My rating: 4 of 5 stars
As the omega owner of the most popular bar in Oak Grove, Justin meets lots of people every day. He chats them up, serves them drinks and listens to their problems. What he doesn't ever do is truly connect with any of them. Damien is an up-and-coming in the sport of curling. As the skip for the Oak Grove Curling Club, he's making headlines as an Olympic hopeful. But when his team gets into a fight at The Fallen Nut with some drunk hockey players, he suffers a wrist injury that may ruin his chances for a serious career for good. Justin has a low tolerance for drunk alphas and even less patience for the jerks who start fights with his customers. But when an all-out brawl causes serious injuries to his favourite customer, he feels extra pressure to help Damien through his recovery. Though their friendship is born from guilt and obligation, it quickly blossoms into a deep connection that can't be denied.
This was a sweet story set in the bar and how Justin and Damien met. I loved how their relationship went through a rocky patch but that doesn't last long as their relationship could not be denied. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse including MPREG.
