Review: Revik: A Bridge & Sword Prequel #0.1 by J.C. Andrijeski 5 of 5 stars

Revik: A Bridge & Sword Prequel #0.1 Revik: A Bridge & Sword Prequel #0.1 by J.C. Andrijeski
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Since being pulled out of a Nazi prison in 1942 seer and infiltrator Dehgoies Revik by 1974 had become a senior lieutenant of the Rooks (also known as the the Org) working for Galaith. Then a mysterious female seer comes looking for him in Vietnam and makes him realise that he is really just a slave working for the Dreng. Having been a bad guy for so long can he start to remember what it really is to be good?

This story focuses on Revik and what happened to him before he meets Allie. It had a good level of detail in the relationships between Revik and the others in the organisation with added a welcome insight into how things were and why they behave the way the do towards him in books in the series. It was nice to get an insight into his life and the events which would have had some effect on his personality and skills. Well written and easy to read.

Please note this is a prequel to the Bridge & Sword series and does not need to be read before diving into the series for real.
