Review: Moonlit Nights & Northern Lights by T.J. Rose 4 of 5 stars

Moonlit Nights & Northern Lights

Moonlit Nights & Northern Lights by T.J. Rose
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Two enemies are forced into a fake‑dating mission in Scotland—Rory, a chaotic wolf shifter with a zombie ferret, and Theodore, the telepathic detective who once hurt him deeply. As they investigate missing shifters, old wounds clash with new attraction, and their bickering partnership starts to blur into something dangerously close to real feelings. Surviving the mission is one thing… surviving each other is another.

I really enjoyed this story and the way it leans into that razor‑thin line between love and hate. Rory and Theodore spend so much time misunderstanding each other that their trip to Scotland becomes exactly what they needed—space to finally talk, listen, and see past all the assumptions they’ve been clinging to. The plot is full of drama, danger, and chaotic energy, which kept things moving, even if their constant bickering did get a bit tedious after a while. Still, the emotional payoff made it worth it. The writing is easy to read and understand, and the slow shift from enemies to something much more was really satisfying to watch unfold. This was an MM story with mature content.
