Escaping the lab that had held him captive and arriving at Morefield Village, he would have the time and space he needed to figure it out. What he hadn’t considered was meeting his mate. When Rand helped the shifters who’d escaped the lab, the sweet scent of his mate startled him. As their relationship progressed, both Rand and Holden learned to trust each other. Then Holden collapsed. Could Ran figure out what had happened and save his mate, or would he be helpless and watch him slip away?
I enjoyed this story with the drama of the rescue and then the attack on those who had been rescued by a mole. I loved how Rand gave Holfen the space he needed as well as the physical touch he also needed as his recovery progressed. I loved their care of Holden's "daughter" who had also been detained. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.
