Review: Openly Yours by Colette Davison 4 of 5 stars

Openly Yours

Openly Yours by Colette Davison
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

When pop star and monkey shifter Jesse and his bodyguard tiger shifter Issac fell in love it was easy, but now the tour is over, he has a new record label and they need to start working through those lists of the things they want to do together. But trying to start a family they have to deal with tragedy which could either bring them closer together or drive them apart.

I loved this continuation of book one in the series where we got to know both men and their relationship in more detail. The infertility story was a major part of this and it was heartbreaking to read of their crushing disappointments. family, support from family and finding alternative sources of family and joy were central. An emotional read that will make you sad at times but also fill you with joy. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse.

Review: The Billionaire's Nemesis by Silvia Violet 5 of 5 stars

The Billionaire's Nemesis (Bad Boy Billionaires #3)

The Billionaire's Nemesis by Silvia Violet
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Carter ignored his inheritance or working for his family and joined the Navy and became a SEAL. When serving he met Matteo and was transfixed. Their relationship endangered everything they had worked for until he joined our enemies and betrayed Carter. A year later Matteo is Carter's prisoner and although he wants to destroy him Matteo has secrets, ones that involve Carter's family, ones that make him question everything he thought he knew. Nothing is as it seems. The only thing Carter knows for sure is that Matteo wants his body, his forgiveness, and his heart and he is considering giving him everything.

I enjoyed this story with the two men who loved each other with everything and had a violent level of passion. The problems with Carter's family were deep and highly personal and it was good to see Carter's friends getting involved to help and protect him. I enjoyed all of the descriptions of the environments, their thoughts and feelings which added the right level of detail. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Wilde Fire (Forever Wilde, #3)

Wilde Fire by Lucy Lennox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Seth Walker was Otto Wilde's first love and he always swore he would be his last until he suddenly cut things off between them and broke his heart. After a decade in the Navy, Otto has finally come home ready to move on with his life as Hobie’s newest firefighter then he sets his eyes on the new sheriff in town who is none other than Seth Walker. Turns out, he’s come home too. And hell if he doesn’t have a lot of explaining to do. Can Seth in Otto back? Just when things start heating up between them again, a serial arsonist strikes and suspicion falls close to home. Seth already lost Otto to a secret long ago but he’ll be damned if he lets another threaten to send their future up in smoke.

I enjoyed this story of the two men who loved each other, their physical separation and what happened to put them back together again. Their love was special and very passionate. The arsonist twist was interesting (especially when the identity was known). A lot of feelings and passion in this story. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Secretly Mine by Colette Davison 4 of 5 stars

Secretly Mine (Offbeat Shifters, #1)

Secretly Mine by Colette Davison
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Alpha tiger shifter Issac had given up a lucrative job at the stock exchange and was being paid as a bodyguard to musician Jesse Steele, to keep him safe and protect his image. Jessie is an omega monkey shifter who is beautiful inside and out and very down to earth. The proximity means that they fall in love with each other. Someone discovering their tryst becomes the least of our worries when it becomes clear Jesse has a stalker. Can Issac love Jesse and protect him, or will his emotions cloud his judgement and put him in danger?

I loved this story with the easy way that they could not help but love each other. The stalker's identity was a surprise and the ending was suitably dramatic. I loved the image of the tiger running through the trees with the monkey shifter riding on his back which was very cute. I loved Issac's family. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse.

Review: A Time to Heal by Megs Pritchard 4 of 5 stars

A Time to Heal (Morefield Village #4)

A Time to Heal by Megs Pritchard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Shifter Ray Black had seen hell while he’d served in the military and was now part of the security team for Morefield Village. A job he took seriously. It gave him a sense of normalcy his life lacked. What he hadn’t expected was a mate. A mate Ray wasn’t ready for and didn’t want. Human Smith had endured more than enough in his life at the hands of his sadistic brother and friends and was now able to live the quiet life he wanted thanks to two men who should have killed him but let him live instead. A mate was something that had never crossed his mind until he found out he had one. Both Ray and Smith were in no place for a mate, but it seemed fate had other ideas. Learning about each other, talking and spending time together helped them close the distance between them. When Morefield Village was infiltrated both men had to work together to help keep the residents safe. Would they succeed or had the enemy found their weakness?

I enjoyed this story with the two reluctant mates who were broken in their way and found a way to be together through clear communication with each other and utilising the available counselling. The lengths the bad guys were willing to go to were quite astounding. and yet there was still no conclusion to the whole plot. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Rudolph by Minerva Howe 3 of 5 stars

Rudolph (Mated at the North Pole #9)

Rudolph by Minerva Howe
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Jameson Rudolph is a flight trainer for Santa’s reindeer, and he’s tired of all the reindeer games the recruits are up to this year. So when he gets a notice that it’s time for a mandatory vacation, he wants to go somewhere cold that doesn’t have twinkly lights and perfectly manicured candy cane trees. Roe deer shifter Magnus loves his home in the Scottish Highlands, and he keeps it by renting out the antique cottage on his property as a vacation home to other shifters. When he delivers muffins to Jameson Rudolph Mags decides to see if James is interested in a little holiday fling. But when it turns to more, will they be able to handle it?

his was a sweet story with a grumpy Jameson and a sunny Magnus which all comes to be more meaningful as their relationship deepens. After the initial issues, they had a good relationship. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM relationship with mature content.

Safe at Last (Morefield Village #3)

Safe at Last by Megs Pritchard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Escaping the lab that had held him captive and arriving at Morefield Village, he would have the time and space he needed to figure it out. What he hadn’t considered was meeting his mate. When Rand helped the shifters who’d escaped the lab, the sweet scent of his mate startled him. As their relationship progressed, both Rand and Holden learned to trust each other. Then Holden collapsed. Could Ran figure out what had happened and save his mate, or would he be helpless and watch him slip away?

I enjoyed this story with the drama of the rescue and then the attack on those who had been rescued by a mole. I loved how Rand gave Holfen the space he needed as well as the physical touch he also needed as his recovery progressed. I loved their care of Holden's "daughter" who had also been detained. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.

Review: The Gentleman by Dianna Roman 4 of 5 stars

The Gentleman

The Gentleman by Dianna Roman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Twenty-five-year-old Cameron Fairway has a secret - he is gay but never dared to tell his family and never dared to do something about it. He needs to find a mentor before he can find Mr Right. Someone with manners. Someone discreet enough to be able to mix business with pleasure under the watchful eye of his father’s empire--a gentleman. Pete Carver is without a doubt that man. Pete doesn’t mix business with pleasure because there is no pleasure in business. When the boss’ youngest son approaches him with a proposition that rattles every one of his sensibilities, Pete is determined to get to the bottom of the ploy. Because that’s all it can be--why else would the ruthless John Fairway’s son proposition a straight man in his father’s company? The apple can’t fall far from the tree.

I enjoyed this story with Cam being so brave and then finding a future that was everything he could ever want with Pete who was not as straight as he thought. I loved Pete's family who were so down to earth and welcoming and the relationship between the two men and how they soon became so devoted to each other. Easy to read, feel and understand. Review: Free to Breathe by Megs Pritchard 4 of 5 stars

Free to Breathe (MoreField Village #2)

Free to Breathe by Megs Pritchard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Shifter Jim Malveaux had spent years tracking down the men who murdered his sister so settling down and finding his mate were not his priority. In Morefield Village, he’d found a home and a job, working as part of a security team protecting the residents. The last thing he expected was to walk into the grocery store and find his fated mate. Human Saxon Scott couldn’t keep his eyes off Jim from the moment he walked in, but then Jim floored him by telling him they were mates. Sex, he could do but mates, that was a hard no. When Jim crosses that line, Saxon throws him out, determined to never speak to him again. But danger threatens Morefield, throwing Jim and Saxon back together again. Can Saxon put his anger aside to help Jim protect Morefield and how will Jim react when he finds out about the silky secret Sax has been keeping?

I enjoyed this story with Sax being so angry throwing things and kicking Jim out (which was deserved) and Jim's efforts to get back into his good graces. There was the drama of the incursions from the bad guys as well as his sister's killers to add to everything that was going on. Lots of thoughts and feelings in this story. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Love at Frost Bite: Donny by Aria Grace 3 of 5 stars

Love at Frost Bite: Donny (Mated to His Reindeer)

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Alpha reindeer Donny is the top woodsmith in the village but as he has got older he has realised that he is lonely and it is time to put himself first. Omega Chad loves Christmas but with little other joy in his life is coming closer to accepting the fact that he'll always be alone. And those few months of happiness are all he has to hold on to. But when a tragic accident takes Chad's sister and leaves her baby in the custody of his birth father, Donny, everything changes for the two men. They are forced to take care of this baby but it's not a burden for either of them. Despite being conflicted about their reasons, they quickly fall into a happily ever after that neither one of them saw coming.

This story was sweet with the tragedy of losing their best friend/sister and then having a baby to bring up together They coped better than could have been anticipated. I loved their relationship and the easy way that they settled into a relationship but I did find it a little odd that Donny only worked out that they were mates but there was no "mate" from his reindeer. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse with mpreg.

Review: Waiting for You by Megs Pritchard 4 of 5 stars

Waiting for You (Morefield Village #1)

Waiting for You by Megs Pritchard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wolf shifter Deacon Morrison was struggling to protect the residents of Morefield Village from those who wanted to experiment on his kind. That was until human Costas, his mate, the one person meant for him came into his life. Costas Synolakis had been kidnapped and forced to harm shifters to keep his daughters safe and now he wanted nothing to do with them. There was one small problem and that was that he lived in Salutem, a town full of shifters and there was Deacon. When he notices irregularities at the doctor's surgery he works at, he turns to Deacon for help. Can the lives of those who depend on them be saved or would they be too late?

I loved this story with the torture Deacon was going through while Costas ignored him and then when things thawed between them they became a family. It was sad to see them make progress against their enemies and then they still struck within the village. Lots of feelings and emotions in this story. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.

Blitzen by Allie W. Scott
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Santa forces reindeer shifter Blitzen to take a vacation and so picks New Orleans because he likes the food from that area. Human Perry hates Christmas but sadly Blitzen has entered his spare room and loves it.

This was a sweet story of how Blitzen converted Perry and how these fated mates found each other and their relationship. It was an almost instalove story but I did feel that more detail could have been given about why Perry hated Christmas. Easy to read, feel and understand. Love at Frost Bite: Jingle (Mated to His Reindeer)

Love at Frost Bite: Jingle by Wendy Rathbone
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Alpha Jingle is the instructor at a magical version of a top gun flight school in the North Pole for reindeer shifters who can fly. His students are the best and brightest and all want jobs pulling one of dozens of the Santa Collective’s sleighs on Christmas Eve. December, who prefers to be called Ember, is an omega with a keen mind for math and a flight talent. But he’s one of the youngest students ever and is nervous and klutzy. His youthful enthusiasm could be his undoing. Soon the two realize something is happening between them that is more than teacher/student. Perhaps a bit of Arctic mysticism. Perhaps a little Christmas magic. Annoyance turns to attraction.

This was a sweet story of how two fated mates met each other at the flight school for reindeer who pulled Santa's sleigh. I loved the love and affection between the two and how protective Jingle was of Ember. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and mature content set in the omegaverse with mpreg.

Review: The Devil You Know by Megs Pritchard 4 of 5 stars

The Devil You Know (Salutem, #10)

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Shifter Indigo Dubois had a secret. One that he’d had for five long years - he had a mate and that mate was a demon. Five long years of hiding his mate, quick hooks-ups and promises of tomorrow that never materialised. Now Indy needed him, but would he come to Indy’s aid after everything Indy had put him through? Demon Balor loved Indigo. He’d always loved Indigo. He’d accepted the excuses time and time again but there came a point in your life when you had to say enough. Balor had reached that point but now everything had changed. Indigo had told those closest to him about Balor’s existence and that he was a demon. Now Indigo wanted Balor to work with them and protect those who lived in Salutem. But after five long years of waiting, could Balor trust his mate or was Indigo using him? Had the time finally come for Balor to walk away? Had Indigo lost his mate?

I enjoyed this story around the relationship between Indy and Balor and the unmasking of the traitor (with the subsequent confrontation). I did not, however, enjoy the ending as I felt there was a cliffhanger and I have no idea how to find out what happens next. I loved Balor and that he did his best to make Indy squirm. I adore the Dubois family members and their reaction to the news of Indy's secret mate. Easy to read and feel This was an MM story with mature content.

Color of My Love (Salutem, #9)

Color of My Love by Megs Pritchard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Vampire Adan had decided to move to Salutem for a new start but more changed than he expected when he also found his mate. Shifter Jesse wanted a mate. He dreamed of having one and when that scent hit him while he was working, he knew those days of dreaming were over. Jesse was happy until he discovered that the people hurting their kind were closer than he thought and now he and Adan were involved. Could they all come together to help those captured, and would their plan lead to the discovery of a spy in their midst?

I enjoyed this story as another set of mates came together and the plot to hurt shifters became more real for them all. I enjoyed the drama as a device was found repeatedly and the traitor (one of them) became more apparent and was someone you didn't expect. I loved the relationship between the two men too. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: His Obsession by Charity Parkerson 5 of 5 stars

His Obsession (Damaged Devils #10)

His Obsession by Charity Parkerson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Finn and Cormac have secretly loved each other for years as they worked side by side, but that will soon change. Everything about Cormac, from his long blond hair to his contagious smile, has Finn wrapped up in knots. Cormac is his best friend. His biggest obsession. He’s scared to cross the line, ruining their friendship. Some of Cormac is better than nothing at all. Until one night changes everything. Making Finn smile is why Cormac gets up in the morning. Since he joined the McKinley family, Finn has been it for him. He’s the one. But Cormac isn’t the laughing guy he shows the world, and he can’t let Finn see that. He loves Finn too much to let him too close. That is until life leaves him no other choice.

I loved this story with the two men who were obsessed with each other but scared to move their love forward. I felt for Cormac and how his past had affected him so much but if anyone could cope with it that would be Finn. There were a lot of big feelings and emotions in this story and I felt all of them. If anyone deserved a happily ever after it was these men who were obsessed with each other. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Wild at Heart by Megs Pritchard 4 of 5 stars

Wild at Heart (Salutem #8)

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Shifter Teal Dubois loved life, but something was missing - his mate. One day while in Sam’s Café, he caught a scent, and he knew his wait was finally over. Tyler loved to write. A successful author who wrote about men in love had to write from his imagination. He’d never had a partner because Tyler was deaf and men usually ran from him when they discovered it but he didn’t let that hold him back and he knew one day he would find that special person. When it became apparent Teal was staying and that he was Tyler’s mate, Tyler couldn’t be happier. The day they mated, and he heard Teal, Tyler’s life changed in ways he could never have dreamed. Until he was targeted. Could he reach out to Teal to save him, and would Teal reach him in time?

I loved this story with the twist that Tyler was deaf and his reaction when he heard Teal through their mate bond telepathy. Tyler's reaction when he realised he was being attacked was brilliant as it was great to see that he might be deaf but he wasn't defenceless. Lots of emotions in this story as Tyler is introduced to the Dubois family and the world around them. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Under My Skin (Salutem, #7)

Under My Skin by Megs Pritchard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Vampire Dylan Raincroft visited Salutem to catch up with friends and have fun but it reminded him of his lack of a mate. Shifter Hudson Jones enjoyed life in Salutem. The community welcomed everyone, including him, when he’d moved there several years ago. The only thing missing in his life was someone to share it with, his mate. Then one day that changed when a vampire called Dylan appeared and rocked Hudson’s world. Rogue vampires had killed Hudson’s parents and now fate was playing a cruel trick on him by deciding his mate would be a vampire. Did Dylan stand a chance at convincing his mate to accept him, or would Hudson turn his back on him and refuse to accept what fate has in store for them?

I enjoyed this story with the jeopardy of Hudson discovering that a vampire was his mate and that he needed to move on from his parents' murder to be happy - thankfully he had Alek's experience to tell him what he needed to do. I also enjoyed the way that Dylan was determined to help with the town and the situation with the abductions. There were lots of feelings and emotions in this story. Donner (Mated at the North Pole #7)

Donner by Edie Monte
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Omega Donner heads logistics for Santa's trek across the world, but he can't figure out his work/life balance. When Santa demands he take a mandatory vacation, he throws clothes in a suitcase and picks his beach destination. Magical intervention gives Donner the outfits he needs to tackle the nightlife head-on. Alpha eagle shifter Beau is a bouncer at a rooftop club. When he sees a hot omega hurt in an accident his workplace should have prevented, he makes it his goal to protect Donner at all costs. When he and the club disagree on how to handle the incident, Beau quits his job. Now, he has all the time in the world to spend with Donner and ensure he has the best vacation ever!

This story was sweet as another pair of fated mates met thanks to a Santa-enforced vacation. I loved the magical switch to the contents of his suitcase. Their relationship was good and I liked that they communicated their thoughts and feelings with each other. I loved that Donner was cared for and loved in a way that was missing before. Safe in Your Arms (Salutem #6)

Safe in Your Arms by Megs Pritchard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Shifter Robin escaped the laboratory he was in and fled to Salutem to find his college friend Marco. He stays with him as he recovers from the horrors of his capture, torture, and experimentation. The last person he expects to meet is his mate. Shifter and cafe owner Sam. Sam had hoped and dreamed he would one day meet that one person fate had decided was perfect for him and when that day arrived, he had to stop and wait. Robin had been hurt - damaged even - and Sam needed to give his mate the love and support he needed to recover from his trauma. But Robin carried a secret, one even he wasn’t aware of. Would it tear apart their fragile mating, or make their connection, their bond stronger for it? And, who else would be affected when the truth comes out?

This was suitably dramatic as they made some good progress on the mystery while also at the same time discovering one of the traitors and the extent of their knowledge of the town's inhabitants. Thankfully the relationship between Sam and Robin deepened and the core team realised the extent of the changes they would have to make. Easy to read, feel and understand. The Flirty Vet (Vet Shop Boys Down Under, #1)

The Flirty Vet by Casey Cox

Col Langdon is in Australia to do exactly three things: work, check out some touristy hotspots, and scatter his mother's ashes. Aussie veterinarian Wilby Linfox is a flirt and from the moment he stumbles into Col's life drunk, singing, and shirtless he knows he'd be trouble. But Col's work puts him on a direct collision course with Wilby and when he finds it out his feelings for Col explode into a volcanic rage determined to give him the biggest fight of his life.

There were parts of this story that I enjoyed and parts I found a little boring around the reason Col was there for work. However, central to the story was a deep love between the two men who with a few bumps found their HEA. Lots of emotions in this story but also a lot of joy and happiness. This was an MM story with mature content.

Ishmael Patel had almost fallen apart with the loss of Vir, thinking he’d been left behind, unloved and unwanted. When Vir arrives unannounced, all his hopes and fears rush to the surface. Could Vir love him the way he was now, or would he walk away?

I loved this story of the loving way that Vir changed his home so that Ish could come home and live with him and the way that everyone else then made the areas of their responsibilities wheelchair accessible too. Love At Frost Bite: Benji by Toby Wise
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Alpha Benji prefers a quiet life and even though he is a reindeer shifter hates Christmas and the only thing softening his grumpy exterior is a certain omega otter shifter who seems determined to slip his way into Benji’s life. Single Dad and otter shifter Mason works at the food court at the mall and has a crust on Benji which grows as they start eating lunch together Benji gently takes care of him in a way that Mason’s been looking for but never thought he could have. Both men try to keep their feelings in check but after taking care of Mason while he’s sick, and going Christmas shopping together, they realize they don’t have to hold themselves back.

This was a sweet story as Benji cared for Mason who did his best to convert him to an enjoyment of Christmas. I loved Mason's son who loved his Dad and he got on so well with Benji too. Fate's Way (Salutem, #4)

Fate's Way by Megs Pritchard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Shifter Alekzander Krawowski hated humans because his friend was killed by one so when he was in Sam's coffee shop and ran into his mate who was human he was angry at fate and wanted nothing to do with him. Rhys Monahan had been living in Salutem after his sister mated a shifter and they’d moved there. Rhys got the surprise of his life when he was knocked to the ground and stared up at the gorgeous shifter. He felt the pull, the connection and knew what it meant. What Rhys couldn’t understand was why Alek hated him so much. Could Alek move on from his past and embrace his future?

This was a very dramatic story as stubborn Alek went too far and almost lost Rhys who felt he had to carry on with life apart in another town. Jackson: A Daddy's Boy/ Hitman Novel

Jackson: A Daddy's Boy/ Hitman Novel by Athena Steller
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Hitman Jackson leaves before anyone can leave him and so prepares to run from Fin and Michael. Can they stop him? Michael started working for Finn to take care of himself and his younger brothers. He wanted Finn from the start as he is the perfect Daddy (even if he says he is not). It takes Jackson giving Michael the confidence to seduce Finn for all the pieces click into place. Michael loves two men. One who keeps running away and one who hadn’t wanted to be a Daddy in the first place. What’s a little to do when everything starts falling apart? Trust. Trusting his partners might be the hardest thing that Michael ever has to do. It also could result in his own happily ever after. Finn is supposed to be the Daddy, the Dom, and the one with all the answers. Finding himself in love with two boys was never the plan. One of his boys is a runner and one needs him to be the Daddy that Finn doesn’t know if he can be. His boys need him, and Finn will do everything in his power to prove that they can trust and depend on him. Oh, and there is just that little issue of having a stalker. Sure, Finn is in charge. Or maybe he is just along for the ride.

Wow, this story had lots of drama and tension as Finn and Michael did everything that they could to stop Jackso from running. Michael was an adorable little who had a naughty streak and Finn was a master tactician and would do what was necessary to make Jackson understand. The stalker was a nice twist. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MMM story with mature content and BDSM DDLB and D/s dynamics.

Joyful (Leather & Chrome, #2.5)

Joyful by Kiki Clark
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rooster’s known he was a caretaker his whole life, but finding a boy who needed the same things he wanted to give had been difficult until sweet Emmett Moore fell back into his life. Even though he’d practically grown up in the Moore house as Emmett’s brother’s best friend, it was like Rooster had never actually known the quiet young man. But anyone who shows up at a motorcycle club’s clubhouse to decorate Christmas cookies in a Snoopy sweater and superhero apron was someone he wanted to get to know better. Especially when he realizes the one thing he’s always wanted in a relationship might be the one thing Emmett has never been able to share with someone. Was it too much to hope for a Christmas miracle?

I loved this story where Emmett met an old friend and found his perfect Daddy. Rooster was a warrior protecting his boy and against his family which was needed. I also loved the way that he was accepted and adopted by the club. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Love at Frost Bite: Nick by Lorelei M. Hart by Colbie Dunbar
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Alpha reindeer shifter Nick has one last delivery before he can head home to see his family for the holidays. Then a snowstorm hits and the highway I closed and he heads to a local B&B only to get stuck at the side of the road to be found by human omega Beckett who invites him to stay with him until a tow truck arrives. Little does he suspect the man is going to make all of his Christmas wishes come true, even those he doesn’t know he has.

This was a sweet story as a reindeer shifter found his mate thanks to a blizzard and fate. I loved their meals using whatever was in the cupboard or fridge which could be inventive. Their relationship was easy and a great foundation for the future. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse with mpreg.

Review: A Cold Winter's Night by Megs Pritchard 4 of 5 stars

A Cold Winter's Night (Salutem, #3)

A Cold Winter's Night by Megs Pritchard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Marco Gomez had gone camping with friends for the weekend when a bear came into their campsite and Clarke Sterling saved them. There were signs that they shouldn't be camping there then Clarke caught the scent of his mate. Staring into the eyes of his saviour Marco felt an undeniable attraction, one he was more than happy to explore until Clarke told him exactly who Marco was to him. Marco knew about shifters and mates and wanted nothing to do with it. He had his future planned and it didn’t involve a mate. But the separation haunted him. A long-distance relationship developed until the scientist found Marco. Reacting in fear and anger Marco ended their relationship leaving Clarke shattered at losing his mate. Could they bridge the gap between them and could Clarke keep his mate safe now the scientists knew about him?

I loved this story with the two storylines of Marco accepting Clarke as his mate and the scientists pursuing shifters and their mates. Both sides were dramatic and important in their way. Both men were stubborn in their way which was sometimes useful but at other times unhelpful. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.

Review: Yearning by Kiki Clark 4 of 5 stars

Yearning (Leather & Chrome #3)

Yearning by Kiki Clark
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Houston has a secret. One he hasn’t even shared with his motorcycle club. It involves rope and dominance and pretty little subs kneeling at his feet. But the night Kenneth dropped into his life everything changed. Entranced, he watched the sweet nurse stitch up one of his brothers—and then slip away. Houston has an idea of what the boy needs. And he thinks he’s just the Dom to give it to him.

I enjoyed this story of how Houston gave Kenneth exactly what he needed which in turn gave him what he needed too. They were perfect together and their kinks aligned very well. I loved that their relationship was great outside of their shared kinks. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.

Review: Cupid by Aria Grace 3 of 5 stars

Cupid (Mated at the North Pole #6)

Cupid by Aria Grace
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Alpha Reindeer shifter Arrow Cupid was forced by Santa to take a mandatory vacation. Human omega Jake inherited an oceanfront beach house and just received a bill for property taxes which are due and he isn't sure how to make the payment When his cousin suggests renting the place to tourists as a short-term rental, he agrees to give it a shot. He has no idea that his first and only renter will end up piercing his heart in a way he never expected.

This was a sweet story as Arrow met his fated mate Jake and they had the promise of a happy future together. I enjoyed the description that showed that Arrow's reindeer was larger than a normal one. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse with mpreg.

Review: Designation: Null by Jamie Kassel 4 of 5 stars

Designation: Null (The Designation Series #2)

Designation: Null by Jamie Kassel
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Private Logan Burrows is a null, an anomaly in a world where modified soldiers are either Dominant or submissive. As long as his life is organized and he keeps the anger he feels toward Dominants close and burning bright in his chest, then he manages just fine. No one would suspect that he occasionally struggles with any pesky submissive quirks. Then he's sent on a mission to rescue Sergeant Robert Hanson, a kidnapped Dominant who isn't like the others. First of all, he isn't a jerk. Plus, he's nice, kind and gorgeous. Being around Robert makes Logan want to submit. Not that he knows how. He'd be terrible at it.

I enjoyed this story and the intrigue and politics around why Logan was the way he was and the dynamics within his family. The effect that Robert had on Logan was interesting as were the techniques he used to help Logan submit. At the centre, there was a loving relationship between the two men. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content set in an omegaverse with D/s.

The Best Mistake (Salutem #2)

The Best Mistake by Megs Pritchard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Scientist Darrell Ford should have turned right when he turned left and on top of that mistake, his car decided it was time to pack up and die. He was about to move and start a new life with a new job and apartment so the timing was not great. When a kind stranger picks him up, Darrell’s life is about to change in a way he never saw coming. As soon as shifter Jake Crocker saw Darrell he knew he was his mate and as they were attracted to each other they were soon in bed together. Then when Jake reveals the truth about himself Darrell runs from him straight into his enemy’s hands. Can Jake and his friends save Darrell, and if they do, will Darrell ever be able to accept who and what Jake is?

I enjoyed this story with the meeting, the unfortunate timing of mating and their argument. Darell's abduction and rescue were dramatic and I loved the way that Darrell cared for young shifter Ted too. The female shifter who helped Darrell was nice and it was a shame we didn't find out more about her. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Temptation (Leather & Chrome #2)

Temptation by Kiki Clark
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Six is a hard man and one of the club enforcers. He is tired of hookups and wants to caress and discipline a boy of his own. But the night he meets Ollie he will do whatever it takes to have him. Nothing goes to plan and the boy ends up under his protection. Untouchable but tempting. Ollie was gorgeous in his tight jeans but breathtaking in his skirts. Six has to have him. He may never be good enough for a boy as dazzlingly perfect as Ollie, but he’ll never let him go. He’s the only one who can give him exactly what he needs - a home.

I enjoyed this story which contained lots of passion and love between the two men as they met and then met again at an unfortunate incident featuring his friend Penny. Outside of the sex, I did enjoy their relationship and the clear lines of communication. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

What He Needs (Salutem #1)

What He Needs by Megs Pritchard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Alex was one of the humans rescued from a blood farm run by vampires and is recovering in the shifter town of Salutem although he is not sure he ever will. Shifter Cyan Dubois loves living there although he wishes he had a mate to share it with. Cyan meets Alex he realises that at last he’s found his mate but will need to take it slow as Alex has suffered enough. When Alex turns away from Cyan, too afraid to be the mate Cyan knows he can be, Cyan is devastated. Can he wait for Alex to move past his fear or was their relationship doomed before it even began?

I loved the drama of this story and the sensitivity that Cyan treated Alex with. They had a good relationship before mating which was a good foundation for the future. The developments around the labs and their ability to save other shifters were interesting. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.

Comet by Abigail Kade
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Comet was told by Santa that he had to take a vacation so he went hiking on the Appalachian Trail where he was knocked over by a near-sighted barn owl shifter called Alden. Now in the cabin rented by Alden while he writes his next novel, he keeps apologising.

This was a sweet story of how Comet met his mate and they started a family together. I loved seeing just how magical and powerful Santa is. Mine to Hold

Mine to Hold by Megs Pritchard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Human Euan McLeod had served his time in the military and was now part of the team at Rescue Inc. Now he was part of a team working towards rescuing the blood slaves and bringing down the Vampire Council. It was one night on a stakeout, as he watched a location they believed to be holding humans as slaves, that he met the vampire who would change his future - his mate.

Wow, we made it to the end of the series and the dramatic conclusion as the plot for vampires to take over and make humans mere blood slaves was stopped. I loved Euan and his mate Logan who were a great fit. The identity of the new vampire king was inspired. I am sad that this series is over but glad we meet them again in a new series sometimes. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story containing mature content.

Review: Deep in the Sheets by Blake R. Wolfe 3 of 5 stars

Deep in the Sheets (Cherry Estates Billionaire Daddies #2)

Deep in the Sheets by Blake R. Wolfe
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Jax was lucky and got an internship at the biggest accounting firm in Boston and is now the personal assistant to Timothy Hark, billionaire, CEO, and one of the most handsome men. He is a jerk, has a girlfriend and Jax can't stop gawking at him and fantasising that he is his Daddy. Then at the office Christmas party, their strictly professional relationship takes a turn when he drags Jax into an empty conference room by his collar to kiss him and call him his Boy. They can't keep their hands off each other. Then, Tim’s ex-girlfriend walks through the door, saying she wants to marry him. Jax could lose him forever if he says yes but if he tells anyone about their forbidden romance, he can kiss his degree, job and new Daddy goodbye.

It was a strange story as it started with a bullying and abuse of power relationship but then ended with gentleness and love. I get that Tim was emotionally stunted but it was a bit of a quick change for someone who was so aggressive. Jax was missing some character development as for most of the story he was just a sex toy. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Mine to Save (Rescue Inc #9)

Mine to Save by Megs Pritchard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Jensen was on a mission to destroy food supplies when one of the enemy vampires saved him and said mate before he lost consciousness. How could the one meant for him also be working with the very people who wanted to destroy him? To deal with this, he had to put his personal feelings aside, hand over his mate and let his colleagues interrogate him. Brayden had known the instant he’d set eyes on the intruder that the man was his mate. When he saw the beam fall towards him, he reacted instantly, without thought of the consequences. Now, he was a captive, with people who were willing to do anything to get the information they wanted. When his mate, intervenes, Brayden realises that he has a chance to change his future, with his mate at his side, but is he prepared to take a chance on the unknown and risk those he cares about? Will Jensen be able to trust him, or will his past be too much to overcome?

This was a dramatic story with the mates, plans and further action to save the slaves. I was so glad that Brayden decided to trust than and gave the crucial information to help them. There were some discussions of feelings but not enough as I felt that Jensen tested Brayden far quicker than he would normally do. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Walker by Dale Mayer 4 of 5 stars

Walker

Walker by Dale Mayer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Walker had precog abilities but that didn't guarantee that he had answers. At the moment he knew that there was trouble in Finland and that it involved someone associated with Levi. A quick phone call to Terk confirms Walker’s suspicions. And he’s already on the move. Healer Ashley's life should have eased when she moved to Finland but that same wariness creeping back into her life made her feel hunted once again. A strong healer, she helped those who showed up on her doorstep, telling them that she believed the healing energy brought them to her. However, she’d long ago learned that not everyone who showed up at her house wanted the best for her and so when Walker shows up, she’s not sure what to believe, but it’s quickly all too clear that her life is in danger. Should she trust Walker? No, but she has to make a choice, and the wrong one could kill her.

This was a dramatic story where they had no idea exactly where the danger was coming from until the final confrontation when it all became clear. I liked that Walker and Ashley had a connection between them already and that helped when he was able to sense things happening to her. I did like the way Ashley came up with reasons to stay hidden and Walker came up with reasons to come out and go to Terk's castle. Easy to read, feel and understand.

Falling in love is not on their agenda, but love strikes when least expected. Can Coco and Vixen make things work in their personal lives while helping Santa have a low-stress, smooth delivery run on Christmas Eve?

Mine to Love

Mine to Love by Megs Pritchard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

While on a rescue mission to free Carter's family Dean was captivated by vampire Wyatt who was also a prisoner. Finding out he was his mate he knew he needed to give him time to recover. Wyatt could never forget the day he was rescued as fate gave him his mate but he had not begun to live his life and wasn’t ready to be in a lifelong commitment, even if it was the one destined to complete him. Was he too scared to believe in the possibilities of a life with his mate? When the vampires kidnap, Wyatt and Carter, Dean faces a race against time to save his mate. Will he reach him in time, or will Wyatt face a painful death?

I enjoyed this story with the human rescuing the vampire and yet another mating. The hesitancy and the sensitivity between them were touching and the irony of Wyatt being taken again was unfortunate. I liked their communication and that they talked to each other about thoughts and feelings. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Felix and the Prince by Lucy Lennox 4 of 5 star

Felix and the Prince (Forever Wilde, #2)

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Felix goes to Gadleigh Castle to study rare stained glass for his dissertation. It is also an escape from the paparazzi swarming around his starlet mother’s latest blockbuster release. While there he found a hidden door leading to a secret room containing the most gorgeous man he ever set eyes on and he fell in love. Lio knew he would soon become the King of Liorland and be expected to marry a nice woman as his queen and produce heirs. However, he is gay and in love with Felix Wilde who has no idea Lio is royal.

I loved this story which was like reading a fairytale. I loved the passion between the two men and how expectations and real-life complicated something which should have been simple. The paparazzi side of things had parallels to celebrities today. Felix's soul was so pure considering the way his mother treated him so I was happy for him. This was a very emotional story so expect some tears along the way. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.

Mine for Eternity (Rescue Inc. #7)

Mine for Eternity by Megs Pritchard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Hunter thought his inside man was expendable to exploit to the fullest and dispose of. Then he met Cater and everything changed as he was his mate. For years, Carter had been forced to work for the vampires, a species he truly despised. He had no choice. If he wanted his parents to live he had to do what they wanted, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t try to bring them down from the inside. When he finally agrees to meet the man attempting to hack into his security systems, he’s stunned that he turned out to be the vampire’s mate. Deciding to mate, Carter leaves and Hunter lets him, but will they meet again, or will the vampires find out and make Carter pay the ultimate price?

I enjoyed this story with the fated mates angle together with the danger from the vampires to them both especially Carter. I was impressed that Carter was able to help Spencer too. The final rescue was suitably dramatic which I enjoyed. Not so much on feelings but many emotions. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.

Please Be Mine (Rescue Inc. #6)

Please Be Mine by Megs Pritchard
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Targon ‘Tank’ Evans would never forget the day Chester was shot as he met vampire Niles in a hospital corridor. Their friendship fizzled out, but another chance encounter at his local hospital brought Niles back into Tank’s life again. Dr Niles Conway had met his mate one fateful night and had spent months waiting for Tank to come to him, but nothing happened so he moved to him. A date with a surprise, and a fit of jealousy, finds them mated and both struggling to come to terms with it. Tank runs panicked and confused, and Niles is left picking up the pieces. Does Niles have the patience and courage to continue down the same path, or will Tank’s insecurities ruin their chance of happiness?

I enjoyed this story with the attraction, the difficult decisions, the danger and drama and the unstoppable juggernaut of a fated mating. Tank pushed Niles to the point of suffering and so I was so pleased when it was accepted by him and they could get on with their lives. I was disturbed by the vampire's plans and so dread what is to come. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content

The Billionaire's Valet (Forever Wilde)

The Billionaire's Valet by Lucy Lennox
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Jon Banks has worked for Ignatius (Iggy) Corbridge for over 20 years loving him from afar in his role as his right-hand man, his mentor and his friend. He's pressed his suits, arranged his travel, and witnessed a thousand walks of shame as he scratched itch after itch with elite playboys around the globe. He has had enough and so quits and leaves on a sightseeing adventure halfway around the globe to put some distance between us. Then when he boards a luxury African safari train, the first sight that greets him is the man he left behind.

This was a rather brief novella which felt like a waste as it could have been made part of another book. I enjoyed the scene in the dining car but it was suddenly in a different place. This was an MM story with mature content.

Arden's protective instincts for Bastion are fierce and he'll stop at nothing to keep him safe. But as tensions rise in the political climate, their love faces its toughest challenges yet.

This was very dramatic and there was a lot of danger and drama in this story as the differences built and sides were chosen. Omega Hadley's neighbour is annoying and very noisy alpha Darius Pentembole who plays music too loud and even walks too loud. He is always seen with another omega on his arm but Hadley might have seen him pick up some kittens off the street. So Hadley signs up with the Perfect Match Dating Agency determined to find an alpha of his own to make noise with. hen he turns up to meet him it is a complete disaster as Darius shows up for that date. So Hadley gets up and runs before his heat starts.

This was an enemies-to-lovers story set in the omegaverse with two neighbours who were the perfect match (if only Hadley could move past his dislike of his annoying neighbour). I enjoyed the way that Darius did a lot of care of his omega even if it was not always graciously received. Eventually, they developed a good relationship which was underpinned by a great physical relationship. Easy to read, feel and understand.
