Review: A Time to Heal by Megs Pritchard 4 of 5 stars

A Time to Heal (Morefield Village #4)

A Time to Heal by Megs Pritchard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Shifter Ray Black had seen hell while he’d served in the military and was now part of the security team for Morefield Village. A job he took seriously. It gave him a sense of normalcy his life lacked. What he hadn’t expected was a mate. A mate Ray wasn’t ready for and didn’t want. Human Smith had endured more than enough in his life at the hands of his sadistic brother and friends and was now able to live the quiet life he wanted thanks to two men who should have killed him but let him live instead. A mate was something that had never crossed his mind until he found out he had one. Both Ray and Smith were in no place for a mate, but it seemed fate had other ideas. Learning about each other, talking and spending time together helped them close the distance between them. When Morefield Village was infiltrated both men had to work together to help keep the residents safe. Would they succeed or had the enemy found their weakness?

I enjoyed this story with the two reluctant mates who were broken in their way and found a way to be together through clear communication with each other and utilising the available counselling. The lengths the bad guys were willing to go to were quite astounding. and yet there was still no conclusion to the whole plot. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
