Acting as Dalton’s temporary alpha brings them closer, blurring the line between convenience and something real. With outside tensions rising and Dalton fighting old habits, both men must decide if they can build the family Dalton has always longed for.
Dalton and Larken’s deep friendship and simmering attraction were the heart of this story, long before they ever considered forming a bond or becoming true mates. I could really feel Dalton’s desperation to have a child and how that longing shaped his choices and strained his relationships, making his journey especially emotional. As always, the mix of danger and drama surrounding the local avian shifters added tension in the background, keeping the stakes high while the relationship slowly shifted into something real. A heartfelt, engaging read with strong emotions and a bond that felt inevitable from the start. This was an MM story with mature content and set in the omegaverse with MPREG.
