Review: Married Since Forever by Megan Linden 3 of 5 stars

Married Since Forever (Just Married #3)

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Best friends Shawn Kelly and Kyle Kelly married years ago before Kyle disappeared abroad. In desperation and with so much hurt he sent a message asking for a divorce so he could try and move on with his life yet knowing that the one person who could get him to do impulsive things was Kyle. After Kyle returned he almost expected everything to not have changed at all, but he knew that Shawn would be hurt by what happened but had some hope they could resolve their issues. However, being in love might be too much for their friendship.

I enjoyed the story and the role that their grandmother played in that (although I did wonder why she had kept so many secrets that had made their situation so much worse between them). The premise that they were best friends but then Kyle immediately ran abroad didn't fit into anything that was the behaviour of a friend and so the story fell apart a bit there. An enjoyable book to read if you are disconnected from reality in places. This is an MM story with mature content.

Review: Married for Now by Megan Linden 4 of 5 stars

Married for Now (Just Married #2)

Married for Now by Megan Linden
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Tommy Medina left his past behind and started over so was a few months into his fellowship and even though his hands were full he had a crush on a hot surgeon so life was good for him. Then he received news that his visa was invalid and he was about to lose everything until his crush came to rescue him. Brandon Sherwood wasn't exactly sure why he was so determined to help Tommy especially as he was about to risk it all for someone who was almost a stranger. To look at them they were total opposites, but as their married life progressed, it turned out they fit better than either of them could ever expect. If only everything else was so easy.

I enjoyed this story of the two doctors who did not know each other apart from by reputation and passing in corridors but after one man's generosity had the perfect gift of love and affection. I loved the way that respect for each other was replaced by passion and then affection. I liked that there was no imbalance in their relationship even though Brandon was older and more senior. The twist with the nasty ex turning up was a nice one. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.

Review: Married Before Christmas by Megan Linden 4 of 5 stars

Married Before Christmas (Just Married, #1)

Married Before Christmas by Megan Linden
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Daniels Collins could count on his biological father to make his life miserable and was trying to ruin Ruth's Children's Hospital but after his death, there was a chance for Daniel to take over the family trust that controlled the hospital but the main condition was that he had to be married (and he doesn't even have a boyfriend let alone a husband). He did have a best friend who had saved him more than once over the years. Noa Alana had a comfortable job in a company he helped create but was feeling restless. Daniel coming to him with a bizarre idea wasn't the change he was waiting for but he would never say no to Daniel. A fake marriage could bring out something new between them, but the question was - were they ready to risk their friendship for the unknown?

I enjoyed this story with the two best friends who were there for each other and had so much potential between them for something much more. The family politics were suitably vicious but I liked the way that Daniels was able to handle them. Noa appeared a bit like a doormat to start with as it was obvious that he would do anything for Daniels but in fact, as the story developed it became obvious that he loved Daniels and that was the reason that he was so agreeable. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.
