlie Motel, his best friend’s brother and also his lifelong crush. Charlie has always been the caretaker of his family, filling the roles of absentee father, loving mother, shoulder to cry on, tolerant husband, and whatever anyone else asked of him. He’s tired, he’s alone, and then Eddie shows up in need of help with an offer Charlie never saw coming. Charlie's answer is yes. Eddie takes control and, for the first time in years, Charlie feels like he can breathe. He’s free of other people’s problems, he’s living his own life, and under Eddie’s thoughtful guidance, he can truly be faultless.

I enjoyed this story which covered the relationship between Eddie and Charlie but also the emotions around all of the Motel brothers and their relationships. Eddie and Charlie's dynamic was unusual but right for them. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was a MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.
