Phoenix was born and destined to be a Hunter and has lived by strictly following the mantra to never tell anyone who and what she is. That has meant she has lived on her own and not got attached to anyone she meets. Then she meets Isaiah who makes her long for a normal life. However, he has secrets of his own. Can they have a life together? Isiah is actually a vampire who has sworn to do whatever it takes to protect her especially when it becomes clear that she is now being hunted by hunters. When they both find out the lies that they have each told each other can they walk away or is their attraction something worth fighting for?
This was a lovely story that had lots of angst as the characters fought with their own emotional demons before working through their attraction for each other as well as the danger that was hunting Phoenix. Can they both survive and have the HEA they both deserve? Well written and very enjoyable I definitely found I couldn't stop reading this after I had got into the story. Does contain some sexual content.
