Review: Secret Admirer by D.J. Jamison 3 of 5 stars

Secret Admirer

Secret Admirer by D.J. Jamison
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Ace, Benji’s brother’s best friend, has been secretly falling for him and starts leaving anonymous secret admirer notes and gifts to express what he can’t say aloud. Each token brings them closer, until all that’s left is for Ace to reveal he’s the one behind the messages — and hope Benji wants something more too.

This story started out sweet, and I really enjoyed the excitement of the secret admirer notes and gifts. But as it went on, the charm faded for me — the pacing slowed, the plot became repetitive, and I found my interest slipping. I honestly almost stopped reading, but I didn’t want to waste the time I’d already invested. I did like the pep talks from friends, though the way everything had to be spelled out in such extreme detail felt unnecessary. Ace’s behaviour around Benji’s brother also struck me as odd and at times dismissive of Benji, which didn’t help the emotional balance of the story. There were definitely emotions and feelings throughout, but overall the middle dragged too much for me to stay fully engaged. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Sweet-Talking Silas by D.J. Jamison 4 of 5 stars

Sweet-Talking Silas

Sweet-Talking Silas by D.J. Jamison
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Silas, a wedding planner who no longer believes in happily‑ever‑afters, agrees to one match just to stop the Matchmaking Mamas’ meddling. Then he meets Bryson — charming, romantic, and unexpectedly perfect. Everything crashes when a man who looks exactly like Bryson shows up to a consult with his bride… until Silas learns Bryson has an identical twin. Now he has to decide whether the man he fell for is worth risking his heart again.

This story is a full romcom‑worthy rollercoaster, and I loved every twist. The connection between Silas and Bryson is instant, but what really makes the romance shine is the way Bryson gives Silas the space to reach his own conclusions — knowing that pushing too hard would only send him running. The emotions run high throughout as both men, especially Silas, work through the fears and heartbreaks that still shape their lives. Their relationship feels earned in the best way: hard‑won, tender, and absolutely deserved after everything Silas has been through. A charming, emotional read with all the feelings you want from a romcom‑style romance. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Hounding Hank by D.J. Jamison 3 of 5 stars

Hounding Hank

Hounding Hank by D.J. Jamison
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Jamie finally gets a match from the Matchmaking Mamas: Hank, who seems perfect over text and shares his love of dogs. Their first date looks promising — until Hank arrives expecting a woman. The mix‑up leaves them both scrambling, but a real friendship starts to grow. As Jamie’s attraction deepens, he can’t help wondering if Hank might still be his Prince Charming… or if he’s barking up the wrong tree.

Jamie and Hank start with a warm, easy friendship built on their shared love of dogs, and that connection becomes the heart of the story. I especially enjoyed how people around them began to question whether they were really just friends, while Jamie stayed determined to let any shift between them be Hank’s choice, not something he pushed for. There are emotions and tender moments throughout, but I did find myself wishing the book had gone deeper into themes like fluid sexuality and demisexuality. Even so, their growing bond is sweet, steady, and genuinely enjoyable to follow. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Meddling With Maverick by D.J. Jamison 3 of 5 stars

Meddling With Maverick

Meddling With Maverick by D.J. Jamison
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Damon loves meddling in Maverick’s love life, especially after a prank pushes Maverick into dates arranged by the Matchmaking Mamas. Damon “accidentally” sabotages them… purely out of neighbourly duty, of course. When Maverick challenges him to be a better date, Damon ends up in the hot seat — and realises he might actually want something genuine with him. What starts as teasing turns into the possibility of real kisses, real connection, and maybe a lifetime of meddling together.

Damon and Maverick spend so much time pranking and provoking each other that it’s obvious there’s something deeper simmering underneath — their constant back‑and‑forth hides an undeniable connection. I did find Damon’s bi‑awakening a little clunky and felt it could have been handled more smoothly, but overall I still enjoyed the story. Their chemistry, the humour in their rivalry, and the way their feelings finally break through make this a fun, engaging read. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Daddy's Direction by Allysa Hart by Rayanna Jamison 3 of 5 stars

Daddy's Direction

Daddy's Direction by Allysa Hart by Rayanna Jamison
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Bain has lived a charmed life—wealthy from birth, luckier still with a lottery win and lifelong friendships. But the one thing he’s always wanted is Jazz, the woman who once surrendered to him in a night of unforgettable passion. Years later, she returns to his club, vulnerable and craving the control only he can offer. Despite their undeniable chemistry, Jazz believes their worlds are too far apart to ever truly align. Bain, however, is determined to prove that the greatest stroke of luck in his life wasn’t money or success—it was falling in love with her.

I enjoyed this story with the overwhelmed Jazz who is barely holding on and Bain who falls even more in love with her as he gets to know her more and also meets her children. A lot of feelings and emotions as she fought the concept of having and asking for help. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MF story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLG dynamic.

Review: The Snuggle is Real by D.J. Jamison 3 of 5 stars

The Snuggle is Real

The Snuggle is Real by D.J. Jamison
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

When Ford's ex-wife lands in rehab, he gets a surprise for the holidays. A 7-year-old girl who's got no place to go. He loves his former stepdaughter Charlie like she's his own, but he has no idea how to give her everything she needs. Unless he finally lets go of his pride and accept help from the new director of the Holiday Hope Foundation. Mason West is eager to lend support however he can. And when Ford lets him, he goes above and beyond. He'd never been into men before, but Mason is so sweet, so giving, so perfectly sized to snuggle in against his holiday sweater. Maybe if he can figure out what all this means, he can gain more than a daughter for the holidays.

This was a sweet Christmas story of how Ford found love and gained a family too. I did think the change to being with a man wasn't covered much as was the decision to leave Charlie with Ford by his ex wife. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Daddy's Rule by Allysa Hart by Rayanna Jamison 3 of 5 stars

Daddy's Rule

Daddy's Rule by Allysa Hart by Rayanna Jamison
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Five Daddy Doms and a submissive hit the jackpot and become millionaires overnight. It sounds like the start to a bad joke, but that’s exactly what happened to them. Opening their club, The Penthouse, was an obvious choice. After all, what else would a bunch of kinky friends do with all that cash? Rent-A-Daddy is a bit more unorthodox, but it feels like a stroke of genius when Nyla comes sweeping back into our lives, devastated by her recent nasty divorce and in desperate need of the structure our brand new service was designed to provide. He's always enjoyed having Nyla over his knee, but this time is different as he wants to be her forever Daddy. Now to convince his stubborn girl that she wants him just as bad.

It was an ok story but mostly covered the lottery win, the club, the creation of Club rent-a-daddy and the failure of Nyla's marriage. Easy to read and understand. This was a MF story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLG dynamic.

Review: Grinch Kisses by D.J. Jamison 3 of 5 stars

Grinch Kisses (Christmas Falls #1)

Grinch Kisses by D.J. Jamison
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Griff organises the Christmas festival at Christmas Falls every year and the shine wears off of Christmas when you live it 24/7 so he is locally known as Grinch. Then his sister Jess brings a fake boyfriend called Logan who has to stay with Griff due to space issues. Keeping his hands off the tall, broad and handsome Logan is increasingly difficult until Logan makes Jess confess the deception to Griff. Then the two men who are perfect for each other can be themselves.

This was a sweet Christmas story with all the necessary ingredients for Griff to have his life changed for the better in many ways and for Logan and Griff to get the kind of HEA they could only ever dream of. I loved how overbearing Greiff and Jess's mother was - typical of many mothers. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.
