Abby Wentworth never regretted abandoning her corporate career to adopt her orphaned niece and run a maternity home. It was on the face of it was a sweet story but as I read it I became increasingly irritated by Abby and her insistence on their return to Earth without any thought for what the girls that she was responsible for actually wanted (and they were mostly consenting adults with free will and not idiots). I loved Hrebec and how he was trying to do the right thing even if he needed a kick from someone for him to see that he had an opportunity to have it all. Pleasant to read. Contains a lot of explicit sexual content.
