Christmas Dragon Lazlo has been longing to find his mate for over a thousand years and so when he sees him under sparking glass ornaments it is like a present waiting to be unwrapped. He just needs to get him back to his lair so he'll never want to leave. Omega Roman is no good at flirting and has terrible luck with men so when a gorgeous alpha says he wants to take him home he is shocked. His heat is about to start and he has never shared it with anyone but wants to say yes to Lazlo. There’s something unusual about him, the way his eyes shine, the odd phrases he keeps using. He says he wants to add Roman to his collection of beautiful things. He should be offended, but instead, he's intrigued. Just this once, should he take a risk?
This was a sweet story although as with fated mate stories, it did move at a bit of a pace. I enjoyed that Roman didn't accept it until it was clear to him that they really were meant to be together. I liked that Lazlo's hoard could contain crystal Christmas decorations just as easily as gold or precious stones. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and was set in an Omegaverse with mpreg.
