Review: Alien Protector's Rescued Bride by Juno Wells 4 of 5 stars

Alien Protector's Rescued Bride (Draconian Warriors, #5)Alien Protector's Rescued Bride by Juno Wells
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Human Daisy was abducted from Earth by some aquatic aliens. She has struggled all of the time against her captors and is starting to realise that there is no one to come and rescue her. Some winged demons (or at least they look like demons) are fighting the aquatics and it is not clear if it is a rescue or a capture. Draconian Warrior Darnok is bigger than all of the other warriors and so everyone notices the size and not the person or personality. All he has are battles and saving the more worthy males for the females that they are finding. He meets Daisy and everything changes - suddenly he is determined to fight everything and everyone to save her and make her life comfortable.

I liked this story with Darnok having to accept that he had value (as do all men) and that it is wrong to think of them as disposable. I enjoyed Daisy and her attitude to life. It was a lovely story that had lots of merits as it changed the way that the Draconians were thought of and that they ALL had value (a bit like the fact that it is also true in real life ). Easy to read and understand. Contains some mature content.

Review: Alien Hero's Claimed Bride by Juno Wells 3 of 5 stars

Alien Hero's Claimed Bride (Draconian Warriors, #4)

Alien Hero's Claimed Bride by Juno Wells
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Human Cassandra was abducted from Earth and finds herself in another sector of space where the Draconian warriors obey their queens and the Draconian queens are infected with a parasite which feeds on pain and so they are unbearably cruel to their men and even their children. Cassie is about to be sold in a market when she sees warrior Mathadar who immediately answers her call for help and is determined to keep her free and by his side. Can she go against the physically stronger Draconian queens and help the males to a better quality of life while getting back to somewhere safer?

I really enjoyed this story with the Draconian males having blind obedience to the females (queens) and the way that Cassandra taught them that it should be a partnership based on love, caring and mutual trust as opposed to the current situation of blind obedience, pain and heartbreak. All the while she was working to get them back to her own sector of space and away from the toxic environment with the parasites invading the queens. I loved their relationship and the way that it was a delight and a voyage of discovery for Mathadar and the other males. Easy to read and understand it is a story for mature readers only.

Review: Alien Commander's Reluctant Bride by Juno Wells 3 of 5 stars

Alien Commander's Reluctant Bride (Draconian Warriors, #3)

Alien Commander's Reluctant Bride by Juno Wells
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Human Kearney is with her younger sister Kendra and they have both signed contracts to take a Draconian as a mate but she can't focus on that right now - their dowry helped feed their family for a year but they really need to go to Earth and rescue them but getting supplies to them. Draconian warrior and the Commander of her crew Tabor watches her carefully but she doesn't think he knows what she is doing right now. He is gorgeous and definitely the focus of all of her fantasies, but for now, she has to focus on her family. Tabor is obsessed with caring for the sister queens until they chose their mates and just like Kearney is protective of her younger sister so he is the same for his younger brother who is in the crew finishing his transition. They are not like the other human queens as they wear overalls, eating ration bars, sleep on the ground and work hard. He is attracted to Kearney and is determined that no one else will warm her bed - he just wonders if/when that will happen and expects danger from all corners.

I really liked Tabor who was a perfect example of a Draconian warrior who was clearly in love with his queen. But I did not like Kearney as she kept so much to herself and was misleading at times which made her feel untrustworthy. Thankfully it all got sorted out but it was definitely touch and go for a while. Easy to read and understand. Contains some mature content neat to the end of the story.

Review: Alien Captain's Claimed Bride by Juno Wells 3 of 5 stars

Alien Captain's Claimed Bride (Draconian Warriors, #2)

Alien Captain's Claimed Bride by Juno Wells
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Human Stacy was the medic on a ship full of Draconian Warriors on a ship commanded by taciturn captain Meric who had been badly abused by the Draconian Quen who was driven by her onboard parasite. Meric was polite but that was all as he was hesitant to draw any conclusion on the behaviour of any human queen. Both Stacy and Meric appreciate each other from afar as it is going to take time for real trust to be built especially for Meric - can he learn to trust her with his deepest secrets?

I enjoyed this story and it was great to see the extent to which he would go to protect his family. This story gave quite a few new details to the entire series and that seemed a little late in the series to give some more basic level information. Easy to read and understand.

Review: Alien Warrior's Captive Bride by Juno Wells 3 of 5 stars

Alien Warrior's Captive Bride (Draconian Warriors, #1)

Alien Warrior's Captive Bride by Juno Wells
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Human Hope was on her way to becoming part of the Intergalactic brides program when pirates captured her ship. Unable to stand by and ignore the treatment of the brides she is jettisoned into a pod which is then picked up by Draconian warrior Larok who is standing guard. Recognising that she would be killed by the queen he risks both himself and his small son in order to save her and keep her hidden. Keeping her safe will need battling against the fleet, destroying a planet and stealing a wormhole device. By the time things are finished, he will either have died in a glorious battle or end up mated to Lucy.

I enjoy the story in that it was great to see the development of Lucy and Larok as they both stood up and grew into their roles. Lucy was awesome and really led them into another sector, into a joined-up community, a new home and a firm foundation for the future. It was a good read that was simple to understand. Contains some sexual content.
