Review: Kari's Kismet by J.P. Sayle 4 of 5 stars

Kari's Kismet

Kari's Kismet by J.P. Sayle
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kari has always kept his distance from Bowie, even though the shy omega pulls at every protective instinct he has. When work forces them together, Kari’s feelings deepen — and when Bowie’s boyfriend abandons him, Kari chooses to stay and care for him. That choice changes everything. Kari soon discovers Bowie is naturally a Little, though Bowie doesn’t understand what that means for them. As they try to build a relationship, Bowie’s insecurities and his ex threaten their progress, and Kari hides their bond at Bowie’s request. But Kari is determined: a devoted Daddy will do the work needed to protect the person he loves.

Kari and Bowie were absolutely made for each other, even if it took Bowie time — and a lot of healing — to believe he deserved someone as steady and protective as Kari. After the nightmare of his ex, Bowie’s confidence was fragile, and watching him slowly trust himself again was one of the most emotional parts of the story. Kari’s quiet devotion, his instinct to care, and the way he never once wavered made their connection feel inevitable. And the wider world around them — the PAs, the alpha brothers, and their families — stepped in with warmth, humour, and unwavering support, giving both men the safety net they needed. A story full of big feelings, gentle care, and a couple who fit together perfectly once Bowie finally lets himself fall. This was an MM story with mature content that was set in the omegaverse with a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.
