Sean Farrell has been selling his body since he was fifteen and has learned the hard lesson that the only want to survive on the streets is to act tough and cocky. However, underneath he has never felt more adrift as he copes with crippling self-doubt. His life follows three simple rules: earn enough cash to get by, stick close to the friends who have become his family - and don’t let anyone steal his heart. Laurie Cassell's life is all about art in his calm and ordered existence which is becoming dull and predictable. Laurie craves more but doesn’t know what, or not until a man with dark hazel eyes and a bad attitude swaggers into his life - and leaves with his heart. Two men who should never have met, let alone fallen in love. Can Sean and Laurie release the others from the lives that are holding them captive?
I enjoyed this story with the two men from very different lives who met, went on dates and fell in love. There were obvious problems but they managed to get over and through them. I loved that Sean was not clueless about art and that he was able to give his opinions about pretty much anything. Lots of emotions and feelings in this story. This was easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
