The writing was smooth, emotional, and easy to follow, making their growing bond genuinely engaging. I did find the name change from Auslin to Vanra confusing, and the cliffhanger ending wasn’t welcome, leaving me unsure about continuing to the next book. And Auslin walking back through the gate again made little sense to me — I still don’t understand why he was so distracted in that moment. Still, the blend of romance, fate, and time‑twisting mystery was compelling, and the emotional depth between the two men gave the story real heart. This was an MM story with mature content.
