Review: His Temporary Alpha Mate by Jax Stuart 4 of 5 stars

His Temporary Alpha Mate

His Temporary Alpha Mate by Jax Stuart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The beta sickness offers Sweetwater’s betas a fresh start, but Dalton needs an alpha to complete the change. When his first plan fails, he turns to Larken, whose steady presence becomes both comfort and temptation. Acting as Dalton’s temporary alpha brings them closer, blurring the line between convenience and something real. With outside tensions rising and Dalton fighting old habits, both men must decide if they can build the family Dalton has always longed for.

Dalton and Larken’s deep friendship and simmering attraction were the heart of this story, long before they ever considered forming a bond or becoming true mates. I could really feel Dalton’s desperation to have a child and how that longing shaped his choices and strained his relationships, making his journey especially emotional. As always, the mix of danger and drama surrounding the local avian shifters added tension in the background, keeping the stakes high while the relationship slowly shifted into something real. A heartfelt, engaging read with strong emotions and a bond that felt inevitable from the start. This was an MM story with mature content and set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Review: Gem by Athena Steller 3 of 5 stars

Gem

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Gem is a control‑focused overachiever with a thriving hockey career and a committed anonymous online D/s relationship. But when his new teammate Luka arrives, Gem finds himself drawn to him in ways he can’t ignore. Luka, devastated by a last‑minute trade, develops feelings for both Gem and his anonymous Dom, Beelz — until he begins to suspect they might be the same man. As emotions build and Luka reaches a breaking point, Gem steps in, forcing both of them to finally reveal the truth and risk their hearts.

Gem and Luka have an undeniable connection, and watching it unfold — even through all the confusion of their anonymous online dynamic colliding with real life — was a lot of fun at first, even if it did start to feel a bit frustrating as the truth dragged out. I always enjoy spending time with the three fruit‑bat shifter brothers, and their interactions with each other and their partners continue to be a highlight. Their support, teasing, and loyalty add so much warmth to the story. Overall, this was easy to read and understand, full of emotion, and built around a relationship that felt fated from the start. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.

Review: Vetted for Vengeance by Charlotte Brice 4 of 5 stars

Vetted for Vengeance: A Dark MM Celebrity Romance

Vetted for Vengeance: A Dark MM Celebrity Romance by Charlotte Brice
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rhys is a beloved veterinarian with a public image built on compassion, but when legal avenues fail to stop animal cruelty, he secretly takes justice into his own hands. Noah, stuck working at a grim puppy farm, helps a masked intruder free the dogs — only to discover it’s Rhys and to witness far more than he intended. Their connection quickly turns intense and dangerous, forcing Noah to decide how much of Rhys’s darkness he can accept, and whether loving him means living with blood on his hands.

I loved how naturally Noah fit into Rhys’s life, especially with his gentle focus on the health and wellbeing of the dogs rescued from the puppy farm. That shared compassion became the heart of their connection. Rhys showed his affection in the only ways he truly knew how — by caring for Noah and for the animals Noah cared about — and it made their relationship feel both tender and a little obsessive in the best way. Rhys is a strange, intense man with his OCD routines and his lethal determination to stop animal cruelty, but Noah softens him in ways no one else ever has. Their bond grows out of that mix of darkness and devotion, and it was delightful to watch unfold. The story was full of emotions and feelings from start to finish, and the balance between danger, affection, and moral complexity made it a gripping, satisfying read. This was an MM story with mature content.

The Espresso Shot

The Espresso Shot by M.J. Booth
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Tyler has finally been diagnosed but isn’t sure what it means for his future. Starting college in a field his parents don’t value, he just hopes someone will see more in him than his illness. Brandt, a nurse who frequents Tyler’s coffee shop, notices the signs he tries to hide — and soon discovers Tyler is also a Little. As Brandt learns about that world, he realises caring for Tyler feels natural, but Tyler doubts he could ever be a Daddy. They need to figure out whether there’s a dynamic that works for them both, and Brandt hopes Tyler will let him in enough to see he’s more than “the sick kid.”

This story really highlighted how much care Tyler had been missing for most of his life, and how perfectly the Daddy dynamic fit what he needed — not just emotionally, but in helping him manage his health and day‑to‑day life. Brandt was exactly the right man for him: gentle, patient, and never once making Tyler feel ashamed about his finances, his living situation, or the things he struggled with. That respect made their connection feel genuinely healing. I also loved that Brandt wasn’t wealthy or larger‑than‑life; being a nurse made everything feel more grounded and real. The support from the other Daddies added warmth and reassurance, giving Brandt the guidance he needed while Tyler found his footing. The whole book was full of emotions and tender moments, and their growing bond felt honest and deeply earned. A heartfelt, comforting read. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Hayden by Dale Mayer 5 of 5 stars

Hayden

Hayden by Dale Mayer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Hayden returns to New York to track down Arlene Cuddy, whose escape reveals her involvement in a much larger global trafficking and blackmail network. When journalist Andrea Galanis becomes a target of the same organization, she turns to Hayden — an old friend and former Navy SEAL — for protection. Together, they uncover a web of corruption tied to elite universities and powerful families, forcing Andrea to confront her past while they fight to save the victims and stay alive long enough to imagine a future together.

This story is packed with danger and tension from the moment Andrea is pulled into a global web of kidnapping, trafficking, and political corruption. The stakes around her are constant and genuinely dramatic, and that sense of threat makes every choice feel razor‑sharp. What I loved most, though, was the simmering passion between Andrea and Hayden — always there beneath the chaos, waiting for a moment when survival wasn’t the only priority. Their dynamic is fantastic: Andrea fierce, stubborn, and determined; Hayden steady, protective, and quietly confident. Together they balance each other perfectly, and their connection feels both inevitable and deeply earned. The emotions throughout are easy to feel and understand, from fear and frustration to longing and hope. A gripping, dramatic read with a relationship that shines even in the darkest moments.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Review: Portrait of a Killer by K.A Merikan 3 of 5 stars

Portrait of a Killer

Portrait of a Killer by K.A. Merikan
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Victor has spent years hating the reclusive artist Sevastyan, convinced the man is a fraud whose self‑portraits are too beautiful to be real. After one exhibition destroys Victor’s career, his anger festers into obsession, filling his sketchbooks with violent fantasies. Determined to expose Sevastyan, Victor breaks into his home — only to discover the artist is nothing like he expected. Sevastyan is powerful, amused, and fully aware of Victor’s fixation. Instead of being the hunter, Victor becomes the one trapped, as Sevastyan claims him as a captive muse and makes it clear that Victor will not be leaving.

This is a very dark romance with several uncomfortable themes, so it’s definitely one to approach with care. The story centres on a twisted, shifting obsession — first Victor’s fixation on Sevastyan, and then the far more intense, consuming obsession Sevastyan develops for Victor. Their dynamic is unsettling, messy, and often disturbing, and some of the behaviours and language push into depraved territory. Despite that, I found myself invested. The tension between them, the psychological push‑and‑pull, and the way their obsession reshapes itself kept me turning the pages. It’s a well‑written story that leans fully into its darkness, and while it won’t be for everyone, it delivers exactly the kind of intense, chaotic emotion it promises. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: His Impossible Elf Mate by Jax Stuart 4 of 5 stars

His Impossible Elf Mate

His Impossible Elf Mate by Jax Stuart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Tearlach, an elf searching for answers about the beta sickness and the elven fertility crisis, unexpectedly finds Axel — a man who feels like part of his soul. Axel is slowly recovering from the sickness, and Tearlach’s presence brings him comfort, but new revelations shake Axel’s long‑held dreams. As hidden truths emerge and the stakes rise for both elves and shifters, the two must decide whether their love is worth the sacrifices they may have to make to stay together.

This story had such an undeniable connection between Tearlach and Axel, even as they each battled their own struggles. Their bond felt powerful from the start, and I loved how their families stood firmly behind them both — that support made every challenge feel a little less overwhelming. And with the favour of the goddess on their side, it was hard not to believe they were meant to succeed. The raw emotions running through the book were beautifully written, and the growing strength between elves and shifters added a richness to the worldbuilding. I really enjoyed this instalment and the way love, loyalty, and hope wove through every part of their journey. This was an MM story with mature content and set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Review: The Perfect Blend by MJ Booth 3 of 5 stars

The Perfect Blend

The Perfect Blend by M.J. Booth
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Orion has been on his own since seventeen, exhausted but determined to stay independent. His new job at the coffee shop gives him just enough stability to keep going. Garrett, a Daddy nearing forty and longing for real connection, recognises Orion as the man he went home with weeks earlier and is instantly drawn to him. Orion’s walls are high, but Garrett is patient — and his frequent visits to Shade Grown Coffee make it clear he’s hoping Orion will eventually let him in.

This was such a sweet, gentle story, and Garrett was absolutely perfect for Orion. I loved how supportive and careful he was with him — never pushing, never judging, and especially never making Orion feel embarrassed about his finances or living situation. That level of respect made their relationship feel safe and genuinely nurturing. They settled into their dynamic as naturally as they settled into their kink, with clear communication and a softness that made their connection easy to root for. The whole book was simple to read and understand, with a warm tone that let the emotions shine through. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Under His Rule by Davidson King 5 of 5 stars

Under His Rule

Under His Rule by Davidson King
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Prince Julian Davaros is adored as the heir to the Lamdera Islands, but secretly he’s a serial killer known only to his family and bodyguard. When Wynn Carter visits the islands for his thirtieth birthday, he unexpectedly catches Julian’s interest — not as a victim, but as someone Julian wants to claim. Wynn is swept into a glamorous, intoxicating romance, unaware of the darkness beneath it. But when someone targets him to expose Julian’s secrets, the prince’s violent nature erupts. As their lives spiral into chaos, Wynn learns the truth, and Julian must choose between giving everything up… or eliminating the man he’s become obsessed with.

This was a wonderfully dark and compelling story, built around Julian’s obsessive fixation on Wynn — an obsession so intense he even altered the itinerary of a royal tour just to stay close to him. Their connection was unsettling at times but also strangely intimate, especially in the way they helped steady each other. I loved how Julian could calm Wynn’s ADHD‑scattered mind, helping him feel focused instead of clumsy, while Wynn grounded Julian enough to quiet his violent urges or at least limit the damage. The writing made their thoughts and emotions incredibly easy to feel, pulling me right into their twisted, magnetic dynamic. The supporting cast was fantastic too, adding humour, tension, and depth, and I’d love to know more about the rest of the royal family. A dark, addictive read with a pair of characters who shouldn’t work together but absolutely do. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: His Bonded Omega Mate by Jax Stuart 3 of 5 stars

His Bonded Omega Mate

His Bonded Omega Mate by Jax Stuart
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Roan hopes for a fresh start in Sweetwater, but staying behind during the beta sickness puts him in danger — and leads him to his fated mate, Hiroshi, who is already emotionally bonded to two betas and wants Roan to join them. Hiroshi is desperate to find his mate before being forced into a dangerous arranged marriage, and Roan seems willing to try their unconventional bond. But when all four attempt to bond, unexpected consequences arise that could change shifter kind forever. This instalment is darker, with more violence and discussions of coerced consent.

This instalment really leans into the unconventional dynamic between fated mates and bonded mates, and I found that part of the story fascinating. Roan was the absolute standout for me — he tried so hard to give everyone what they needed, even when his efforts weren’t appreciated or acknowledged nearly enough. His patience, strength, and willingness to shoulder the emotional weight made him feel like the true hero of the book. Hiroshi, on the other hand, often came across as selfish and spoilt, and there were several moments where I genuinely wished Roan had told him no. Tate’s behaviour didn’t help either, which made some parts harder to enjoy. Large sections of the story focused on the betas and the lingering effects of their illness, and I actually liked how that tied into the wider plot. The kidnappings, political manoeuvring, and shifting alliances added tension and kept things moving. Overall, it was an engaging read with plenty of drama, emotion, and layered relationships — but my struggles with Hiroshi and Tate meant I had to mark it down a bit. This was an MM but sometimes MMM or MMMM story with mature content and set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Review: Sullied by Lee Colgin 3 of 5 stars

Sullied: MM Paranormal Romance

Sullied: MM Paranormal Romance by Lee Colgin
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Dr. Rupert Martin works in a secret lab creating hybrid vampires, something he regrets once he learns the truth. When SullivanSpecimen 19 — escapes, injured and moments from sunrise, he turns to the only person who ever showed him kindness. Ru takes him in, and as they run from the lab’s reach, danger grows alongside an unexpected attraction. Together, they must decide whether they can destroy the very place that created Sully before it destroys them.

I really liked the way Ru and Sully’s connection began with simple kindness — Ru treating Sully as a person who deserved care rather than a lab specimen. That early respect made their bond feel genuine, and Sully’s childlike delight at every new experience was one of the most charming parts of the story. I did find their shift from patient and caretaker to lovers a little strange at times, and honestly, Sully often seemed to have a stronger emotional connection with Zoe. Still, the story had plenty of feelings throughout, most of them carried beautifully by Sully, who really became the heart of the book. An enjoyable, emotional read with a unique dynamic and a memorable pairing. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: A Tall Order by M.J. Booth 3 of 5 stars

A Tall Order

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Austin is still grieving the loss of his Daddy and has spent years burying his Little side under work. Remington, his Daddy’s best friend, keeps checking in, worried about how much Austin is suppressing. After three years, a visit to the coffee shop finally breaks Austin’s façade, and one night of comfort turns into a whole weekend — leaving them both unsure whether they can return to being just friends or if something deeper has begun.

I really enjoyed the connection between Remington and Austin, especially the way Remington was so determined to help Austin live as his true self again after years of grief and suppression. Their communication was a highlight for me — both men were clear, honest, and intentional about making sure they were compatible not just as Daddy and little, but as partners building a real relationship. I also liked how the story balanced emotional healing with everyday life, though I do wish we’d gotten an update on the coffee shop. There was a moment where it seemed like Trevor wasn’t meeting the owner’s expectations, but it never came up again. Overall, this was an easy, heartfelt read with big emotions and feelings that were simple to understand and feel right along with the characters. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Bruiser by Emmy Sanders 4 of 5 stars

Bruiser

Bruiser by Emmy Sanders
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Trevor enters college focused on studying and building his future business, until a fiery encounter in the library pulls Isaac into his orbit. Isaac’s sharp attitude hides old hurt, but their shared love of poetry and undeniable chemistry slowly breaks down his walls. As they grow closer, Trevor worries that Isaac will pull away when he learns about the adult videos Trevor films on the side. Instead, the revelation sparks an unexpected shared interest, turning their initial clash into a tender, opposites‑at‑first‑glance romance filled with poetry, supportive friends, and the beginnings of Elite 8 Studios.

I really enjoyed the undeniable connection between Trevor and Isaac, especially how their shared love of poetry became the thread that pulled them closer. Trevor giving Isaac the confidence to face his old hurts and finally live the life he wanted was one of my favourite parts of the story. And I loved how Isaac, in turn, was so openly supportive of Trevor’s chosen business and the adult videos he was creating — their trust in each other felt genuine and earned. The emotions and feelings throughout were easy to understand, and both characters came across as wonderfully human in the way they navigated their fears and hopes. It was a little strange that the origins of Elite 8 Studios didn’t appear until book seven, but it was still a sweet, engaging addition to the series. This was an MM story with mature content.

His Rejected Alpha Mate

His Rejected Alpha Mate by Jax Stuart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Jasper finally reunites with his son in the Sweetwater pack, only to discover his fated mate in Dakota — something he feels too overwhelmed to accept. Dakota, still grieving Cooper, is hurt by the rejection but refuses to give up on the future he glimpses with Jasper. An unexpected pregnancy forces them closer, and when an outside threat targets the pack, Dakota must prove his worth and protect the family he hopes to be part of.

This was an emotional continuation of the series, and I really felt for Jasper as he struggled with his deep‑rooted fear of alphas after years of historic abuse. It made complete sense that accepting his fated mate, Dakota, took time — even if that hesitation was sometimes frustrating. Dakota’s patience and understanding were wonderful to see, and I admired how he kept trying without ever pushing too hard. I also loved how their story was woven through the ongoing journey of Blake and Kade, bringing the families and friendships together in a way that added warmth and depth. The mix of pack bonds, personal healing, and shifting relationships made the emotions throughout easy to feel and understand. The ending was lovely and satisfying, though I did struggle with Jasper at times because his rejection went on longer than I expected. Still, the emotional payoff made the journey worthwhile. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Thick as Thieves

Thick as Thieves by Michele Mills
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Ines travels to Timbur to investigate a dangerous secret and ends up under the protection of Trunk, a huge Xylan miner who can’t stand her—or journalists in general. Their mutual irritation is complicated by growing attraction, but they’re supposedly not biologically compatible. When someone tries to kill her and a med lab unexpectedly heals her, everything changes. Trunk recognises her as his mate, leaving Ines realising she didn’t just come for a story… she’s become part of it.

I really enjoyed this instalment, especially the way the connection between Ines and Trunk deepened only after her medical treatment changed everything. Their bond shifts from reluctant allies to something intense and undeniable, and it made the second half of the story more enjoyable. I loved Ines’s determination to uncover the truth, even when the investigation turned dangerous. Her stubborn drive, paired with Trunk’s fierce protectiveness, created a great balance between tension and tenderness. With plenty of danger, drama, and high‑stakes moments, this was an exciting, emotional read that kept me hooked from start to finish. This was an MF story with mature content.

His Reluctant Omega Mate

His Reluctant Omega Mate by Jax Stuart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kade, a traumatised omega who’s spent years on the run, doubts any alpha could ever want him. When he meets his fated mate, Blake, he longs to believe in the bond but keeps his distance out of fear. Blake, however, is determined to show Kade that he’s safe, valued, and loved — and that he would never harm the omega fate chose for him.

I loved this story. Kade’s trauma, his failing health, and his deep distrust of alphas made his journey incredibly emotional, and it was easy to feel just how much he’d endured. Blake was the perfect balance to that — protective, patient, and determined to keep Kade safe without ever pushing too hard. The friendships and pack dynamics added so much richness, especially in contrast to the betrayals and political tensions surrounding them. I also really enjoyed that Kade and Blake’s relationship grew in a more traditional, human way through dating, giving Kade the space he needed to trust again. The book is full of big emotions and feelings as Kade slowly learns to believe in himself, in Blake, and in the possibility of a future shaped by love rather than fear. Review: Caleb by Cora Rose 4 of 5 stars

Caleb

Caleb by Cora Rose
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Whit keeps everyone at arm’s length, convinced his secrets and sharp edges make closeness impossible. But when his new roommate, Caleb, arrives with warmth, trust, and an easy brightness, Whit feels something inside him begin to soften. The more Caleb settles into his life, the more Whit wants to let him in — even though he’s terrified that revealing the truth about himself will destroy the fragile connection growing between them.

This story, told entirely from Whit’s point of view, really highlighted how much he was struggling with the complex emotions tied to his family obligations and the life he actually wanted for himself. Having already seen Caleb’s perspective in the first book, it was fascinating to watch Whit wrestle with feelings he’d never allowed himself to acknowledge. I loved how Caleb arrived with his exuberant, loving family, and how his aunt in particular gave Whit a glimpse of the warmth and acceptance his own childhood had lacked. Their presence added so much heart to the story and helped Whit slowly open up. The book was full of layered emotions and feelings as both the family dynamic and Whit and Caleb’s relationship developed. A thoughtful, heartfelt continuation of the series. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Ricky and Leonardo by M.A. Innes 4 of 5 stars

Ricky and Leonardo

Ricky and Leonardo by M.A. Innes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ricky is newly exploring his independence and becomes captivated by a confident online community he isn’t quite ready for. When they decide he needs guidance, they introduce him to Leonardo — an artist who knows exactly what he wants and instantly sees potential in Ricky’s curiosity and charm. Their chaotic first meeting sparks a connection, and as they grow closer, Leonardo offers structure and support while Ricky brings energy and spontaneity into his life.

Ricky’s sheltered upbringing made his journey both endearing and emotional, and I really felt how much he needed guidance after relying on the internet for everything he thought he knew. I loved the way Leo stepped in with such steady patience — explaining things clearly, protecting him from the more exuberant Leashes & Lace models, and giving him the structure he’d never had. Ricky’s enthusiasm and hunger for knowledge were such a great contrast to Leo’s calm, grounded presence, and watching Ricky flourish under that gentle guidance was incredibly satisfying. The story was easy to read and understand, with just enough emotion woven through as Ricky worked through feelings he’d never been taught how to navigate. In the end, Ricky truly was the perfect doll for Leo, and their dynamic made this a sweet, engaging read. This was an MM story with mature content and a BSDM-like D/s dynamic with dollification.

His Christmas Crush

His Christmas Crush by A.W. Scott
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Carter spends Christmas with his roommate’s family to avoid his own, only to be instantly drawn to Trevor’s older, very handsome brother, Noah. Noah feels the same spark but tries to ignore it—until a snowstorm traps them together and the chemistry finally boils over. A shy college student, a best friend’s older brother, and a snowy holiday setting make for a cosy, steamy match.

This novella was a sweet instalove Christmas story with plenty of warmth woven through every chapter. I really enjoyed the festive atmosphere and the way the entire Cooper family seemed determined to nudge Carter and Noah together at every opportunity. One of my favourite parts was how Noah’s mum immediately embraced Carter after learning his own family had rejected him for his sexuality — it added such heart to the story. Even with the twelve‑year age gap, which is never mentioned in the text, their connection feels natural as emotions and feelings build alongside the family dynamic. Overall, it’s a gentle, cosy holiday romance that blends sweetness, support, and a touch of Christmas magic. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Glitched Fates & Stolen Mates by T.J. Rose 4 of 5 stars

Glitched Fates & Stolen Mates

Glitched Fates & Stolen Mates by T.J. Rose
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A darkly funny romance where Felix thinks he’s being stalked—but it’s actually Kit, his lovestruck colleague who’s been secretly watching him for years. To cover it up, Kit offers self-defence lessons, bringing them closer while his guilt grows. Meanwhile, real dangers from their past emerge, turning their messy situation into something more serious—before it all leads to a happy ending.

This was such an emotionally rich and slightly chaotic romance, and I loved every minute of it. Both Felix and Kit are wonderfully, painfully socially awkward—Kit in particular is an absolute disaster, and watching him try (and fail) to cope with his feelings while secretly pining was equal parts hilarious and heartbreaking. What really stood out was how genuinely horrified he was when he realised he’d actually frightened his mate Felix which added a strong emotional depth to all the humour. I also really enjoyed how the whole Killigrew Street team ended up getting involved at times, especially because Kit hadn’t told anyone that Felix was his mate. That added an extra layer of tension, awkwardness, and found-family warmth to the story. The plot itself kept things moving, with the Grey organisation abducting shifters to control, which tied directly into Kit being taken. Felix stepping up and fighting to find and rescue him was incredibly satisfying and showed just how much he’d grown. Overall, the story is packed with feelings—awkwardness, guilt, fear, love—and they all come through so clearly. It’s easy to get completely swept up in their emotions, making this a really engaging and heartfelt read with a well-earned HEA. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Always Enough by R.J. Scott 4 of 5 stars

Always Enough

Always Enough by R.J. Scott
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Morgan arrives at Guardian Hall overwhelmed by trauma and terrified of failing his newborn daughter, Gabbi. As he learns to care for her and slowly heal, Cole — a wealthy, protective man who’s used to keeping his distance — finds himself drawn into their lives. A gentle connection grows between them as Morgan realises he’s seen and valued, not broken. It’s a tender hurt/comfort, single‑dad romance about safety, found family, and discovering you’re already enough.

I absolutely loved this story. Morgan’s arrival at Guardian Hall — traumatised, exhausted, and clinging to his newborn daughter Gabbi — was written with such raw vulnerability that it was impossible not to feel every moment with him. Guardian Hall truly became a lifeline, giving him the safety, tools, and confidence he needed to start rebuilding his life and his sense of self. Cole’s involvement made the story even richer. The way he slowly wove himself into Morgan and Gabbi’s world felt natural and deeply heartfelt, and watching their relationship develop was incredibly rewarding. The emotional depth throughout — both from their pasts and their present‑day healing — was beautifully handled. A tender, emotional, and wonderfully hopeful read. This was an MM story with mature content.

Bear with Me

Bear with Me by Edie Monte
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Blake’s holiday goes from bad to worse when the man who hogged half his seat on the plane ends up double‑booked into the same cabin he rented. After a night of sulking — and waking up curled against the surprisingly warm stranger — Blake learns Ollie is avoiding his own family’s pressure to settle down. As they share the small cabin, irritation turns into sympathy and then attraction, especially once Blake discovers Ollie is a bear shifter. With only one bed and growing feelings, Blake starts to think this Christmas might not be so terrible after all.

I struggled with this one. Blake’s obnoxious behaviour at the start made it hard for me to connect with him, and unfortunately I never warmed up to him as the story went on. Both characters felt a bit flat to me, and because of that I couldn’t fully sink into the romance or the emotional beats the novella was aiming for. Overall, it was an easy read, but not one I found myself enjoying. This was an MM story with mature content and set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Always Hope

Always Hope by R.J. Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Corporal Tyler Mason arrives at Guardian Hall, drowning in guilt after surviving the mission that killed his entire team. Cut off from his family and desperate to disappear, he finds unexpected compassion from the people there—especially Dr Marcus Stirling, a co‑founder battling his own past and hard‑won sobriety. A fragile connection between them slowly deepens into something neither expected, but love becomes a risk as guilt, grief, and old ghosts resurface. This is a story about a broken soldier, a recovering addict, and the healing bond that might save them both.

This story was overflowing with emotion, and I felt every step of both men’s journeys—one fighting to recover, the other fighting to stay steady in his own hard‑won sobriety. What I loved most was how human the book made them. Their pain, their setbacks, and their slow, fragile progress were never diminished or glossed over. Instead, their lives and struggles were treated with real weight and compassion. The book also shines a light on how poorly we often treat our veterans, and Tyler’s experience reflects that heartbreakingly well. In contrast, Guardian Hall felt like a sanctuary—full of care, hope, and understanding. A place where broken pieces weren’t judged, just gently gathered. A moving, heartfelt read that balances hurt, healing, and humanity beautifully. You might cry reading this story - I certainly did. This was an MM story with mature content.

Two enemies are forced into a fake‑dating mission in Scotland—Rory, a chaotic wolf shifter with a zombie ferret, and Theodore, the telepathic detective who once hurt him deeply. As they investigate missing shifters, old wounds clash with new attraction, and their bickering partnership starts to blur into something dangerously close to real feelings. Surviving the mission is one thing… surviving each other is another.

I really enjoyed this story and the way it leans into that razor‑thin line between love and hate. Rory and Theodore spend so much time misunderstanding each other that their trip to Scotland becomes exactly what they needed—space to finally talk, listen, and see past all the assumptions they’ve been clinging to. The plot is full of drama, danger, and chaotic energy, which kept things moving, even if their constant bickering did get a bit tedious after a while. Still, the emotional payoff made it worth it. The writing is easy to read and understand, and the slow shift from enemies to something much more was really satisfying to watch unfold. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Always You by R.J. Scott 5 of 5 stars

Always You

Always You by R.J. Scott
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A battle‑scarred veteran is forced into a Chicago shelter during a brutal winter—only to find Alex, the first love who broke his heart. Jazz is haunted by twenty years of war; Alex is burdened by the choice that tore them apart. Reunited in the last place either expected, they must confront old wounds and decide whether their once‑powerful connection is worth risking everything for again.

This book hit me right in the heart. It’s packed with powerful emotions from both men, and I felt every single moment right alongside them. Jazz’s journey—working through the ghosts of his service and finally facing the feelings he’d buried—was raw, painful, and beautifully written. I was rooting for him and Alex the whole way, hoping they’d find their way back to each other. What really stood out was how honestly the story reflects the way society often fails our veterans. Jazz’s struggles felt real, and Guardian Hall was such a moving contrast—a place built on care, hope, and genuine understanding. It felt like a sanctuary not just for the characters, but for the reader too. A deeply emotional, heartfelt second‑chance romance that stayed with me long after I finished. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Bite Marks & Broken Hearts by T.J. Rose 5 of 5 stars

Bite Marks & Broken Hearts

Bite Marks & Broken Hearts by T.J. Rose
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Flynn flees to London only to be marked by a dangerously attractive demon, leaving dark magic growing inside him. His unexpected protector is Sebastián, a centuries‑old vampire who runs the city’s supernatural underworld and tries — unsuccessfully — to stay detached. As Flynn hides in Sebastián’s hotel and the demon closes in, their reluctant bond deepens, even while Sebastián struggles to keep his true nature secret.

This was such a fun PNR romance, packed with emotion, humour, and just the right amount of supernatural chaos. Sebastián is the perfect touch‑starved, emotionally guarded vampire, and Flynn — all golden‑retriever warmth and determination — is exactly the kind of human who would stubbornly (and adorably) break down those walls. Their dynamic is irresistible, especially once the sizzling scenes and serious fang action come into play. I loved the found‑family vibe of Killigrew Street, the snarky wolves, and the way both men carry deep emotional histories that shape who they are in the present. The story balances heart, heat, and supernatural drama beautifully, giving me plenty of feelings along the way. A thoroughly enjoyable, emotional, and entertaining read. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: No Sleep Till Pride by Kota Quinn 3 of 5 stars

No Sleep Till Pride

No Sleep Till Pride by Kota Quinn
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Avery jumps at the chance to interview his fashion idol for Dee Rama Magazine, only to discover the designer and his rock‑star fiancé live in the tiny town of Foggy Basin. There he meets Gideon, a handsome former bodyguard turned beekeeper who’s returned home, tired of living in the shadows while everyone he’s protected finds love. With Foggy Basin preparing for its first Pride parade, Avery chasing his dreams, and Gideon ready to start living for himself, their unexpected meet‑cute sparks something sweet and promising.

This was such a sweet novella, centred around Avery and Gideon meeting during Foggy Basin’s very first Pride parade. Their connection is instant, warm, and full of promise, and it left me genuinely excited to see how their story will unfold in the next Season. The tone is light, the pacing smooth, and the whole thing is wonderfully easy to read and understand — a charming little prequel that sets the stage beautifully for what’s to come. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: His Dragon Duo by Anna Sparrows 4 of 5 stars

His Dragon Duo

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sage longs for a mate and a family of his own, even while secretly pining for his best friend Dexter — another omega who doesn’t want kids. When the older unicorn shaman Sergio gets pulled into their lives, unexpected magic forces all three to rethink Fate, their bond, and what a future together might look like.

Sage and Dexter have always shared an undeniable pull, and I loved how that connection only deepened once Sergio entered their lives. It takes the three of them a little while to realise that they’re not dealing with one mate bond but two, and once that truth settles, the story shifts into a wonderfully dramatic, almost soap‑opera‑like journey as they face challenge after challenge testing their new relationship. The plot is easy to follow, the emotions are clear, and the dynamic between the three men grows in a way that feels natural and satisfying. A warm, engaging read with plenty of heart. This was an MMM story with mature content that was set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Review: If I See You Again by Joelle Lynne 3 of 5 stars

If I See You Again

If I See You Again by Joelle Lynne
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Malcolm is used to being stood up and oversharing, so after another failed date he impulsively connects with the stranger at the next table. David, stuck on a disastrous business trip, takes a chance on the man he saw get stood up — only to discover Malcolm is the consultant he’s meeting the next morning. What starts as a spontaneous night quickly hints at something more.

The connection between Malcolm and David is undeniable — what starts as pure passion quickly deepens into something steadier as their relationship settles and feelings take root. I really enjoyed watching them navigate that shift from heat to genuine emotion. The jump from the original anthology story to this longer version didn’t always land for me. Some scenes felt a little stilted, as if the expansion stretched the rhythm more than the story naturally allowed. I also found David harder to relate to at times; his confidence occasionally tipped into being a bit too pushy. Still, their chemistry is strong, the emotional moments are lovely, and the journey from a chance encounter to something real makes this a satisfying, heartfelt read. This was an MM story with mature content.

*** Please note that this story originally appeared in the Queers and Quills Anthology: Closer. It has been expanded from it's original 8.5k to a full length novel. ***

Review: That Telling Moment by Marlowe Kent 5 of 5 stars

That Telling Moment

That Telling Moment by Marlowe Kent
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Stephen is determined to succeed in corporate law on his own merits, far from the shadow of his identical twin, a famous OnlyFans omega. But his new job brings humiliation, a CEO who won’t stop staring, and an unexpected connection with David Ryland — a brilliant, socially awkward alpha he finds stimming in a server room after a workplace mishap. Their quiet moments together grow into something neither planned, even as Stephen battles a hostile office and Ryland obsessively researches how to comfort an omega without overstepping. With a chaotic twin, a sharp‑tongued omega lawyer, and a neurodivergent alpha whose flirting sounds like lab notes, the tension between them is impossible to ignore.

The connection between Stephen and Ryland is the heart of this story — two men who meet in the unlikeliest way and end up helping each other grow in ways neither expected. I loved how they offered support and practical suggestions to one another, each filling gaps the other didn’t always realise he had. The emotional moments were beautifully written, and Ryland’s wonderfully inept but earnest attempts to learn — complete with research, statistics, and awkward logic — made him incredibly endearing. I also appreciated the storyline involving Stephen’s twin, and how he finally recognised the unhealthy situation he was in and took steps to change it. It added another layer of hope and healing to the book. A heartfelt, tender story that gave me both smiles and tears. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse.

Review: Ridge's Lost Keys by Della Cain by Kaytea Kat 3 of 5 stars

Ridge's Lost Keys (Found by Daddy Book 18)

Ridge's Lost Keys by Della Cain by Kaytea Kat
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Ridge locks himself out of the flat while wearing dinosaur pyjamas, his keys lost down the trash chute. Mortified, he’s rescued by Memphis, the handsome neighbour who takes him in, calls for help, and treats him with unexpected gentleness — leaving Ridge wondering if this embarrassing mishap might actually be the start of something lucky.

I enjoyed this sweet, low‑angst story, especially the gentle connection that grows between Ridge and Memphis. Their relationship has an easy charm, and I liked how they worked together to find practical compromises for living together — it made their dynamic feel grounded and supportive. That said, I would have loved a bit more emotional depth. The story is warm and pleasant, but it doesn’t dive as deeply into feelings as I hoped it would. Still, it’s an easy, enjoyable read with a cute pairing and a satisfying ending. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Kennard's Story by N.R. Walker 5 of 5 stars

Kennard's Story (Cronin's Key, #4)

Kennard's Story by N.R. Walker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Kennard and Stas are enjoying six quiet months together in a remote Russian cabin when Alec, Cronin, Eiji, and Jodis arrive with news of a supernatural disturbance in India. Their search leads the group through gates into strange, timeless dimensions where their vampire powers no longer work. Following a trail of snakes and ancient serpents, they uncover a threat very different from what they expected — and Kennard must confront his past to save their future.

There’s such a lovely sense of joy radiating from Kennard and Stas in this instalment — the quiet certainty of two people who have finally found the one place they truly belong: with each other. Their happiness makes a wonderful contrast to the chaos that follows when their friends arrive and the next world‑saving adventure begins. This time, the threat once again revolves around Alec’s power as the Key, but Kennard steps into a deeper role too, forced to reveal a long‑buried truth from his past that becomes essential to the solution. The story is packed with danger, drama, emotion, and those warm moments of connection that make this series so addictive. One of my favourite things throughout has been the author’s meticulous weaving of history, myth, and real locations into the narrative, and this book continues that tradition beautifully. It’s imaginative, heartfelt, and full of the rich detail that makes their world feel so alive. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: A Daddy for Him by Charity Parkerson 4 of 5 stars

A Daddy for Him

A Daddy for Him by Charity Parkerson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rhodes, a hardened security operative and Daddy without a Little, is still hurting after losing the boy he cared for. When Cairo shows up — vulnerable, desperate, and carrying a dangerous secret — Rhodes can’t turn him away. Cairo needs protection only someone like Rhodes can offer, and as danger closes in, the two form an unexpected bond neither of them saw coming.

The attraction between Rhodes and Cairo is immediate and compelling — a pull that grows stronger with every moment they share. Rhodes’ fierce protectiveness is one of the highlights of the story, especially as Cairo’s vulnerability and need for safety become clearer. I also loved the way Kylo stepped in to guide Cairo, helping him find confidence and strength in a world that had only ever hurt him. The book carries a lot of emotion, touching on themes of past trafficking, abuse, and the long shadows they cast, but it balances that darkness with tenderness, care, and the slow rebuilding of trust. And in the end, seeing Rhodes and Cairo find their happiness together made the journey worth it. A heartfelt, emotional read with danger, healing, and a well‑earned happy ending. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like Daddy/boy dynamic.

Review: Cronin's Key III by N.R. Walker 5 of 5 stars

Cronin's Key III

Cronin's Key III by N.R. Walker
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A year after becoming a vampire, Alec is still adjusting to his powers when strange half‑lycan, half‑dragon beings leave him suddenly powerless. These Zoan — creatures long mistaken for gargoyles — pull Alec, Cronin, and their friends into a quest across Paris, Rome, and Moscow. There, Alec uncovers the truth about gargoyles and the real purpose of the Key, realising he’ll need every ability he has — and maybe help from the dead — to survive the coming fight.

Alec and Cronin’s connection shines through every page — steady, certain, and impossible to ignore — even when the rare quiet moments between them are quickly swallowed by the chaos of a new threat. I loved how the story wove together danger, history, mythology, and even astronomy, taking them from one fascinating location to another. Alec’s comment about feeling like he’d stepped into a Dan Brown plot was absolutely perfect. There’s plenty of drama and mystery as they race to understand the Zoan, and the emotional weight around Jorge added a real ache to the journey. Despite all the action, the story remained easy to read, feel, and follow. A gripping, imaginative instalment with heart, humour, and high stakes. This was an MM story with mature content.
