Caligula Clemenza, once a mafia prince, is now the last heir of a bloodline being hunted down. With no allies or resources left, he turns to an underground auction where desperate men are sold. Instead of being bought by a stranger, he’s claimed by Damiano Orsini — a man with a long‑standing vendetta against Caligula’s father. Dragged into a private prison built just for him, Caligula expects cruelty, not protection. But when danger follows him, Damiano becomes both captor and shield… and the real risk becomes how much Caligula starts wanting him to stay.
Their relationship begins with possession, cruelty, and a power imbalance that’s impossible to ignore — but as events force them to rely on each other, that dynamic slowly shifts. I loved how their connection grew into something neither of them expected, showing just how thin the line between love and hate can be. What stood out most was how clearly their thoughts and feelings were written. Every moment — fear, anger, longing, confusion — was vivid enough that I felt like I was living it alongside them. Watching them move from enemies locked in a cage of vengeance to reluctant partners working together was gripping. I’m definitely looking forward to the next instalment and seeing where their volatile, compelling bond goes next. This was an MM story with mature content.
