Review: Free to Breathe by Megs Pritchard 4 of 5 stars

Free to Breathe (MoreField Village #2)

Free to Breathe by Megs Pritchard
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Shifter Jim Malveaux had spent years tracking down the men who murdered his sister so settling down and finding his mate were not his priority. In Morefield Village, he’d found a home and a job, working as part of a security team protecting the residents. The last thing he expected was to walk into the grocery store and find his fated mate. Human Saxon Scott couldn’t keep his eyes off Jim from the moment he walked in, but then Jim floored him by telling him they were mates. Sex, he could do but mates, that was a hard no. When Jim crosses that line, Saxon throws him out, determined to never speak to him again. But danger threatens Morefield, throwing Jim and Saxon back together again. Can Saxon put his anger aside to help Jim protect Morefield and how will Jim react when he finds out about the silky secret Sax has been keeping?

I enjoyed this story with Sax being so angry throwing things and kicking Jim out (which was deserved) and Jim's efforts to get back into his good graces. There was the drama of the incursions from the bad guys as well as his sister's killers to add to everything that was going on. Lots of thoughts and feelings in this story. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
