Review: Billionaire Daddy by B.T. Wolfe 3 of 5 stars

Billionaire Daddy

Billionaire Daddy by B.T. Wolfe
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Alex, a charming LA nightclub owner, believes all billionaires are arrogant jerks. His world flips when Derek, a handsome, older billionaire with salt-and-pepper hair, becomes a regular patron and reveals a ruthless, manipulative side. Despite despising him, Alex unexpectedly falls for Derek, discovering that beneath his arrogance lies a calculated plan—and feelings he didn't expect to develop for someone he hates.

This was a sweet short story as Alex and Derek worked out their relationship and the limitations. I'm not sure about the Daddy bit from the title, as that was not apparent in the story. Easy to feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: In Too Deep by Blake R. Wolfe 4 of 5 stars

In Too Deep (Cherry Estates Billionaire Daddies #3)

In Too Deep by Blake R. Wolfe
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Kevin is the billionaire CEO of his own software company but is miserable as at the end of college he lost the only man he'd ever loved. He's miserable, still heartbroken, and pushes everyone away eventually. In a bar Levi appears, and Kevin's heart nearly stops beating. Levi is the spitting image of Kevin's ex-lover but when he tries to leave the way he sings and plays that guitar… he's under his spell before he even knows what happened. Kevin never expected Levi to single him out in the crowd and buy him a drink. He’s Kevin's ex-lover’s son. That should have been enough to convince him to stay away. But when Levi plays his guitar, I can’t help but fall in love all over again. Love is easy with Levi. In an instant, Kevin is transported back to his college days. They spend long, hot nights in each other’s arms and Kevin can’t get enough of him. He even calls him Daddy just to mess with him, but I wouldn’t mind making him my Boy. Imagine his surprise when he finally agrees to meet Levi's parents and standing there in the doorway was his ex-lover from all those years ago with his wife, the woman he left him for. He hasn’t forgotten him, and he’s the only thing standing between him and his happily ever after. But he won’t give up on Levi, even if it means fighting his ex-lover to get him.

This was the last book in the series. Levi and his silly little songs made me laugh though Kevin's focus and angst on the past made me want to shake him. Levi was a breath of fresh air. I was glad they all behaved like adults at the end. I did find Levi's clueness around social media strange given his age. Easy to read and feel. This is an MM story with mature content.

Review: Deep in the Sheets by Blake R. Wolfe 3 of 5 stars

Deep in the Sheets (Cherry Estates Billionaire Daddies #2)

Deep in the Sheets by Blake R. Wolfe
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Jax was lucky and got an internship at the biggest accounting firm in Boston and is now the personal assistant to Timothy Hark, billionaire, CEO, and one of the most handsome men. He is a jerk, has a girlfriend and Jax can't stop gawking at him and fantasising that he is his Daddy. Then at the office Christmas party, their strictly professional relationship takes a turn when he drags Jax into an empty conference room by his collar to kiss him and call him his Boy. They can't keep their hands off each other. Then, Tim’s ex-girlfriend walks through the door, saying she wants to marry him. Jax could lose him forever if he says yes but if he tells anyone about their forbidden romance, he can kiss his degree, job and new Daddy goodbye.

It was a strange story as it started with a bullying and abuse of power relationship but then ended with gentleness and love. I get that Tim was emotionally stunted but it was a bit of a quick change for someone who was so aggressive. Jax was missing some character development as for most of the story he was just a sex toy. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: The Deep End by Blake R. Wolfe 3 of 5 stars

The Deep End (Cherry Estates Billionaire Daddies #1)

The Deep End by Blake R. Wolfe
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Cliff knows that his son's best friend Bryce should be off limits, but seeing him in short shorts while cleaning the pool tests his self-control. Cliff is newly divorced after his wife discovered that he preferred gay porn to sleeping with her and is determined to turn their son against him. Bryce comes to Cliff's aid one evening and after a drunken kiss desire blooms between them. Before long Cliff is his Daddy now, and it’s his job to take care of him. But nobody can know about them. When his ex-wife catches them together she issues an ultimatum - end it or ruin them both.

This was a nice story but it was a little rushed in places and very strange in others. The rush was how quickly the divorce happened and just how happy Cliff was to give her everything. The strange was just how well Cliff's son took his relationship with his best friend and how hard he worked to fix it. I'm not convinced that Cliff was much of a Daddy as just someone who liked to spend money to spoil his boy. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BSDM-like Daddy/boy dynamic.

Review: Dragon Shadow by Alicia Wolfe 5 of 5 stars

Dragon Shadow Dragon Shadow by Alicia Wolfe
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Many years ago the Fae came to the human world and subsequently that world changed. Jade McClaren and her sister Ruby make their living stealing magical items from bad guys in New York and ensuring they are sold on to good people only. However Jade is not just human – she is also a half shifter. During one of those thefts she attracts the attention of both a number of bad people and one of the Fae-Knights (Davril Stormguard). Davril is currently on a mission to get to the bottom of something which could destroy the Fae-Lord (and maybe the world as we know it). Jade might know the secret to stopping it, but she wants nothing to do with him as he is basically the same as a cop (especially as he handcuffs her and then puts her in prison). However she has a problem – she needs to work with him so she can saver her sister and hopefully clear her own name at the same time. During this they will encounter demons, vampires, witches and worse things – can they learn to trust each other and save everyone?

WOW – LOVED this story. It was full on action throughout the story interspersed with more tender moments where emotions were more involved. The magical elements were well described and felt that they were necessary in the story and were relevant and not just there for the hell of it. Everything was well written and clear and easy to understand and feel. The trust between them were well written and it was nice to see it build, then because it was still fragile have a few hiccups, then build again (very much like real life). Now I need for the author to write the next instalment in the story as I want to know both what happens in the story AND what happens next between Jade and Davril – surely they will become romantically involved at some point in the future (please!!).
