Review: Undone in the Underbrush by Dale Mayer 5 of 5 stars

Undone in the Underbrush

Undone in the Underbrush by Dale Mayer
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Doreen and Mack barely make it home from Vancouver before a new murder case pulls them back in. It’s supposed to be Mack’s case alone, but when the victim is linked to a determined Rosemoor grandmother who insists on Doreen’s involvement, she jumps in with her loyal animal crew. Together, they uncover local criminals, a hidden crime boss, and twists no one expects — including one that shocks everyone.

This mystery stands out because the case isn’t one of Doreen’s usual historic puzzles — it’s current, dangerous, and far more tangled than expected. I loved how well Doreen and Mack worked together here, openly sharing information and functioning as a real team. The web of connections leading to more dangerous people gave the story a slightly different tone, but in a way that kept things fresh and engaging. Of course, Doreen’s loyal animal crew is right there beside her, offering support, chaos, and charm in all the best ways. It’s an enjoyable mystery that lets you solve the clues right alongside Doreen, making the whole experience easy to follow, fun to feel, and very satisfying.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Review: Just in Time by Charity Parkerson 5 of 5 stars

Just in Time

Just in Time by Charity Parkerson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

German has spent years guarding celebrities and staying detached, but Blaze — a young, magnetic star — gets under his skin in a way no one else has. Blaze can have anything he wants, yet he keeps gravitating toward German, trying to charm a smile out of him every time they meet. As their paths keep crossing, both men realise there’s something between them they can’t ignore, even if neither is sure they deserve it.

The undeniable connection between German and Blaze shines through the whole story — they orbit each other from the start, and it’s so clear they’re meant to end up together. I especially loved how they recognised the deeper issue within Blaze’s family and were perfectly placed to help resolve it for everyone involved. There’s so much love woven through their journey, and the Christmas moments were warm, sweet, and genuinely smile‑inducing. The story is full of big emotions and clear, heartfelt feelings, all easy to understand and easy to feel right alongside them. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: My Guide Dog is a Wolf Shifter by Roxie Ray 2 of 5 stars

My Guide Dog is a Wolf Shifter

My Guide Dog is a Wolf Shifter by Roxie Ray
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Jason goes into hiding by taking on the absurd plan of posing as a guide dog, while Violet is trying to rebuild her independence after losing her sight. She agrees to a trial with the oversized “dog” named Jason — only to meet Human Jason, her new cooking instructor, soon after. As lessons, errands, and unexpected chemistry pull them closer, Violet’s world expands again, and Jason’s safe hiding place becomes something far more complicated. Neither of them planned on feelings, but “temporary” doesn’t stay temporary for long.

The title alone was enough to tempt me into reading this, but I ended up feeling a bit disappointed because so much of the story simply didn’t make sense. I kept wondering how Jason managed to have a mobile phone while supposedly hiding as a guide dog, and why Violet suddenly lost touch with important people only for them to reappear later without explanation. I did like the ending — it was sweet and satisfying — just not the confusing path the story took to get there. This was an MF story.

Review: The General's Mate by C.W. Gray 4 of 5 stars

The General's Mate

The General's Mate by C.W. Gray
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Leti and Hack are newly mated, but instead of settling in peacefully, they’re thrown into danger and responsibility. Leti’s research into Dr. Morrick’s artifact reveals a threat that could endanger the entire galaxy, while Hack returns to Charybdis Station only to face new duties and a looming war with the Concord. As everything escalates around them, the two must rely on each other and learn to stand together, because far more than their happiness is at stake.

This continuation of Leti and Hack’s story is packed with changes, chaos, and rising danger as the situation with the Concords intensifies and the mystery of the artifact grows even more alarming. Amid all the upheaval, the book still finds room for tender moments, especially through Leti’s endless capacity to give love — one of the most touching parts of the story. There’s plenty of danger, drama, affection, and warmth, creating a balance that kept the story engaging from start to finish. I’m definitely looking forward to the next book, which I’m sure will be just as enjoyable (and just as delightfully cheesy). This was an MM story with mature content and set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Review: Kane by Zack Wish 3 of 5 stars

Kane: An Age Gap Russian Mafia Forbidden Dark Romance

Kane: An Age Gap Russian Mafia Forbidden Dark Romance by Zack Wish
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Kane, raised to kill rather than lead, is forced to take over his family after his brothers die. William, a young PhD student and Little, lives a quiet academic life until a chance encounter with Kane pulls him into danger and desire. Their connection escalates fast, and when fate traps William deeper in Kane’s world, walking away stops being an option.

The connection between Kane and William is undeniable, even though it comes at the worst possible time for Kane and is genuinely dangerous for William. That tension gives the story energy, but it also highlights some gaps. This book has a clear focus on spanking, yet there’s no discussion of limits or boundaries, which made parts of their dynamic feel unbalanced. I also missed the softer, nurturing side of being a Little — something William only really experienced when he was with other Littles rather than with Kane himself. The plot is engaging and the characters compelling, but the romance would have felt stronger with more affection, communication, and emotional care woven into their dynamic. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Decker by Aja Foxx 3 of 5 stars

Decker

Decker by Aja Foxx
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Jasper flees the city to escape harassment from Gerald Hughs and hides with his grandfather, but the danger follows him. Decker returns home after his own grandfather urges him to protect Jasper, a vulnerable omega being targeted by bullies and a predatory suitor. Decker brings Jasper to safety at Black Butte Ranch, where they grow close and begin healing together. But Gerald refuses to let go and tracks Jasper to Montana, convinced Jasper belongs to him. As the threat escalates, Jasper must face his past while Decker prepares for a final showdown. When Gerald makes his last attempt to reclaim him, Decker stands firm, proving that love — and the community around them — is stronger than fear.

I enjoyed this story, but I was surprised — and honestly a bit disappointed — that there was no real mention of love between Jasper and Decker. Jasper’s situation was impossible, and it took the entire Black Butte Ranch community and their allies to keep him safe, which added great tension and heart to the plot. What felt less convincing was how quickly Jasper and Decker’s relationship shifted from protector to lover to something seemingly permanent. The speed of that progression, without much shown in the way of love or affection, made the romance feel a little unbalanced. Still, the story was well written, easy to follow, and full of emotion and danger. I enjoyed the journey — I just wished the romance had been given more space to truly grow. This was an MM story with mature content and set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Review: Shelter by Reese Knightley 5 of 5 stars

Shelter

Shelter by Reese Knightley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Sage is a lone, efficient assassin who never lets anyone close — until Law Steel, the one man who refuses to back off. When bodies start dropping, Sage recognises the threat from his past, and this time it’s targeting the few people he cares about. Law won’t walk away, staying beside him as the danger closes in. With the enemy tightening its grip, the only thing they can hold onto — and the only real way out — is each other.

This instalment delivered plenty of danger and drama, with the threats against Sage (YA tech specialist) and Law (Genesis 2nd in command) escalating until more of their team and the other related teams had to step in. I loved watching how, through all of it, Sage realised again and again that Law truly had his back — and how quickly they became necessary to each other. For all their strength and sharp edges, there were real emotions, feelings, and flashes of passion woven through the chaos, giving their relationship depth alongside the action. The balance between intensity and vulnerability worked well, and the writing stayed clear, engaging, and easy to follow from start to finish. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Freeze Frame by E.M. Denning 4 of 5 stars

Freeze Frame

Freeze Frame by E.M. Denning
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

David’s life doesn’t change much after adopting a rescue dog — until his new pup reconnects with an old friend at the park, leading David to meet the dog’s owner, Josh. Josh lives a split life: at work he’s River, a trans adult‑industry performer and cameraman; off the clock he’s just Josh, a new dog dad trying to find balance. What begins as dog‑park hangouts turns into friendship, then something deeper. To make it work, Josh has to trust that David knows what he wants — and that Josh’s career won’t scare him away.

The undeniable connection and attraction between David and Josh shines from the start, helped along beautifully by the easy friendship between their dogs. What really stood out, though, was how much emotional intelligence both men needed to navigate the people around them — and how well they rose to that challenge. I especially loved the way David handled Josh’s identity as a trans man, asking the right questions with care, respect, and genuine curiosity, both for everyday life and for intimacy. It made their growing bond feel thoughtful and grounded. The story is full of emotions, feelings, and warmth, and watching them build something real together was incredibly satisfying. A tender, heartfelt romance with depth and compassion. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Crowe by Jacki James 5 of 5 stars

Crowe

Crowe by Jacki James
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Noah has spent six months rebuilding his life after escaping hell, finally starting to feel safe — until the man who once bought him resurfaces to claim him. Terrified, he turns to Three Bears Tactical, the only people who ever made him feel protected. Crowe normally handles training, not protection, but when Noah returns shaken and determined to fight, he steps in. Keeping Noah close becomes more than duty, and the line between protection and something deeper blurs fast. For Crowe, guarding Noah stops being a job. It becomes personal.

I loved how Crowe stepped up to protect Noah, even as Noah’s buyer escalated the danger and drama in his attempts to drag him back. The tension stayed high throughout, but the story balanced it beautifully with the growing love between Crowe and Noah. Their romance was woven seamlessly into the wider plot about a people‑trafficker who believed he was untouchable — and hated losing control. The book was full of emotions, feelings, and passion, especially as the two men tried to navigate their connection while leaning on the rest of Three Bears Tactical for support. A gripping mix of danger and heart, and a romance that felt both intense and deeply earned. This was an MM story with mature content with a Daddy/boy dynamic.

Review: The Mercenary's Mate by C.W. Gray 3 of 5 stars

The Mercenary's Mate

The Mercenary's Mate by C.W. Gray
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Leti Ando desperately needs to get off‑planet to rescue his loved ones, so he — plus his companions and menagerie — secretly boards a ship, not realising it belongs to mercenary captain Will Hackett of The Blue Solace. Will has been restless for months, but everything shifts when he discovers Leti is his mate. Their bond forms easily, even as the crew takes on a dangerous mission to transport a scientist and a mysterious artifact. When Concord mercenaries interfere, their fast, effortless romance is tested by threats far bigger than either of them — and staying alive becomes the real challenge.

This was very much an instalove romance for Will and Leti, and while their bond forms quickly, I did enjoy how warmly the crew of the Blue Solace embraced Leti and his whole extended “family.” That sense of found‑family support added a lot of charm to the story. The book was a little light on character development, and the emotions and feelings tended to stay at a high level rather than digging deeper, but even so, the journey was fun and engaging. Overall, a sweet, easy read with plenty of heart. This was an MM story with mature content and MPREG.

Review: Holden by Kate Hawthorne 4 of 5 stars

Holden

Holden by Kate Hawthorne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Holden, a quiet tattoo artist, ends up taking Bryce — his chatty co‑worker Merrick’s younger brother — to lunch on Bryce’s first day in LA. Their attraction is instant, and what starts as a casual, secret fling quickly becomes a safe space for both of them: Holden helps Bryce slow down and explore what he wants, while Bryce encourages Holden to speak up for his own needs. But their secret can’t last forever, and once Merrick finds out, their fragile new relationship faces a real test.

This book leans heavily into kink (especially breeding themes) and there’s plenty of heat, but what really holds the story together is the steady thread of relationship angst running underneath it. Even though the colleague’s‑younger‑brother trope can feel a bit overdone and slightly manufactured here, I still enjoyed how well they helped each other communicate and grow. Their emotional push‑and‑pull gave the story some depth, and the way they learned to express what they needed from each other was  satisfying. The rooftop scene at the end was a standout moment — warm, hopeful, and the perfect way to close their arc in this instalment. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: The Beast Who Broke Me by Leighton Greene 5 of 5 stars

The Beast Who Broke Me

The Beast Who Broke Me by Leighton Greene
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Caligula escapes Damiano Orsini, the beast who once bought and caged him, thinking he can reclaim his throne alone — but he quickly learns he can’t survive without help. With no other options, he returns to Damiano determined to use and control him instead of being controlled. Living under Damiano’s roof again blurs every line. Strategy turns into surrender, and the man who chained him becomes the only thing standing between Caligula and whoever wants him dead. Wanting him is dangerous… but losing him might be worse.

The push and pull between Caligula and Damiano only intensifies in this instalment, swinging sharply between brutality and unexpected tenderness. Their dynamic is volatile, emotional, and constantly shifting, and I loved how many clear, vivid feelings were woven through every moment. Both men make miscalculations along the way, but the biggest mistakes hit right at the end — and that cliffhanger lands hard. The story captures perfectly how thin the line between domination, dependence, anger, and longing can be, and how tangled their connection has become. A gripping continuation full of emotion, tension, and raw intensity. I’m absolutely ready for the next part. This was an MM story with mature content.

Open Liner

Open Liner by Katherine McIntyre
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

August’s awful day takes a turn when a kitchen fire brings firefighter Drake into his life — who also happens to be his ex‑girlfriend’s brother. With his parents planning to move away, August feels more alone than ever and considers leaving town too. Drake, stuck in a rut, throws himself into organising a charity concert and ends up needing August’s help. Their chemistry grows fast, but with August unsure about staying and Drake unwilling to hurt his sister, acting on it becomes complicated.

The connection between August and Drake is undeniable from the start, even though it feels completely forbidden because of Serena and the complicated ties she has to them both. That tension adds an emotional edge to every moment they share as they slowly shift from attraction to something deeper. Their dating journey is full of feelings — longing, hesitation, hope — all heightened by August’s torment over whether he should move away with his parents or stay and take a chance on something real. Watching them fall for each other while navigating that uncertainty gave the story a strong emotional pull. A heartfelt, easy read with plenty of warmth, conflict, and connection. This was an MM story with mature content.

The Beast Who Bought Me

The Beast Who Bought Me by Leighton Greene
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Caligula Clemenza, once a mafia prince, is now the last heir of a bloodline being hunted down. With no allies or resources left, he turns to an underground auction where desperate men are sold. Instead of being bought by a stranger, he’s claimed by Damiano Orsini — a man with a long‑standing vendetta against Caligula’s father. Dragged into a private prison built just for him, Caligula expects cruelty, not protection. But when danger follows him, Damiano becomes both captor and shield… and the real risk becomes how much Caligula starts wanting him to stay.

Their relationship begins with possession, cruelty, and a power imbalance that’s impossible to ignore — but as events force them to rely on each other, that dynamic slowly shifts. I loved how their connection grew into something neither of them expected, showing just how thin the line between love and hate can be. What stood out most was how clearly their thoughts and feelings were written. Every moment — fear, anger, longing, confusion — was vivid enough that I felt like I was living it alongside them. Watching them move from enemies locked in a cage of vengeance to reluctant partners working together was gripping. I’m definitely looking forward to the next instalment and seeing where their volatile, compelling bond goes next. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Rocco by Joe Satoria 3 of 5 stars

Rocco: An MM Mafia Romance

Rocco: An MM Mafia Romance by Joe Satoria
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Rocco Bianchi, an underboss who treats danger like a game, crosses paths with Kalen O’Ryan, an FBI analyst who slips undercover into the Bianchi world while visiting Boston to care for his mum. Their flirtation turns into a charged push‑pull as Kalen gets drawn deeper into the fiercely loyal Bianchi family. He must decide whether to walk away or fall in line — especially as he rediscovers his little space and realises the man awakening it might be the Daddy he didn’t expect.

Their relationship definitely has an unconventional beginning, but the connection between Rocco and Kalen is hard to deny once it sparks. I liked the way they tried to navigate that pull while also protecting each other as their worlds collided. However, I did find parts of the story difficult to believe, and some of their interactions felt a bit manufactured rather than naturally developed. I also struggled with how Kalen’s mum was written — she seemed far more ill throughout the book than she appeared to be by the end, which made her storyline feel uneven. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: The Omega's Marine by C.W. Gray 4 of 5 stars

The Omega's Marine

The Omega's Marine by C.W. Gray
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Fernando, an omega desperate for a fresh start, heads off for spring break hoping to escape the chaos his life has become. Instead, he meets Walker Jones, an alpha who’s spent his life feeling alone until the military gave him purpose. Their connection is immediate, and together they start dreaming of a future built on stability, love, and family. But when those plans fall apart, Fernando and Walker must lean on the people around them and rebuild a new vision for their lives. In the end, they teach each other what joy, belonging, and real love can look like.

Fernando and Walker form a connection almost instantly, but what I really loved was how they kept building it — staying in touch, talking regularly over video, and choosing each other long before they were in the same place again. Their relationship felt steady and intentional in a way that really worked for me. Both men are welcomed with open arms by the residents of Hobson Hills, and the Wilson family immediately deciding to “adopt” Walker was such a perfect, heartwarming touch. The whole story is easy to read and understand, with a lovely balance of humour — especially the Bigfoot festival and the pranks, which genuinely made me smile. A warm, hopeful romance with community charm and a wonderful ending that left me happy for them both. This was an MM story with mature content and set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Review: The Den by Cora Rose 3 of 5 stars

The Den

The Den by Cora Rose
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Glenn is an alpha looking for something to break the monotony of his life when he visits The Den. The moment he scents omega Arbor, he’s instantly drawn in. That spark becomes a real complication when he later discovers Arbor is actually his supervisor at work. Arbor doesn’t want to be claimed, and Glenn knows he should step back — but the connection between them makes him feel alive in a way he hasn’t in years, pulling them both toward something neither expected.

The connection between Glenn and Arbor is undeniable from the start, and I enjoyed how they had to stand together — not just for their relationship, but to protect each other as tensions with the Fae escalated. The mix of danger, drama, and loyalty gave their bond real weight. I loved the way they defended one another, proving that their instincts weren’t just physical but emotional too. However, I did struggle at times because parts of the story felt a bit too strange for me, which affected my overall enjoyment. Still, their connection and determination to stay together were the heart of the book, and that part absolutely worked. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse.

Admiring His Omega

Admiring His Omega by C.W. Gray
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cain, a respected but lonely lawyer, leaves Atlanta—and an unrequited crush—to start over in Hobson Hills. Malcolm, a cheerful, free‑spirited omega who lives on the road, keeps finding reasons to return to the same town. When their paths cross, Cain is drawn to Malcolm’s playful warmth, and Malcolm discovers he has a soft spot for serious men. Their connection is instant, but with such different lifestyles pulling them in opposite directions, staying together won’t be easy.

Their attraction sparked instantly, but what I really appreciated was how they had to work to turn that spark into a genuine friendship first. Watching them slowly build trust and understanding made their later connection feel much deeper. As their relationship grew into something more, life kept throwing obstacles in their way. Even so, they stayed committed to finding a path forward together — even if it meant delaying the future they wanted. The emotional weight of their journey was shared not just between them but with the people they were trying so hard to protect, which made their eventual chance to be together feel like a relief for everyone involved. The story also tied back to events from earlier books, neatly wrapping up several ongoing arcs. In the end, it was satisfying to see them finally able to claim their place as a family. Review: Trading Me by Shaw Montgomery 2 of 5 stars

Trading Me

Trading Me by Shaw Montgomery
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Knox is a chaotic, struggling author whose joke ad—“Will trade clean toilets for dirty books”—accidentally attracts Rohan, a gorgeous reader willing to rescue him from his messy house, bad habits, and possibly haunted attic. Knox isn’t sure if Rohan is trouble or salvation, but he definitely can’t ignore how attractive he is.

Knox was an absolute whirlwind of chaos, and while that was clearly the point, it made writing him — and therefore reading him — really difficult for me. His life was such a mess that instead of feeling endearing or quirky, it often felt overwhelming. The haunted attic and possible gremlins had the potential to be funny, but the humour never quite landed for me, leaving those moments feeling more odd than entertaining. Rohan was a solid caretaker figure and clearly good for Knox in many ways, but their dynamic felt slightly off‑balance. At times, it gave the uncomfortable impression that Rohan was taking advantage of Knox’s vulnerability rather than meeting him as an equal. Overall, the story had charm, but the character dynamics and tone didn’t quite work for me. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like D/s dynamic.

A Home for His Omega by C.W. Gray
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Tomás finally has the family he longed for, but meeting Henry — a privileged yet lonely omega searching for belonging — awakens a deeper desire for love. Their bond is tender and full of promise, but they’ll need courage and patience to overcome the expectations trying to pull them apart.

This was a sweet, easy read, but at novella length, it just didn’t give me the depth of feelings and emotional development I was hoping for. I especially wanted more insight into Henry — his past, his inner world, and the complicated relationship with his step‑brother Teague. What was there was intriguing, but it felt like only the surface was touched. Still, it was an enjoyable addition to the series, just one I wished had been a little longer so the emotional beats could fully land. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse.

Still Here

Still Here by A.J. Knight
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ellis has built his life around quiet, safe spaces, especially the punk record store that became his refuge after losing his father and his mother to alcohol. When the shop is sold to confident outsider Issaky Jones, Ellis fears everything stable is about to disappear. But Issaky surprises him — offering support, patience, and a steadiness Ellis didn’t expect. As resentment shifts into attraction, Ellis also discovers a box of old love letters that mirror his own journey. When grief strikes again, Ellis must choose between retreating into silence or trusting the man who keeps showing up for him.

The writing swept me away completely — I felt every emotion and every quiet, aching moment Ellis went through. His inner world was so vivid that it was impossible not to live it with him. I especially loved how Issaky was gentle, patient, and instinctively understanding, giving Ellis the time and tools he needed to communicate and feel safe. Their connection felt steady, tender, and beautifully earned. Ellis’s autism was handled with such sensitivity and respect, and I genuinely want to congratulate the author for portraying it so thoughtfully. This story brings both tears and smiles, wrapping grief, healing, and love into something deeply human and quietly powerful. This was an MM story with mature content.

The Sheriff's Omega

The Sheriff's Omega by C.W. Gray
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sheriff Mack McKenzie has given up on finding love, focusing instead on protecting Hobson Hills and managing the ever‑chaotic Wilson family. That changes when Roe Dorsey — a younger man fleeing a stalker and an attempt on his life — shows up on his doorstep. Roe hopes Hobson Hills will be a safe temporary refuge, but he never expects to find a real home or someone like Mack. As danger closes in, the two must decide whether to face it together or let fear pull them apart.

The connection between Mack and Roe is undeniable from the moment they meet, even as Mack focuses on giving Roe and his family the sanctuary they desperately need. I loved how the residents of Hobson Hills immediately stepped in with their trademark warmth — befriending, helping, and occasionally meddling in all the right ways. The emotions and feelings throughout the story felt very real, especially as both men slowly opened themselves up to the possibility of love again. Watching Mack and Roe find not just safety but a second chance at love and family was incredibly satisfying. This was an MM story with mature content and set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Little Baby Boy

Little Baby Boy by Wendy Rathbone
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Sage and Preston are two men who know they want something deeper than casual connections, even if they’re not sure what that looks like yet. Sage dreams of a partner who’s his alone, not the non‑exclusive relationships he’s tried before. Preston, dragged to a club he’s long outgrown, realises he wants more than fleeting encounters too. When they see each other, something clicks — a spark that hints they might have finally found what they’ve both been missing.

Both Sage and Preston want something lasting, and the moment they meet it becomes clear they’re exactly what the other has been searching for. I loved how naturally Preston understood Sage’s needs — almost entirely on instinct — which only highlighted how perfectly they fit together. The story is easy to read and follow, with plenty of warmth as their connection deepens. However, some of the conflicts they faced felt a bit manufactured, which did take away from my overall enjoyment. Still, their chemistry and desire for a real, committed relationship made this a sweet and satisfying read. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Loving My Omega

Loving My Omega by C.W. Gray
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sam and Teague have been best friends for years, but being single at the same time finally forces them to face the feelings they’ve both been avoiding. After a breakup, Sam moves back to Hobson Hills to care for his great‑aunt and slowly builds a new life — one that makes him realise how much he misses Teague. Teague, expecting Sam to return to Seattle, has to decide what he’s willing to do to keep the most important person in his life close. Together, they discover they’re better side by side… but now they have to decide if they’re meant to stay friends or become something more.

Sam and Teague have always loved each other, but it takes time — and a lot of emotions — for them to realise that what they share is far deeper than friendship. Teague really is a Dr Doolittle‑type, and Sam has that quiet “people whisperer” energy, so together they make an incredible team as their bond shifts into something more. The story is full of feelings as they navigate that transition, helped (and occasionally pushed) by the wonderfully nosy residents of Hobson Hills. And of course, Gramps manages to be right at the centre of the happy ending, just as he should be. A warm, heartfelt friends‑to‑lovers romance with plenty of emotion and community charm. The Stowaway by Cara Dee
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Operator Hyatt is deep into a mission in the Hindu Kush when he discovers Kiera, a terrified American stowaway hiding in his helicopter. He can’t abandon the mission, so she’s forced to stay with him for the week until they can get to safety. Hyatt tries to stay focused, but Kiera’s story — and her sunshine‑bright presence — quickly becomes a distraction even his grumpy resolve can’t ignore.

Kiera definitely puts Wyatt in an impossible position by hiding on his helicopter, and their forced week together becomes the perfect chance for her sunshine warmth to chip away at his walls. As the days pass, that tension shifts into something far more intimate, and I liked that once they reached the US, they both had to adapt their lives — and were willing to — to make space for each other. I would’ve loved even more detail, especially a more dangerous, high‑stakes journey out of Afghanistan, but there were some emotions and feelings as they navigated their situation and the people around them. Overall, a quick, easy read with a grumpy/sunshine pairing that grows into something real. This was an MF story with mature content.

Review: Convincing the Alpha by C.W. Gray 4 of 5 stars

Convincing the Alpha

Convincing the Alpha by C.W. Gray
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Noah, a former soldier who lost his hearing, has built a quiet, content life on his ranch, even if his family hopes he’ll find love someday. Former Marine Zed Ames is a natural caretaker who’s spent his life looking after everyone but himself. When they meet in Hobson Hills, Zed realises he doesn’t need an omega — he needs Noah. Now he just has to convince the other alpha that, despite doubts and meddling families, they’re a perfect fit.

I loved how Noah and Zed began by building a steady, genuine friendship that slowly deepened into love. As two alphas, everyone around them kept nudging them toward omegas, but their growing bond made it clear they only wanted each other — if they could just be brave enough to reach for it. Noah, especially, stole my heart. After everything he’d been through, his gentleness and quiet strength made his final leap of courage feel so well earned. The story is full of emotions and feelings as both men work through doubts, past hurts, and the ever‑present involvement of their wonderfully meddlesome families. A warm, heartfelt romance where love is built with patience, trust, and the small everyday moments that matter most. This was an MM story with mature content and set in the omegaverse.

Review: Mending Hearts by Becca Seymour 5 of 5 stars

Mending Hearts

Mending Hearts by Becca Seymour
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ollie’s tightly controlled world collapses when his private life goes public, leaving the League, sponsors, and the media picking apart every piece of him. Rafe’s star is rising fast, but success feels empty when the man he loves is being torn apart under the spotlight. They’ve survived distance, ambition, and secrets — but now they’re facing the fallout. With reputations, contracts, and old wounds on the line, they have to decide whether their love is something to hide or something worth fighting for in full view of the world. Mending what’s broken is messy, public, and brave — and choosing each other might be the only way home.

After being apart for so long, Ollie and Rafe finally reach a breaking point — the moment where holding everything in becomes impossible, and something has to change. That crossroads is raw, emotional, and exactly what they needed to finally fight together instead of drifting alone. This story is full of feelings — frustration, longing, fear, hope — all of it building toward a relationship that’s stronger because they choose it openly and deliberately. I loved seeing them work side by side, finally pulling in the same direction, and I especially loved the people around them who stepped up to protect, support, and steady them when the world felt too loud. A heartfelt, satisfying conclusion to the trilogy, bringing their journey full circle with courage, connection, and the promise of something lasting. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Steele Trap by Dale Mayer 4 of 5 stars

Steele Trap

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Cyan’s unannounced visit to Terk’s team goes wrong from the start. Locked gates and unfamiliar woods leave her frustrated — and then she unexpectedly runs into Steele, the man she worked with eight years ago and never forgot. Steele, lost in a dreamlike haze with his memories slipping, doesn’t realise Cyan is nearby or that danger is closing in. When he’s ambushed, Cyan steps in to save him. Now both of them are targets, and reaching Terk’s safe compound becomes a tense, dangerous race.

The mysterious, shifting reality created by the Beacon gives this story a wonderfully tense edge, trapping Cyan and Steele in a world designed to protect Terk and the castle’s residents. I loved how they had to navigate that engineered illusion while facing an enemy pulled straight from Steele’s past — forcing them to work together and revisit old memories in order to survive. There’s a strong emotional undercurrent throughout, with plenty of feelings woven into the danger, yet the characters still approach each challenge with clear, logical problem‑solving. That balance made their journey easy to follow and deeply engaging.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Review: Sweet-Talking Silas by D.J. Jamison 4 of 5 stars

Sweet-Talking Silas

Sweet-Talking Silas by D.J. Jamison
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Silas, a wedding planner who no longer believes in happily‑ever‑afters, agrees to one match just to stop the Matchmaking Mamas’ meddling. Then he meets Bryson — charming, romantic, and unexpectedly perfect. Everything crashes when a man who looks exactly like Bryson shows up to a consult with his bride… until Silas learns Bryson has an identical twin. Now he has to decide whether the man he fell for is worth risking his heart again.

This story is a full romcom‑worthy rollercoaster, and I loved every twist. The connection between Silas and Bryson is instant, but what really makes the romance shine is the way Bryson gives Silas the space to reach his own conclusions — knowing that pushing too hard would only send him running. The emotions run high throughout as both men, especially Silas, work through the fears and heartbreaks that still shape their lives. Their relationship feels earned in the best way: hard‑won, tender, and absolutely deserved after everything Silas has been through. A charming, emotional read with all the feelings you want from a romcom‑style romance. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: The Alpha's Christmas Wish by C.W. Gray 4 of 5 stars

The Alpha's Christmas Wish (Hobson Hills Omegas #7)

The Alpha's Christmas Wish by C.W. Gray
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Juan longs for love, especially with Jackson, but he’s sure it’ll never happen. Jackson, shaped by a past full of abusive alphas, has sworn never to trust one again — even a good one like Juan. When Bennett encourages Juan to make a Christmas wish, everything shifts, giving both men a chance at the happiness they’ve been afraid to reach for.

The connection between Juan and Jackson is undeniable from the start, but it takes Juan’s patience and Jackson’s bravery for their friendship to finally become something deeper. They face several stressful moments together, and each time they meet those challenges with care, affection, and a growing sense of trust. I loved the warmth of their relationship — the small, everyday gestures like bringing each other coffee or food made their bond feel real and lived‑in. The story is full of emotions and heartfelt moments, making their journey toward love both tender and satisfying. This was an MM story with mature content and set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Review: Rowan's Lost Backpack by Della Cain by Kaytea Kat 3 of 5 stars

Rowan's Lost Backpack

Rowan's Lost Backpack by Della Cain by Kaytea Kat
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Rowan accidentally grabs the wrong backpack at Chained and ends up with a stranger’s work bag instead of his little gear. After a night of panicking, he reaches out to the owner and is called to a major law firm the next morning. There he meets Summit — a powerful, gorgeous Daddy who already has Rowan’s real backpack and clearly understands exactly what its contents mean.

This short story was such a sweet, fated‑feeling romance. Rowan and Summit only meet because of a mixed‑up backpack, but it genuinely feels like destiny — they fit together so naturally. I loved how Rowan gently encouraged Summit to work smarter, giving him more time for himself and for the relationship they were building. It was also lovely to see them take the time to grow as both boyfriends and as a Daddy/little pairing, letting trust and understanding develop at a steady pace. The whole story is easy to read, warm, and emotionally satisfying — a charming, low‑stress romance with a perfect accidental‑meeting start. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Dragon Manny by Minerva Howe 4 of 5 stars

Dragon Manny

Dragon Manny by Minerva Howe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Daniel heads into the Colorado mountains for a manny job and meets Hayden, an intimidating but gorgeous dragon shifter raising his unusually advanced baby, Jacks. Daniel quickly bonds with the child, and Hayden realises there’s far more to Daniel than he expected. Just as their connection begins to grow, danger arrives, forcing them to work together to protect Jacks and the fragile new family forming between them.

Daniel’s easy, natural bond with baby Jacks is what lets him settle into the household so quickly, and it becomes the foundation for everything that follows. As time goes on, it’s clear that his connection with Hayden is deepening too — and that Daniel needs space to learn about dragons as well as explore his own heritage. I loved seeing the three of them grow into a real family, especially when danger struck and they worked together to protect each other. The emotions are gentle, the pacing is smooth, and the story is easy to read and understand. Overall, it’s an enjoyable paranormal romance with warmth, heart, and a lovely sense of found family. This was an MM story with mature content and set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Review: Sweet Violence by April Jade 5 of 5 stars

Sweet Violence

Sweet Violence by April Jade
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Archie earns an assistantship at Wexley expecting to work under celebrated survivor‑turned‑author Henry Rothwell — a man famous for living through a fire and building a career on that story. But up close, the polished narrative doesn’t hold. The details feel wrong, the silences feel deliberate, and the longer Archie stays, the more he senses something darker beneath Henry’s public persona. What the world believes about Henry isn’t the truth, and Archie finds himself dangerously close to uncovering who — or what — Henry really is.

The connection between Archie and Henry is undeniable from the start of this dark romance — two men equally fascinated by each other, drawn together by something sharp, curious, and impossible to ignore. They’re similar in so many ways, but Henry has had years to perfect the mask he shows the world, while Archie is still learning how to read the shadows behind it. I loved how they could openly discuss scenarios, motivations, and the darker corners of human behaviour; it made Archie the perfect assistant for Henry, and it deepened their bond in a way that felt both intellectual and intimate. The story carries real danger and drama as Archie gets too close to something he shouldn’t, and Henry steps in with a fierce protectiveness that says more than words ever could. Archie’s friendship with Rhys was another highlight — a vital source of grounding and support before Henry became part of his world. A dark, compelling read with tension, obsession, and a connection that feels as inevitable as it is intense. This was an MM story with mature content with a BDSM-like Daddy/boy dynamic.

Review: Grey's Gift by C.W. Gray 4 of 5 stars

Grey's Gift

Grey's Gift by C.W. Gray
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This short story offers a warm slice‑of‑life return to Hobson Hills, with each chapter checking in on a different couple from the series. When Grey faces a daunting decision, the Wilson clan — nosy, loud, and endlessly supportive — rallies around him to make sure he knows he isn’t alone. It’s a gentle reminder of how deeply this community cares for one another and how much strength comes from the bonds they’ve built.

I really loved this little slice‑of‑life story. It balanced two things beautifully: giving Grey the support he desperately needed and letting us catch up with all the families we’ve grown attached to. The Wilsons were their usual mix of nosy, chaotic, and endlessly loving, and the emotional moments hit in all the right ways. There were so many feelings throughout — and honestly, an overload of cuteness — that made the whole thing feel warm and satisfying. And now I’m absolutely dying to see the gift they prepared for Grey; it sounded like the perfect Wilson‑style gesture. This was an MM story with mature content and set in the omegaverse with MPREG.

Review: Hounding Hank by D.J. Jamison 3 of 5 stars

Hounding Hank

Hounding Hank by D.J. Jamison
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Jamie finally gets a match from the Matchmaking Mamas: Hank, who seems perfect over text and shares his love of dogs. Their first date looks promising — until Hank arrives expecting a woman. The mix‑up leaves them both scrambling, but a real friendship starts to grow. As Jamie’s attraction deepens, he can’t help wondering if Hank might still be his Prince Charming… or if he’s barking up the wrong tree.

Jamie and Hank start with a warm, easy friendship built on their shared love of dogs, and that connection becomes the heart of the story. I especially enjoyed how people around them began to question whether they were really just friends, while Jamie stayed determined to let any shift between them be Hank’s choice, not something he pushed for. There are emotions and tender moments throughout, but I did find myself wishing the book had gone deeper into themes like fluid sexuality and demisexuality. Even so, their growing bond is sweet, steady, and genuinely enjoyable to follow. This was an MM story with mature content.
