Review: Lucas by Jacki James 4 of 5 stars

Lucas (Blue Collar Daddies, #2)

Lucas by Jacki James
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Benjamin Harper's ex might have wanted to be a Daddy but he certainly wasn't and so being single he thought he could work on his late father's motorcycle but he has no idea what he is doing and so needs help. Lucas Vaughn has his own business customising cycles and was only missing a boy to call his own until Benjamin literally crashes into his life. Will his knight on shining armour turn out to be a dud like his ex? Or could Lucas be the Daddy he had always dreamed of?

I loved this story with the protective Lucas who is trying to protect Benjamin who was impulsive and had very little self-preservation skills. Their relationship started from a need to protect and that was followed by a need to cherish and love as they became more involved in each other's lives. Easy to read, feel and understand. Includes an MM relationship containing mature content and a BSDM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Ryder by Jacki James 4 of 5 stars

Ryder (Blue Collar Daddies, #1)

Ryder by Jacki James
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Brennan Taylor has a meltdown in a local hardware store over a busted pipe under the kitchen sink but then local tradesman and Daddy Ryder Davis sees him there and offers to help him. Before long fixing Brennan’s plumbing turns into fixing his employment situation, and then right on to fixing his single status.

I enjoyed this story as Brennan and Ryder met, solved problems for each other and became Daddy and his boy as their respect and love for each other grew. I loved that it wasn't all a one-way thing as Brennan was able to improve Ryder's business for him proving that their relationship was a true partnership. Includes an MM relationship containing mature content and a BSDM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Trust Him by Elouise East 4 of 5 stars

Trust Him (Boys, Daddies, Snuggles & More, #2)

Trust Him by Elouise East
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Toby has been searching for a Daddy for so long by after being hurt by a man who was supposed to be his Daddy and protect him he is scared to trust, has never stepped inside a kink club and has no idea how to search for someone. Then via DaddyG's blog, he starts to talk to DaddyG's boy who encourages him and promises to support him as he fills in a profile on the new app. Ollie is a Daddy and every boy he tried to have a relationship it fails after a few weeks. He has so much to give the right person and is so lonely but is beginning to give up ever finding the boy for him. Then DaddyG announces a new dating app and so he signs up immediately. Within days he is matched with a younger boy and after talking online for a short time they agree to meet. When Toby turns up with DaddyG and his boy in tow Ollie doesn't know what to think but after he finds out what Toby has been through he is ready to lay himself bare to help Toby to trust him. How can Ollie help Toby let go of the past to give them the future they both deserve?

I loved this story with Toby struggling to trust, Ollie trying to do everything he can to be trustworthy and the clear need they both have to communicate clearly. I loved the way that the community came together to protect Toby from his ex and that they highlighted any club that refused to protect others from him. I loved the sections at the end where we got to understand how their relationship would develop over time and that they really did have a HEA which was well deserved. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with a BSDM-like DDLB relationship with a little light punishment and some lovely rewards.

Review: Daddy's Fiery Pets: A Dragon Pet Play Tail by Amarra Skye 3 of 5 stars

Daddy's Fiery Pets: A Dragon Pet Play Tail. Featuring a May-December grumpy sunshine MM romance. (Pet Play by the Lake)

Daddy's Fiery Pets: A Dragon Pet Play Tail by Amarra Skye
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Riley is a dragon and just wants to stop being lonely and get over his ex. When he sees Tristan who is also a dragon he is mesmerised by how exuberant he is and how loved he is by his billionaire Daddy Evan. But they seem to want to get to know him more and he is definitely attracted to them. Evan thought one dragon was enough but after Tristan makes friends with Riley he starts to think that maybe he could cope with two dragons.

This was a sweet story about how the Pet Play at the Lake event connected Evan and Tristan with Riley and gave them a happy ever after. I liked that they went to areas nearby so that they could experience more and I loved the thought of a rollercoaster being used to make a dragon feel as if they were flying. Easy to read and understand. This is an MMM romance containing mature content featuring BSDM-like pet play, DDLB and D/s.

Review: Out of the Shadows by Ali Ryecart 4 of 5 stars

Out of the Shadows (Silver Foxes #3)

Out of the Shadows by Ali Ryecart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Daniel Russo thought that firing Cosmo Stern was the best decision he had ever made as he was cocky and overconfident. Now five years later and working as a troubleshooter he is the last man he wanted to find on the team he is leading. He might have been captivating but Daniel is straight so nothing will happen there. Cosmo has never forgiven Daniel Russo for almost wrecking his career. When a blazing row leads to a kiss between them Cosmo is left stunned, confused and wanting far more from Daniel but he will not be the man used by a straight man for an experiment and then dropped.

This story had plenty of angst, was very steamy and passionate, and had a suitable make-or-break confrontation that needed the help of some friends to try and help fix the situation (although it might not have appeared that way all of the time). I loved the team-building exercise and the failures which were fairly spectacular. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story containing mature content.

Review: Boy Riding by Sue Brown 3 of 5 stars

Boy Riding (Bearytales in the Wood #5)

Boy Riding by Sue Brown
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Red was rescued from one of the Kingdom water theme parks and ends up in foster care at the Brenner brothers' cabin. He feels out of place, out of sorts and just angry that he swapped one prison for another. Being with happy people just makes it worse so he hates where he is and everyone around him. Harry doesn't know what to make of this new arrival - he is rude to his family which just annoys everyone. He only seems to be happy when he is in the stables which makes him Harry's problem according to the family but he doesn't know what to do with him as they expect him to be Red's Daddy and he doesn't want a boy and just wants to care for the horses and think about his future. What will it take for Harry and Red to realise they were made for each other?

This was a nice story if you can ignore how angry and rude Red was to start with and how hard they both fought to not want to be together only to change their tune and then want to be together at the end. Easy to read and feel although I think you will get a frustrated as me. This is a MM story containing mature content with a BSDM-like DDLB relationship.

Review: Take My Breath Away by Ali Ryecart 4 of 5 stars

Take My Breath Away (Silver Foxes, #2)

Take My Breath Away by Ali Ryecart
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

On a Friday night out James finds his best friend's young executive assistant blind drunk and slumped over a table in the corner of a bar and so feels that he needs to rescue him. Yes, he can give him all the help he needs to become the man he wants to be but not himself as he does not do commitment. Perry has always fantasised about James who is a sexy silver fox but he can only be his Knight in Shining Armour in his fantasies as he knows that he lives his life free of ties and commitment.

I enjoyed this story which was a slow burn with lots of angst. In the end, it was a sweet story with James determined to treat Perry right by not touching him even taking him in as a lodger when he couldn't find anywhere acceptable to live nearby to doing what he could to support his dreams for a new career. I loved that he was able to convince himself that he was doing "the right thing" when really he wasn't. When he cracked he still fooled himself that he was incapable of long-term commitment until it became apparent that he had to because he was unable to live without Perry. I did find one thing that I did find impossible - James' job would mean that Perry would need a security clearance in order to live with him let alone anything else otherwise James would lose his own. Easy to read, feel and understand it does have a HEA you just have to keep reading until it happens. This is an MM romance with some mature content with a little light bondage.
