Review: Glitched Fates & Stolen Mates by T.J. Rose 4 of 5 stars

Glitched Fates & Stolen Mates

Glitched Fates & Stolen Mates by T.J. Rose
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A darkly funny romance where Felix thinks he’s being stalked—but it’s actually Kit, his lovestruck colleague who’s been secretly watching him for years. To cover it up, Kit offers self-defence lessons, bringing them closer while his guilt grows. Meanwhile, real dangers from their past emerge, turning their messy situation into something more serious—before it all leads to a happy ending.

This was such an emotionally rich and slightly chaotic romance, and I loved every minute of it. Both Felix and Kit are wonderfully, painfully socially awkward—Kit in particular is an absolute disaster, and watching him try (and fail) to cope with his feelings while secretly pining was equal parts hilarious and heartbreaking. What really stood out was how genuinely horrified he was when he realised he’d actually frightened his mate Felix which added a strong emotional depth to all the humour. I also really enjoyed how the whole Killigrew Street team ended up getting involved at times, especially because Kit hadn’t told anyone that Felix was his mate. That added an extra layer of tension, awkwardness, and found-family warmth to the story. The plot itself kept things moving, with the Grey organisation abducting shifters to control, which tied directly into Kit being taken. Felix stepping up and fighting to find and rescue him was incredibly satisfying and showed just how much he’d grown. Overall, the story is packed with feelings—awkwardness, guilt, fear, love—and they all come through so clearly. It’s easy to get completely swept up in their emotions, making this a really engaging and heartfelt read with a well-earned HEA. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Always Enough by R.J. Scott 4 of 5 stars

Always Enough

Always Enough by R.J. Scott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Morgan arrives at Guardian Hall overwhelmed by trauma and terrified of failing his newborn daughter, Gabbi. As he learns to care for her and slowly heal, Cole — a wealthy, protective man who’s used to keeping his distance — finds himself drawn into their lives. A gentle connection grows between them as Morgan realises he’s seen and valued, not broken. It’s a tender hurt/comfort, single‑dad romance about safety, found family, and discovering you’re already enough.

I absolutely loved this story. Morgan’s arrival at Guardian Hall — traumatised, exhausted, and clinging to his newborn daughter Gabbi — was written with such raw vulnerability that it was impossible not to feel every moment with him. Guardian Hall truly became a lifeline, giving him the safety, tools, and confidence he needed to start rebuilding his life and his sense of self. Cole’s involvement made the story even richer. The way he slowly wove himself into Morgan and Gabbi’s world felt natural and deeply heartfelt, and watching their relationship develop was incredibly rewarding. The emotional depth throughout — both from their pasts and their present‑day healing — was beautifully handled. A tender, emotional, and wonderfully hopeful read. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Bear with Me by Edie Monte 2 of 5 stars

Bear with Me

Bear with Me by Edie Monte
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Blake’s holiday goes from bad to worse when the man who hogged half his seat on the plane ends up double‑booked into the same cabin he rented. After a night of sulking — and waking up curled against the surprisingly warm stranger — Blake learns Ollie is avoiding his own family’s pressure to settle down. As they share the small cabin, irritation turns into sympathy and then attraction, especially once Blake discovers Ollie is a bear shifter. With only one bed and growing feelings, Blake starts to think this Christmas might not be so terrible after all.

I struggled with this one. Blake’s obnoxious behaviour at the start made it hard for me to connect with him, and unfortunately I never warmed up to him as the story went on. Both characters felt a bit flat to me, and because of that I couldn’t fully sink into the romance or the emotional beats the novella was aiming for. Overall, it was an easy read, but not one I found myself enjoying. This was an MM story with mature content and set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Review: Always Hope by R.J.Scott 5 of 5 stars

Always Hope

Always Hope by R.J. Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Corporal Tyler Mason arrives at Guardian Hall, drowning in guilt after surviving the mission that killed his entire team. Cut off from his family and desperate to disappear, he finds unexpected compassion from the people there—especially Dr Marcus Stirling, a co‑founder battling his own past and hard‑won sobriety. A fragile connection between them slowly deepens into something neither expected, but love becomes a risk as guilt, grief, and old ghosts resurface. This is a story about a broken soldier, a recovering addict, and the healing bond that might save them both.

This story was overflowing with emotion, and I felt every step of both men’s journeys—one fighting to recover, the other fighting to stay steady in his own hard‑won sobriety. What I loved most was how human the book made them. Their pain, their setbacks, and their slow, fragile progress were never diminished or glossed over. Instead, their lives and struggles were treated with real weight and compassion. The book also shines a light on how poorly we often treat our veterans, and Tyler’s experience reflects that heartbreakingly well. In contrast, Guardian Hall felt like a sanctuary—full of care, hope, and understanding. A place where broken pieces weren’t judged, just gently gathered. A moving, heartfelt read that balances hurt, healing, and humanity beautifully. You might cry reading this story - I certainly did. This was an MM story with mature content.

Moonlit Nights & Northern Lights

Moonlit Nights & Northern Lights by T.J. Rose
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Two enemies are forced into a fake‑dating mission in Scotland—Rory, a chaotic wolf shifter with a zombie ferret, and Theodore, the telepathic detective who once hurt him deeply. As they investigate missing shifters, old wounds clash with new attraction, and their bickering partnership starts to blur into something dangerously close to real feelings. Surviving the mission is one thing… surviving each other is another.

I really enjoyed this story and the way it leans into that razor‑thin line between love and hate. Rory and Theodore spend so much time misunderstanding each other that their trip to Scotland becomes exactly what they needed—space to finally talk, listen, and see past all the assumptions they’ve been clinging to. The plot is full of drama, danger, and chaotic energy, which kept things moving, even if their constant bickering did get a bit tedious after a while. Still, the emotional payoff made it worth it. The writing is easy to read and understand, and the slow shift from enemies to something much more was really satisfying to watch unfold. This was an MM story with mature content.

Always You

Always You by R.J. Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A battle‑scarred veteran is forced into a Chicago shelter during a brutal winter—only to find Alex, the first love who broke his heart. Jazz is haunted by twenty years of war; Alex is burdened by the choice that tore them apart. Reunited in the last place either expected, they must confront old wounds and decide whether their once‑powerful connection is worth risking everything for again.

This book hit me right in the heart. It’s packed with powerful emotions from both men, and I felt every single moment right alongside them. Jazz’s journey—working through the ghosts of his service and finally facing the feelings he’d buried—was raw, painful, and beautifully written. I was rooting for him and Alex the whole way, hoping they’d find their way back to each other. What really stood out was how honestly the story reflects the way society often fails our veterans. Jazz’s struggles felt real, and Guardian Hall was such a moving contrast—a place built on care, hope, and genuine understanding. It felt like a sanctuary not just for the characters, but for the reader too. A deeply emotional, heartfelt second‑chance romance that stayed with me long after I finished. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Bite Marks & Broken Hearts by T.J. Rose 5 of 5 stars

Bite Marks & Broken Hearts

Bite Marks & Broken Hearts by T.J. Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Flynn flees to London only to be marked by a dangerously attractive demon, leaving dark magic growing inside him. His unexpected protector is Sebastián, a centuries‑old vampire who runs the city’s supernatural underworld and tries — unsuccessfully — to stay detached. As Flynn hides in Sebastián’s hotel and the demon closes in, their reluctant bond deepens, even while Sebastián struggles to keep his true nature secret.

This was such a fun PNR romance, packed with emotion, humour, and just the right amount of supernatural chaos. Sebastián is the perfect touch‑starved, emotionally guarded vampire, and Flynn — all golden‑retriever warmth and determination — is exactly the kind of human who would stubbornly (and adorably) break down those walls. Their dynamic is irresistible, especially once the sizzling scenes and serious fang action come into play. I loved the found‑family vibe of Killigrew Street, the snarky wolves, and the way both men carry deep emotional histories that shape who they are in the present. The story balances heart, heat, and supernatural drama beautifully, giving me plenty of feelings along the way. A thoroughly enjoyable, emotional, and entertaining read. This was an MM story with mature content.

No Sleep Till Pride

No Sleep Till Pride by Kota Quinn
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Avery jumps at the chance to interview his fashion idol for Dee Rama Magazine, only to discover the designer and his rock‑star fiancé live in the tiny town of Foggy Basin. There he meets Gideon, a handsome former bodyguard turned beekeeper who’s returned home, tired of living in the shadows while everyone he’s protected finds love. With Foggy Basin preparing for its first Pride parade, Avery chasing his dreams, and Gideon ready to start living for himself, their unexpected meet‑cute sparks something sweet and promising.

This was such a sweet novella, centred around Avery and Gideon meeting during Foggy Basin’s very first Pride parade. Their connection is instant, warm, and full of promise, and it left me genuinely excited to see how their story will unfold in the next Season. The tone is light, the pacing smooth, and the whole thing is wonderfully easy to read and understand — a charming little prequel that sets the stage beautifully for what’s to come. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: His Dragon Duo by Anna Sparrows 4 of 5 stars

His Dragon Duo

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sage longs for a mate and a family of his own, even while secretly pining for his best friend Dexter — another omega who doesn’t want kids. When the older unicorn shaman Sergio gets pulled into their lives, unexpected magic forces all three to rethink Fate, their bond, and what a future together might look like.

Sage and Dexter have always shared an undeniable pull, and I loved how that connection only deepened once Sergio entered their lives. It takes the three of them a little while to realise that they’re not dealing with one mate bond but two, and once that truth settles, the story shifts into a wonderfully dramatic, almost soap‑opera‑like journey as they face challenge after challenge testing their new relationship. The plot is easy to follow, the emotions are clear, and the dynamic between the three men grows in a way that feels natural and satisfying. A warm, engaging read with plenty of heart. This was an MMM story with mature content that was set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Review: If I See You Again by Joelle Lynne 3 of 5 stars

If I See You Again

If I See You Again by Joelle Lynne
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Malcolm is used to being stood up and oversharing, so after another failed date he impulsively connects with the stranger at the next table. David, stuck on a disastrous business trip, takes a chance on the man he saw get stood up — only to discover Malcolm is the consultant he’s meeting the next morning. What starts as a spontaneous night quickly hints at something more.

The connection between Malcolm and David is undeniable — what starts as pure passion quickly deepens into something steadier as their relationship settles and feelings take root. I really enjoyed watching them navigate that shift from heat to genuine emotion. The jump from the original anthology story to this longer version didn’t always land for me. Some scenes felt a little stilted, as if the expansion stretched the rhythm more than the story naturally allowed. I also found David harder to relate to at times; his confidence occasionally tipped into being a bit too pushy. Still, their chemistry is strong, the emotional moments are lovely, and the journey from a chance encounter to something real makes this a satisfying, heartfelt read. This was an MM story with mature content.

*** Please note that this story originally appeared in the Queers and Quills Anthology: Closer. It has been expanded from it's original 8.5k to a full length novel. ***

Review: That Telling Moment by Marlowe Kent 5 of 5 stars

That Telling Moment

That Telling Moment by Marlowe Kent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Stephen is determined to succeed in corporate law on his own merits, far from the shadow of his identical twin, a famous OnlyFans omega. But his new job brings humiliation, a CEO who won’t stop staring, and an unexpected connection with David Ryland — a brilliant, socially awkward alpha he finds stimming in a server room after a workplace mishap. Their quiet moments together grow into something neither planned, even as Stephen battles a hostile office and Ryland obsessively researches how to comfort an omega without overstepping. With a chaotic twin, a sharp‑tongued omega lawyer, and a neurodivergent alpha whose flirting sounds like lab notes, the tension between them is impossible to ignore.

The connection between Stephen and Ryland is the heart of this story — two men who meet in the unlikeliest way and end up helping each other grow in ways neither expected. I loved how they offered support and practical suggestions to one another, each filling gaps the other didn’t always realise he had. The emotional moments were beautifully written, and Ryland’s wonderfully inept but earnest attempts to learn — complete with research, statistics, and awkward logic — made him incredibly endearing. I also appreciated the storyline involving Stephen’s twin, and how he finally recognised the unhealthy situation he was in and took steps to change it. It added another layer of hope and healing to the book. A heartfelt, tender story that gave me both smiles and tears. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse.

Review: Ridge's Lost Keys by Della Cain by Kaytea Kat 3 of 5 stars

Ridge's Lost Keys (Found by Daddy Book 18)

Ridge's Lost Keys by Della Cain by Kaytea Kat
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Ridge locks himself out of the flat while wearing dinosaur pyjamas, his keys lost down the trash chute. Mortified, he’s rescued by Memphis, the handsome neighbour who takes him in, calls for help, and treats him with unexpected gentleness — leaving Ridge wondering if this embarrassing mishap might actually be the start of something lucky.

I enjoyed this sweet, low‑angst story, especially the gentle connection that grows between Ridge and Memphis. Their relationship has an easy charm, and I liked how they worked together to find practical compromises for living together — it made their dynamic feel grounded and supportive. That said, I would have loved a bit more emotional depth. The story is warm and pleasant, but it doesn’t dive as deeply into feelings as I hoped it would. Still, it’s an easy, enjoyable read with a cute pairing and a satisfying ending. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Kennard's Story by N.R. Walker 5 of 5 stars

Kennard's Story (Cronin's Key, #4)

Kennard's Story by N.R. Walker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Kennard and Stas are enjoying six quiet months together in a remote Russian cabin when Alec, Cronin, Eiji, and Jodis arrive with news of a supernatural disturbance in India. Their search leads the group through gates into strange, timeless dimensions where their vampire powers no longer work. Following a trail of snakes and ancient serpents, they uncover a threat very different from what they expected — and Kennard must confront his past to save their future.

There’s such a lovely sense of joy radiating from Kennard and Stas in this instalment — the quiet certainty of two people who have finally found the one place they truly belong: with each other. Their happiness makes a wonderful contrast to the chaos that follows when their friends arrive and the next world‑saving adventure begins. This time, the threat once again revolves around Alec’s power as the Key, but Kennard steps into a deeper role too, forced to reveal a long‑buried truth from his past that becomes essential to the solution. The story is packed with danger, drama, emotion, and those warm moments of connection that make this series so addictive. One of my favourite things throughout has been the author’s meticulous weaving of history, myth, and real locations into the narrative, and this book continues that tradition beautifully. It’s imaginative, heartfelt, and full of the rich detail that makes their world feel so alive. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: A Daddy for Him by Charity Parkerson 4 of 5 stars

A Daddy for Him

A Daddy for Him by Charity Parkerson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rhodes, a hardened security operative and Daddy without a Little, is still hurting after losing the boy he cared for. When Cairo shows up — vulnerable, desperate, and carrying a dangerous secret — Rhodes can’t turn him away. Cairo needs protection only someone like Rhodes can offer, and as danger closes in, the two form an unexpected bond neither of them saw coming.

The attraction between Rhodes and Cairo is immediate and compelling — a pull that grows stronger with every moment they share. Rhodes’ fierce protectiveness is one of the highlights of the story, especially as Cairo’s vulnerability and need for safety become clearer. I also loved the way Kylo stepped in to guide Cairo, helping him find confidence and strength in a world that had only ever hurt him. The book carries a lot of emotion, touching on themes of past trafficking, abuse, and the long shadows they cast, but it balances that darkness with tenderness, care, and the slow rebuilding of trust. And in the end, seeing Rhodes and Cairo find their happiness together made the journey worth it. A heartfelt, emotional read with danger, healing, and a well‑earned happy ending. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like Daddy/boy dynamic.

Cronin's Key III

Cronin's Key III by N.R. Walker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A year after becoming a vampire, Alec is still adjusting to his powers when strange half‑lycan, half‑dragon beings leave him suddenly powerless. These Zoan — creatures long mistaken for gargoyles — pull Alec, Cronin, and their friends into a quest across Paris, Rome, and Moscow. There, Alec uncovers the truth about gargoyles and the real purpose of the Key, realising he’ll need every ability he has — and maybe help from the dead — to survive the coming fight.

Alec and Cronin’s connection shines through every page — steady, certain, and impossible to ignore — even when the rare quiet moments between them are quickly swallowed by the chaos of a new threat. I loved how the story wove together danger, history, mythology, and even astronomy, taking them from one fascinating location to another. Alec’s comment about feeling like he’d stepped into a Dan Brown plot was absolutely perfect. There’s plenty of drama and mystery as they race to understand the Zoan, and the emotional weight around Jorge added a real ache to the journey. Despite all the action, the story remained easy to read, feel, and follow. A gripping, imaginative instalment with heart, humour, and high stakes. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Beary Mated Christmas by Lorelei M. Hart 2 of 5 stars

Beary Mated Christmas

Beary Mated Christmas by Lorelei M. Hart
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Denali once believed he and his best friend Abel were destined mates, but their first shift on Christmas Eve shatters that dream when Abel’s wolf doesn’t recognise him. Heartbroken, Denali avoids home every holiday, hiding in his college town. This year, a panic lie sends him to a random rental for Christmas — only to find himself sharing a bed with the very past he’s been running from.

The first half of this story pulled me in with its pacing, emotion, and setup — but the second half shifted so quickly that it felt like the romance and deeper storytelling were pushed aside. It was a bit jarring to see Denali and Abel suddenly confess everything and then, within two days, become mates, marked, and engaged. The emotional beats were there, but they didn’t have enough space to land. That said, the writing itself is easy to follow, the characters are engaging, and the premise is charming. I just wish the later chapters had slowed down enough to let the romance breathe. This was an MM story with mature content and set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Rally Point Zero

Rally Point Zero by Jacqueline McCall
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

After an alien invasion destroys Washington D.C., Commander Gabriel Lennox leads dangerous missions into the ruined city while paramedic Blake Lewis struggles to keep refugees alive with dwindling supplies. As the war drags on and every day becomes a fight to survive, the line between duty and love blurs. Their bond becomes the one thing they can’t give up — even when loving each other in a world with no guarantees is its own risk.

The connection between Gabriel and Blake is undeniable, even as they both struggle under the weight of an uncertain future. Their bond becomes this steady, glowing thread running through a world full of danger, loss, and impossible choices. I loved how the story balanced fierce, necessary violence with moments of real tenderness — those quiet touches and soft words that reminded them (and me) that humanity and compassion can survive even the worst circumstances. There’s passion, drama, danger, and so much heart woven through their journey. And while I was fully invested, I did find the rapid shifts in setting near the end a little hard to follow, since they were separated only by paragraph breaks. Still, the emotional core of the story more than carried me through. A gripping, heartfelt continuation of their fight for survival — and for each other. This was an MM story with mature content.

Cronin's Key II

Cronin's Key II by N.R. Walker
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Alec and Cronin are still basking in new love after Egypt, but Alec’s powerful, mysterious blood is causing dangerous ripples in the vampire world. With help from Jorge, a prophetic vampire child, they’re pulled into a new conflict that leads them to the China–Mongolia border. Beneath the earth — and amid a battle with the Terracotta Army — they finally learn the truth about the Key and Alec’s place in vampire history.

I loved watching Alec and Cronin’s connection deepen even further in this instalment. Their love feels stronger, steadier, and more certain than ever, and the discoveries they make about each other — and the effect they have on one another — only tighten that bond. Once again, danger circles them as others try to steal Alec’s power, but they face every threat side by side. With the help of both old friends and new allies, they navigated uncertainty, drama, and escalating risks, all while holding fast to the hope of an eternity together. What stayed with me most was their unwavering trust and the absolute certainty they have in each other. Their love is powerful, grounding, and beautifully constant, even when the world around them is anything but safe. This was an MM story with mature content.

Trigger Discipline by Jacqueline McCall
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When aliens invade Washington D.C., paramedic Blake Lewis is thrown into chaos, fighting to save lives in a city collapsing around him. He crosses paths with Gabriel Lennox, a hardened special‑forces operator he ends up rescuing. Forced to survive together through hostile streets, inhuman enemies, and a failing government, Blake and Gabriel try not to fall for each other in the middle of the apocalypse.

The connection between Blake and Gabriel is electric from the moment they collide in the middle of the invasion — a bond forged under fire that only grows stronger as the danger escalates. Even with the world falling apart around them, their pull toward each other feels undeniable. I loved the humour threaded through all the chaos, especially the sharp, fast banter that kept the tension from ever feeling too heavy. Blake’s ability to piece together how the aliens worked did stretch belief a little, but honestly, I didn’t mind — I was far too invested in the characters and their relationships to care. This story is intense, funny, emotional, and full of heart, and I’m absolutely looking forward to the final book in the duo. This was an MM story with mature content.

Cronin's Key

Cronin's Key by N.R. Walker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Detective Alec MacAidan thinks he’s used to strange, until a dying man gives him a warning and turns to dust. The incident draws Cronin, a thousand‑year‑old vampire Elder who’s spent centuries waiting for his fated mate — a man “with a shield,” now revealed to be Alec and his police badge. As the two struggle with their sudden bond, news erupts of a powerful vampire in Egypt preparing to unleash Death itself. Thrown into a world of ancient magic and hidden history, Alec learns that everything he knew about pharaohs and gods was wrong — and that he may be the key to stopping a catastrophe.

The pull between Alec and Cronin is immediate and impossible to ignore, and watching that connection deepen was one of my favourite parts of the story. The mysteries and magic surrounding them — from ancient secrets to impossible powers — kept me completely hooked. I was flying through chapters, desperate to know what happened next. I especially loved how Cronin gave Alec the space and time he needed to adjust to the idea of being bonded to a vampire. That patience made their relationship feel grounded and earned. And the supporting cast? Utterly addictive. Every side character added humour, tension, or heart in a way that made the world feel alive. Moonbeams & Mistletoe

Moonbeams & Mistletoe by Colbie Dunbar
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Indigo enters witness protection expecting a simple safe house, not a luxurious lodge run by a wolf‑shifter pack — or Riven, the future Alpha who instantly recognises him as his fated mate. Indigo has no idea shifters exist until he accidentally witnesses the pack’s full‑moon run on Christmas Eve and panics. Now Riven must convince him their bond is real, and Indigo has to choose between fear and the growing trust he feels for the man determined to protect him.

This novella has such a lovely pull between Indigo and Riven — that quiet, steady tug of a bond that’s more than instinct. Even when Indigo needs space to process the truth about shifters and the mate bond, Riven gives it to him without hesitation, trusting that what they share will bring him back when he’s ready. I really appreciated that their connection wasn’t just the mate bond but genuine affection and growing love. The story blends warmth, emotion, and a touch of danger in a way that feels effortless. It’s easy to read, easy to feel, and easy to root for these two as they navigate fear, trust, and the promise of something real. The Beacon and the Brine by Katherine McIntyre
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Elrich is pushed into an arranged marriage with Arielle Triton, a wealthy merfolk heiress he feels no real spark with. Instead, he finds himself drawn to Ursuline, the cecaelia family lawyer bound to the Tritons by contract. As his feelings grow, Elrich uncovers dark secrets behind the Triton family’s power — disappearances, whispers, and danger that make duty impossible to ignore. To save himself and Ursuline, he may have to break the very contracts that keep them trapped.

The connection between Elrich and Ursuline is the heart of this story — a bond so strong it rises above the contracts and obligations tying them both to the Triton family. Their relationship feels fated, tender, and quietly powerful, even as danger closes in around them. I loved the sense of drama throughout, especially as the darker truths behind the Tritons come to light. The stakes are high, the tension constant, and the worldbuilding rich with paranormal intrigue. The supporting cast of monster friends was a delight, and watching Elrich slowly become part of that community added warmth and hope to an otherwise perilous journey. A beautifully emotional paranormal romance with danger, loyalty, and a love that refuses to be contained. This was an MM story with mature content.

Shadow Prince

Shadow Prince by S. Rodman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Adam discovers that the childhood monster under his bed was real — a shadowy being named Hex who imprinted on him years ago and has now returned, exiled from the Shadow Realm and dependent on Adam to survive. Hex is smug, intrusive, and impossible to ignore, but he needs Adam’s help, and their old bond keeps pulling them together. Adam knows he should send him away, yet the creature who once hid under his bed is now firmly under his skin.

I loved the unusual, reluctant connection between Adam and Hex — a bond Adam fights every step of the way until he finally starts believing the truth Hex has been insisting on from the start. Their dynamic is equal parts chaotic, funny, and unexpectedly tender, and watching Adam slowly give in to what’s growing between them is one of the story’s biggest delights. The humour was funny, especially Hex’s compulsive need to reorganise Adam’s flat like a shadow‑realm housekeeper with opinions. The side characters added even more charm and energy, each bringing their own fun to the chaos swirling around Adam and Hex. Amid the jokes and banter, there’s real drama and moments of danger that keep the tension high. Altogether, it’s a lively, emotional, and thoroughly entertaining read. Review: Relentlessly Vengeful Ghost by K.M. Neuhold 4 of 5 stars

Relentlessly Vengeful Ghost

Relentlessly Vengeful Ghost by K.M. Neuhold
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ghost has no memory of his life before an overdose left him for dead seven years ago, and he’s spent every day since hunting the Sleepless Reapers who destroyed him. Breaking into the wrong house puts him in the path of Alessio, a mafioso who becomes an unexpected source of devotion and steadiness. Ghost doesn’t have time for feelings, but Alessio is the first person to make him want more than vengeance. As Ghost pursues his revenge, the two form a dark, fragile connection — two men keeping each other company in the shadows while they fight their demons.

This story dives deep into the trauma Ghost endured at the hands of the Sleepless Reapers, and it’s that history of abuse that fuels every step of his relentless quest for vengeance. His pain is raw and ever‑present, giving the book a powerful emotional core. What really stood out to me was the connection between Ghost and Alessio — unexpected, intense, and slowly transformative. Alessio’s steady devotion becomes the first thing to pull Ghost toward something resembling a real life, even if he can only take small steps out of the darkness. Their bond grows in quiet, careful moments, and the emotional weight of that journey is beautifully handled. The story is packed with feeling — anger, grief, longing, and the fragile hope that healing might be possible. It’s gripping, emotional, and full of heart. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.

Review: Next of Kin by Marie Sinclair 3 of 5 stars

Next of Kin

Next of Kin by Marie Sinclair
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Nick, once the effortless playboy of his friend group, realizes he wants something deeper — a truth that hits hard when a casual hookup with Zack fizzles and Zack is later found dead. Aaron, Zack’s brother, is desperate for answers, and when Nick turns out to be the last person to see Zack alive, the two meet under heartbreaking circumstances. As they search for the truth, an unexpected connection forms between them, pulling them closer in both grief and hope.

An unusual, unforgettable meeting sets the tone for this novella, and the pull between Nick and Aaron is undeniable from the start. What I loved most is how slowly and thoughtfully their relationship develops — no rushed hookup, just a gentle build of trust, comfort, and genuine romance as they navigate grief and uncertainty together. The mystery surrounding Zack’s murder adds a compelling thread, and while Kit’s storyline takes up a surprising amount of space without a real conclusion, it still enriches the emotional landscape of the book. In the end, this is a warm, satisfying novella with a final note that genuinely made me smile. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Touch by A.W. Scott 4 of 5 stars

Touch: An M/M Mafia Romance

Touch: An M/M Mafia Romance by A.W. Scott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Pip is a deadly, chaos‑loving assassin who’s always worked alone — until he meets Henny, the strict, controlled second‑in‑command who seems immune to his charm. Pip can’t resist pushing his buttons, and the tension between them only grows. Surrounded by their found‑family of mafia men, Pip sets his sights on winning Henny over, determined to claim the man he wants and carve out their own version of a happily ever after.

A strikingly intimate story built on the powerful connection between Pip and Henny — two men who fit together in ways neither expected. I loved how Henny brought order, steadiness, and care into Pip’s chaotic world, giving him the structure he never knew he needed. And in return, Pip offered Henny purpose, devotion, and a kind of trust that felt deeply earned. Their dynamic flips the usual script: Pip may be the dangerous one, but the love between them is absolute. This is a different kind of Daddy/boy story, one where the emotional balance is as compelling as the power exchange, and where their bond grows through loyalty, vulnerability, and sheer determination. A quick, engaging read with a relationship that feels both intense and unexpectedly tender. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like Daddy/boy dynamic.

Review: Dirty Little Secret by Riley Hart 4 of 5 stars

Dirty Little Secret

Dirty Little Secret by Riley Hart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

James, a forty‑year‑old professor, has been meeting Colton through an app because their emotional needs align. He plans to end things, but his life is upended when he suddenly gains custody of younger siblings — and then discovers Colton is now a student in his class. Despite the age gap and the professional boundary between them, their connection only deepens as James leans on the structure Colton provides and Colton feels increasingly drawn to James’s vulnerability and strength. What began as a private arrangement becomes a complicated, meaningful bond neither of them can ignore.

A deeply emotional story with an undeniable connection at its centre, this book beautifully shows how James and Colton’s bond grows into something bigger than either of them expected — a relationship that expands to include James’s two siblings until the four of them feel like a real family. Their dynamic is tender, steady, and full of longing, and watching them navigate that pull is incredibly satisfying. I appreciated that the story doesn’t shy away from the complicated emotions involved: the shock and responsibility of unexpected guardianship, the fear and desire wrapped up in a forbidden relationship, and the vulnerability required from both men as they try to do right by each other and the kids. It’s heartfelt, easy to read, and grounded in genuine feeling, making their eventual togetherness feel well earned and deeply warm. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.

Review: Midnight Mist by Michele Mills 3 of 5 stars

Midnight Mist

Midnight Mist by Michele Mills
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Naomi knows the rules on Timbur: never remove your gloves around an unmated male, or you risk triggering a mating bond. So at the Dark Moon Costume Ball, she keeps her gloves firmly on and avoids Chief — the brooding, devastatingly handsome Xylan miner who’s been watching her all night and has a reputation for harsh words. But when midnight strikes and a strange mist fills the cavern, Naomi collapses with the others. She wakes to find her glove missing and her bare hand clasped in Chief’s. The bond has snapped into place, and his growled “You’re mine” makes it clear her life has just changed forever.

A fast, dramatic read with all the intrigue you’d want from a masked ball — the mystery, the anonymity, and the electric tension of Naomi and Chief watching each other from across the room long before either of them speaks. That mutual awareness gives the whole story a delicious slow-burn edge, even as the plot leans into instalove territory. Naomi is wonderfully strong and feisty, refusing to be intimidated even when everything spirals out of her control, and Chief is exactly the kind of determined, unshakeable presence who matches her perfectly. The claiming ceremony adds a burst of high‑stakes drama that fits the world and their dynamic so well. Short, punchy, and novella‑like, this story delivers quick chemistry, bold emotion, and a satisfying hit of destiny‑driven romance. This was an MF story with mature content.

*** Note this was originally released within a charity anthology. This rerelease is expanded, and includes an all-new epilogue!

Review: Tender by E.M. Lindsey 5 of 5 stars

Tender

Tender by E.M. Lindsey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Miles is at his lowest — dumped, homeless, and hopeless — when Emmett, his ex‑girlfriend’s father, and Emmett’s husband, Cosimo, take him in. What Miles thought was a closed, perfect marriage turns out to be far more open and welcoming, and their growing interest in him sparks a dangerous kind of hope. As he slowly lets himself trust their care and affection, Miles begins to realize that his future — and his happily ever after — might be with them.

A tender, passionate story built around the undeniable pull between Miles, Emmett, and Cosimo — a dynamic that feels perfectly suited to who they are and what they each need. Their connection is immediate, magnetic, and deeply emotional, and the way they fit together makes their growing relationship feel both inevitable and right. I really appreciated that the book doesn’t shy away from the harder topics. The exploration of abuse, consent, and healing is handled with care, giving real weight to the emotional work each of them has to do. And Miles — sweet, nervous, hopeful Miles — is absolutely adorable. It’s so easy to see why he’s exactly the person Emmett and Cosimo would fall for, and how naturally he slots into their lives. A heartfelt, spicy, and emotionally rich story about trust, vulnerability, and finding a love big enough for three. This was an MMX story with mature content and BDSM-like D/s and Daddy/boy dynamics.

Review: First Take by E.M. Denning 4 of 5 stars

First Take

First Take by E.M. Denning
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Asher finally gets to film with Lukas Knight’s studio, but he’s still reeling from losing Lukas to Sawyer. His scene partners, Jax Fisher and Blue Davies, step in to support him. Blue, a guarded vet tech who still works scenes, finds himself wanting to take care of Asher — and noticing Jax’s long‑held feelings for him. Jax has loved Blue for years, and now he’s drawn to Asher too. Instead of choosing, he starts imagining a relationship that includes all three of them. If Blue can risk trusting, and Asher can open his heart again, Jax might finally get the chance to build something real with both men.

A beautifully messy, big‑hearted story about three men who need each other more than they realise.
Jax and Blue have been circling each other for years, carrying a quiet, hidden love neither has been brave enough to name. Their connection burns hot beneath the surface, but it’s Ash who becomes the unexpected catalyst — the glue that draws them together rather than pulling them apart. Ash arrives in pieces, hurting and vulnerable, and while he desperately needs their support, it becomes clear that Jax and Blue need each other just as much. Their chemistry is intense, but it’s the emotional work — the honesty, the communication, the willingness to lean on friends — that gives the story its weight. This book is full of big feelings, complicated bonds, and the kind of tenderness that makes you root for all three men to find something real together. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Sugar by E.M. Lindsey 5 of 5 stars

Sugar

Sugar by E.M. Lindsey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Juno’s life unravels after a diagnosis threatens his sight, leaving him scared and hopeless. Piper, the older mall security guard he’s secretly admired, offers to take him on a bucket‑list trip before he goes blind. It’s not a cure, but it gives Juno comfort, connection, and a glimpse of a future he thought he’d lost — if he can let himself be vulnerable enough to reach for it.

A beautifully emotional story built around the undeniable connection between Juno and Piper as they slowly fall in love while Juno struggles to cope with his deteriorating eyesight. Their bond feels tender and immediate, giving Juno something steady to hold on to even when fear and uncertainty threaten to overwhelm him. I really enjoyed the warmth of the family and friend relationships woven throughout the book — they add so much heart. That said, Juno’s reluctance to tell his two best friends about his diagnosis felt strange at times, especially given how close they are. Still, the story is easy to feel and understand, full of vulnerability, affection, and the quiet hope that love can make even the hardest moments a little brighter. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: His Downfall by by M.M. Farmer 3 of 5 stars

His Downfall

His Downfall by M.M. Farmer
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Quincy, a severed omega still hurting from his past, meets Jack, an alpha trapped by his powerful father’s expectations. One night together sparks a connection neither expected. When they try to escape, they uncover a dangerous plot involving Jack’s father and Quincy’s abusive ex. Forced to fight for freedom and justice, they cling to the hope that love — and healing — might still be possible.

An emotional story about two men carrying very different kinds of damage — Quincy, still hurting from the brutal severing of his bond, and Jack, weighed down by the control and expectations of his powerful father. Their connection was immediate and intense, giving both of them something to hold on to even when the world around them spirals into chaos. The plot can feel wild at times, but the heart of the story — their bond and their fight for freedom — stays strong. I especially enjoyed the unexpected tie‑in with the Bangers and Mash company, which grounded the story and added a fun sense of continuity. A turbulent, passionate read with plenty of emotion and grit. This was an MM story with mature content and set in the omegaverse.

Most of You

Most of You by E.M. Lindsey
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Emil moves to the East Coast hoping to become a better version of himself and finally face the past he’s been avoiding — not to fall for his gorgeous, soft‑spoken neighbour. But after one unforgettable one‑night stand with Renzo, friendship starts to grow, and walking away becomes harder than Emil ever expected. Struggling to believe he can truly change, Emil tries to protect his heart even as Renzo keeps giving him hope with every gentle kiss.

A beautifully emotional story about the powerful connection between Emil and Renzo — a bond that becomes the spark Emil needs to finally face his past and work through the parts of himself he’s always doubted. Their chemistry is intense, but it’s the tenderness between them that truly stands out. I loved Renzo and his brother Matty, especially the way they welcomed Emil into their world with such warmth and care. Their support gives the story an added layer of heart. This romance is full of passion, vulnerability, and big feelings, making Emil and Renzo’s journey both moving and deeply satisfying. This was an MM story with mature content.
