Abel can’t stop thinking about Mateo after what was meant to be a one‑night stand, and discovering he’s pregnant makes him want a real future with him — despite the miles between them. Mateo feels the same and jumps at the chance to move to Maine when a job opens in Abel’s pub. Once reunited, they build a loving family and face everything together, from meddling relatives to real danger.
The pull between Abel and Mateo is undeniable from the start, and I loved how naturally Abel fit into Mateo’s existing family. The Wilsons embracing Mateo and his loved ones so readily added such warmth to the story. The danger that eventually finds them is dramatic, and the reveal of who was behind it — and why — was genuinely surprising. They handle every twist together, growing even closer as a couple. The whole book is filled with big emotions and heartfelt moments that are handled beautifully. This was an MM story with mature content and set in the omegaverse with MPREG.
