Review: Irresistible Omegas Volume Two by Nora Phoenix 4 of 5 stars

Irresistible Omegas Volume Two (Irresistible Omegas #4-5.5)

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

#4 Alpha's Pride 4*

I enjoyed this book because it looked at the engrained identity of an alpha and how they can learn to treat other designations as equals. I also enjoyed the way that pack alpha Lidon tried to help the three men with suggestions on how to behave and communicate to build a better relationship. I loved the way that Bray was determined to help with baby Jax and that he called on his father Greyson for help which improved their relationship too. Lots of feelings and emotions in its story as well as the practical side of things. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MMM story with mature content set in an omegaverse with mpreg.

#5 Beta's Strength 4*

I enjoyed this story with more exploration of the relationship between the three men as well as recovery from the tragic loss of one of the pack members in the attack. Ruari also dealt with the issue of his father and moved on from the abusive upbringing that he endured with the help of his two men. So a lot of love and emotions in this story. You can't help but love all of the pack members and hope that they have happiness and success in the future. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MMM story with mature content set in an omegaverse with mpreg.

#6 Omega's Protector 3*

I enjoyed this story which started with a coincidence which led to Sean rescuing Gia before Felix helped them which brought him into their little group seeking refuge with the pack. They were fated mates and I loved that Gia was given the power to tell them. They had passion and I loved that they were able to work together to get through Gia's heat and remain together afterwards. There was a lot of analysis of Sean's situation (like his family and whether anyone would demand his return as well as if anyone missed Felix). Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MMM story with mature content set in an omegaverse.

Omega's Protector (Irresistible Omegas #5.5)

Omega's Protector by Nora Phoenix
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

When hot alpha cop Sean rescues omega Gia from being assaulted, he has no idea what fate has in store for him. Sean meets Felix, a nerdy beta lawyer, and Gia, the sassy omega he rescued, under unexpected circumstances. He's not looking for a boyfriend, far from it, but something sparks between them, something that's hard to define and impossible to understand rationally. And that's not even the strangest thing happening on the ranch that offers them a safe place. The air simmers there, wild and powerful. But what is that power they all feel? After riding out Gia's heat together, they find out what secrets the ranch holds, and they have to choose to part, leave or stick together and see how everything develops. How much stock do they put in fate? And is their short but explosive encounter enough to last or will their connection fizzle out?

Alpa Bray has accepted he, Kean, and Ruari are fated mates, but he knows their happy ever after is still a long way off. He needs to change, but where to start? Can he ever become the alpha that’s worthy of his two mates and the dad little Jax needs? The rest of the pack is reeling from the heavy loss they suffered. Can their pack mate’s sacrifice bring forth something good? Relationships are tested and bonds deepen as the pack faces their toughest challenge yet.

Alpha's Pride (Irresistible Omegas #4)

Alpha's Pride by Nora Phoenix
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Alpha Bray wants a sweet, pliant omega who will bear him an alpha heir. But he doesn’t want one now. He’s too young to settle down. That’s why hooking up with beta Kean is perfect. Kean thought he could keep things casual with Bray, but when he starts yearning for more, Bray makes it clear he’s not interested. When Ruari, a single-dad omega, arrives on the ranch with his baby, Kean instantly connects with him. He breaks things off with Bray to pursue Ruari, leaving the alpha confused and angry. Ruari doesn’t hesitate when he and his baby are offered a safe place at the PTP ranch. He’s in desperate need of support, and meeting Kean makes him want to stay. But when Ruari runs into the alpha father of his baby, things get complicated fast. Bray, Kean, and Ruari try to figure out where they each fit as sparks fly, tempers rise, and a stubborn beta and an equally sassy omega prove to be more than a match for a slightly arrogant alpha. Meanwhile, they and their fellow pack members have to take a stand against a rising threat to the pack. When trouble comes, the pack fights back, but it will come at a cost.

Review: Proof Of Life by Raquel Riley 5 of 5 stars

Proof Of Life (Scars and Stripes, #1)

Proof Of Life by Raquel Riley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

West gave twelve years of his life to the service then tragically lost his leg and his career. When the dust settled, the only person still standing by my side in the rubble was his best friend and colleague Brandt - the single lifeline he had left to a world he didn’t want to live in anymore. With painstaking care, he healed West's body and mind. When he eventually started healing his heart, he realized he didn’t just need him in his life but in ways, he'd never wanted him before. Watching West struggle every day was tearing Brandt apart. If only he could see what Brandt did, he wouldn’t see flaws and hopelessness but a courageous, selfless, brilliant leader. A guy with no filter, who always makes Brandt laugh. He’d see the man Brandt had come to love as more than just his best friend.

This was an emotional book as the two men healed from their life-changing injuries and found a way to be happy and support each other as well as other veterans. I loved the guys they were introduced to and the acronym which could inspire thousands of slogans and merchandise. Brandt was determined to look after West and pull him out of his suicidal thoughts. I loved their proof of life check-in and what it meant to them. An inspirational story with lots of real passion between two men who deserve care and love. This was easy to read, feel and understand - you will need some tissues to hand. This was an MM story with mature content and a double bi-awakening.

Review: Not So Casual by Ashley Rayne 4 of 5 stars

Not So Casual

Not So Casual by Ashley Rayne
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What happens when the lines between boss and employee get blurred? From the moment he stepped into Alexander's office, there was something different about Elias Bowen. Something that always drew him in and made him want to know more. After seeing a different side to Elias, they both have to figure out where their feelings lie. The problem is that Elias is Alexander's assistant.

I enjoyed this story with the two men who lusted after each other from afar until one cracked and they tried a no-strings arrangement which morphed into something far more permanent. I loved their communication style and the way that Elias was able to run interference for Alexander for either of them. Their relationship was hot and it was a joy to experience it with them. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Sorting Out by Silvia Violet 3 of 5 stars

Sorting Out (Fitting In Book 2)

Sorting Out by Silvia Violet
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Jack is thrilled that he, Mason, and Gray are committed to each other, but even their love can’t quell the fear he has every time he puts his police uniform on. As if his anxiety wasn’t high enough, there are big changes on the horizon for Gray and Mason while Jack’s feeling left out and unsure about his own future. When a high-profile investigation puts Gray in danger, Jack feels like his whole world is falling apart. Gray and Mason know exactly what he needs physically, but anything else and they are all uncertain. With everyone keeping secrets, can these men make their relationship work amid danger and fear?

This was a dramatic story as Jack struggled with anxiety when going to work made worse when Grey moved to another more senior job. Mason is concentrating on exams leaving him to fret and worry on his own. Easy to pick feelings and emotions up, but sometimes they can be a bit silly which makes them harder to relate to. Easy to read and understand. This is an MMM story with mature content and BSDM-like D/s dynamics.
