Review: Laying Pipe by Kiki Clark 4 of 5 stars

Laying Pipe (Blue Collar Hearts #1)

Laying Pipe by Kiki Clark
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Plumber John is 42 is divorced and has had a happy life even though he is lonely at times. His business is thriving and his best friend is like family but he knows that his son Lukas is sweet, good looking and he wants to kiss him. Twenty-six-year-old vet tech Lukas has had a crush on his Dad's best friend for years and always measures up men against him so that means they don't last long.
He knows nothing can ever come of it since John’s straight. Like, used to be married to a woman, only ever dated women, super blue-collar kind of straight. But it's fine. Lukas is sure he’ll get over his feelings eventually. Even if John is suddenly looking at him differently. Almost like… Almost like he wants to kiss Lukas?

This was a good story and I loved the way that they had false starts, misunderstandings and miscommunications but always were able to work things out. I loved the part where Lukas's parents found out about them. Some thoughts and emotions but they could have been more detailed. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
