Extinction 6 by Hosein Kouros-Mehr
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This is a dystopian book set in the future where oil drilling has accelerated global warming to a frightening extent which was set of both famine and another world war. Greedy corporations are doing everything they can to profit from the situation and Google has a project team called Titan to try and find a safe way of providing the power the world needs without causing anymore damage. Can they find a solution before the sixth mass extinction takes hold and life either disappears or has to abandon the Earth?
I loved this book and the way it connected very well into many of the themes and possibilities we can see glimmers of today. So much of it was easy to imagine that this book could be used as a cautionary tale of what might or could happen if we are not careful with the world we live in and the technology we are starting to develop today. Well written and a great concept I really enjoyed this book. It definitely is the kind of book to make you stop and think about a few things. This book had a few connections back to the previous book by this author although it can definitely be read on it's own.
