Review: Dragon's Find by Ava Hunter by Celeste King 3 of 5 stars

Dragon's Find (Dragon Warriors of Kirtan Book 1)

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Harper Daniels is working at a Comic-Con where all the guests seem to have gone to town dressing up as their favourite characters. So when she has to handle one of them called Kiljak going too far as he starts claiming that she is the woman for him to spend his life with, it goes a bit far. Kiljak and his crew have been sucked into a wormhole and dropped into Earth's galaxy. Their ship detects genetics that suggests that human women are genetic matches and could be their mates which would save their race. But feisty Harpe is not giving in easy and but he refuses to give up the chase. When Harper is taken Kiljak will destroy anyone who threatens her. Can he convince her that she is the only human he wants and that he is worthy of her commitment or will waging war mean he loses her forever?

This was a sweet story but a little lacking in detail. I did enjoy it as a light read. It was easy to read and understand. Harper was definitely a sassy woman who was also far more intelligent than many seem to have given her credit for. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Alien Embrace : A Limited Edition Collection of Sci Fi Alien Romances by Milly Taiden 3 of 5 stars

Alien Embrace : A Limited Edition Collection of Sci Fi Alien Romances

Alien Embrace : A Limited Edition Collection of Sci Fi Alien Romances by Milly Taiden by Ava Hunter by Margo Bond Collins
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

A good value collection of alien stories. Some good ones interspersed with some ok ones. A good introduction to the authors as well as their writing. Think of it as a good value taster menu of alien story focused writers. Can contain some violence as well as sexual content.

Suddenly Taken by Milly Taiden and Ava Hunter - 4*
Jo was strong and festy, knowing exactly what she does (and does not) want whereas Chuck is just gentle. A quick read which left me saddened as I wanted to know more.

Caged Beast by Honey Phillips - 3*
Good characters on a prison planet with lots of hints as to what will come later. A reasonable start to a series that makes you want to read more.

Skoar by Ava Ross - 4*
This story was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster with instant love and finite time to change.

Rescued from the Depths by Ella Maven - 3*
A quick read that has two souls meeting in an unlikely place with a lifetime to sort out all of the details.

Earth 4040 by Eva Priest - 3*
The universe can wait
A prison planet that started with chaos but ended with contentment. This was definitely just a start and there must be plenty of stories to tell about the other characters mentioned in this one. A promising start that might be just enough to spark our curiosity.

The Recruit by Danielle Kaheaku - 3*
Wow - cat aliens. An interesting concept that I had never seen nor thought about. I think this might be well worth exploring by finding other books by the author.

Drasher by Harpie Alexa - 3*
Lots of emotions, actions and heroism in order to start the addiction process. An interesting light read that has definitely sparked my curiosity.

First Warrior by Tia Didmon - 3*
A great story that has demonstrated a talent for relating detail in relatively few words. A pleasant read.

Ice Planet Prison by Alexis B. Osborne - 3*
This was an example of a strong female lead who is not over the top as part of being strong. An enjoyable story.

Review: Dragon Flame by Ava Hunter 4 of 5 stars

Dragon Flame (Desert Dragons Book 1)

Dragon Flame by Ava Hunter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Ava normally watches a monitor all night but it takes a turn for the best after she sees a meteor enter the Earth's atmosphere. However, when she goes out to inspect the crater all she finds is a strange and confused man. after being abruptly awoken from cryo-sleep, alien warrior Krom discovers that the ship has been damaged and he has to do a spacewalk to try to fix the thrusters. However, it gets much worse when he crash lands on Earth. The Earth woman he meets says she is a scientist which sounds great - he desperately needs her help to find one of Earth's rare and dangerous substances so he can fix the ship and his crew can travel home. That mission is endangered when he discovers that Ava is his fated mate and so now he finds he needs to protect her from a biker gang, a crime lord and even worse navy SEALS while also trying to protect his heart. A dragon can only resist for so long before he has to claim his mate.

I enjoyed this story where he seemed to have to fight anyone and everyone in order to protect Ava while also trying to stick to his mission. I enjoyed the various super skills that he had thanks to being a dragon plus an alien which certainly made his life much easier on Earth. I did find the section where he showed the spaceship to Ava a little strange as I can't imagine any captain accepting a human being brought onboard without permission let alone shown around without some kind of assurances in person first. It was easy to read and understand plus the story was easy to follow. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Seduced by the Alien Dragon: A Fated Mates Sci Fi Romance by Ava Hunter by Milly Taiden 4 of 5 stars

Seduced by the Alien Dragon: A Fated Mates Sci Fi Romance (Sci Fi Alien Dragon Book 3)Seduced by the Alien Dragon: A Fated Mates Sci Fi Romance by Milly Taiden by Ava Hunter
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Addison feels completely out of place at the teachers gala but is there just to try and get the grant that is up for grabs in order to help her students. However, after the event is interrupted she wakes up in a spaceship after being abducted. The hot alien who abducted sends her hormones into meltdown before they land and he takes her to his boss who offers her a deal to teach his three children in return for a fortune that she can spend on helping her students back home. Xurid is the Vrilk mercenary and is an ex-Stalker working for the Regency. Generally what his boss wants he gets so Zurid has no problems going to Earth to get Addison even though it breaks all sorts of Regency rules. Xurid could care less how mad the Regency is with him but what about his boss as even touch he was told to look and not touch he is having a really hard time keeping his hands off auburn-haired beauty Addison. He suspects that she is his fated mate it is just a question as to if he will create even more enemies to have her and will she leave the only world she knew forever to be with him?

I really enjoyed this story which delved into the world that Addison lived in on Earth, the world of Xurid's boss and the world that they could have if they committed to being together. I loved her interaction with the children and how well she seemed to be able to teach them even though she was from Earth. I loved the way they were drawn to each other even though being mates was not on their agenda. Easy to read and understand as well as feel the emotions from the characters. Contains some sexual content.

Review: Tempted by the Alien Dragon by Ava Hunter by Milly Taiden 3 of 5 stars

Tempted by the Alien Dragon (Sci Fi Alien Dragon, #2)Tempted by the Alien Dragon by Ava Hunter by Milly Taiden
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Prime Stalker Therias is dispatched to bring back a missing alien but on the way, his shuttle is threatened by human intergalactic bounty hunter Cynthie. After disabling her craft he discovers that she also has a child bounty on board, He discovers that Cynthie drives him wild and that confusingly he wants her, but as she is his prisoner that is off the agenda. Cynthie finds it hard to believe that Therias is now asking her to help him with the child and as tempting as it is to keep pressing his buttons she does relent and help out. By the time they find the missing alien and his mate they've created a family unit. Can Therias fight for the family he has grown to love or will everything turn to space dust?

I enjoyed this story with the incredibly sassy Cynthie and the strong and determined Therias. I loved the banter that existed between them and the way that eventually he had to think hard about what he actually wanted and if he was prepared to stop blindly doing what the Regency wanted. That way he was able to have a pleasant life with his mate and instant family. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Review: Chosen by the Alien Dragon by Ava Hunter by Milly Taiden 4 of 5 stars

Chosen by the Alien Dragon Chosen by the Alien Dragon by Ava Hunter by
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Human Seph works in a bar near to area 51 and sees all sorts of weird things and people. However, when a bar fight turns into real proof that aliens are real her world changes. It turns scary when he kidnaps her and even though she fights he is not letting her go and yet while she is confused and shocked she is not so sure she wants him to either. Alien Rulik says she is his mate but Seph disagrees because he is not human and is a liar - but she can't stop fantasising about him with no clothes on. His attempts at romance are dreadful but as time passes her heart melts just a little bit more for him. The question is - can he get her to see sense that they would be great out in space travelling together or will their love be nothing more than space dust?

I enjoyed this story with a crazy mix between alien abduction and a fated mates story. I loved Rulik and his inept communication skills and sassy Seph and her determination to not become a victim but to own her future and circumstances. It was great that they eventually found common interests that brought them together and that it became more and more obvious that whether you understood it or not, they were meant to be together. Well written, easy to read and understand and a great story with an imaginative plot. Contains some explicit sexual content.
