Witch Kelly Holloway likes a good time and so her coven added an extra year onto her wardship and so she is surprised when she finds out she has inherited Hollow House. But then she realises that it is not all fun as she has to take in two roommates - a snarky vampire in the basement and a new boss who doesn't find her tardiness charming. Plus the sentient house is hell-bent on thwarting her love life. Then it gets weird when the gargoyle statue that she has been messing with for months turns into a hot man called Ronun who is not impressed with her considering all the fun outfits she has dressed him in. But the house likes him. Kelly's current problem is that she needs to find her family's missing spellbook so she can figure out how to rein in the house, impress her boss and break the curse that turns Ronun to turn to stone for half of the day.

Wow - Kelly was so focussed on the fun I was amazed that she could actually keep breathing at times! Ronun was a seriously hot guy who was also seriously into Kelly too. I liked their love story and the complication of the curse. The ending was great and I loved the way that everything ended although they did have to get through a number of trials and complications to get there. Easy to read and understand. Contains some mature content.

Doreen and Mack are travelling to Rosemoor for a celebratory evening but just as they near the building everything is flipped when Doreen can only watch in horror as Mack is shot in front of her. Horrified she vows to solve the case as fast as she can before the shooter tries for another attempt. Mack has been shot before but not in front of Doreen and she wants to catch the shooter before he is even healed - the question in his mind is whether they really wanted him, after all with these cold cases she has her own fair share of enemies. Doreen will not be deterred and together with her trusty team of animals at her side, she is determined to keep Mack safe.

This case is personal for Doreen but also for the residents in Rosemoor who are determined to help in any way that they can. Doreen definitely had her work cut out to reign them in at times but that did at times through their knowledge of the area help. Tenacious as always, Doreen's dogged pursuit definitely didn't endear her to some, but her unique style of questioning definitely got her some answers. I loved the way that Mack's brother Nick was so prominent in this story and that he could see that it might be ignored or denied, but Doreen and Mack really did care for each other - the question is when will they finally accept the inevitable? Easy to read, feel and understand it was easy to be swept into the mystery of who did what and why to work it at the same pace as her.

Human Lucy Morgan left Ashtown, Georgia 10 years ago planning never to return but now she is back until she meets shifter Mason Blackwood who wants her even though he is delusional and thinks he is a werewolf. Mason is not sure how much longer he has as alpha of the Blackwood pack as he needs a mate to balance him - then he meets Lucy and realises that she is his mate and is determined that nothing will keep them apart - there is just one complication - the pack's deadliest enemy is determined to kill her before he can claim her.

This was a nice shifter story with the drama of the pack enemy and the hesitancy of Lucy to the belief that shifters existed and of being claimed. Mason was a really good guy who was very patient and was determined not to rush her no matter how it affected him. I found Lucy a little strange but at least she made the right choices for both of them in the end. Easy to read. Contains some mature content.
