Review: Twilight Crook by Eva Chase 5 of 5 stars

Twilight Crook (Flirting with Monsters Book 2)Twilight Crook by Eva Chase
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Saorsa lost her apartment and sense of security while helping the three sexy monsters who followed her home. However, the new lovers (as they now are) make her feel as if she got the better part of the bargain. Unfortunately, their boss Omen who they worked together to rescue, is not at all keen on humans - in fact all he does is test her and try his best to prove that she is not good enough to continue to help them. Too bad then that her mortal skills are far too useful to ignore - after all they have the group of monster torturing people to destroy so they can release all of their prisoners. Interestingly, as part of passing all of the tests set for her by Omen, they discover she has powers that no human is meant to wield which creates the question - if she is not human what is she and can she work out how to use this supernatural side of her nature? After all, this could be her only chance to avenge the murder of the woman who raised her as well as all the beings who have been murdered since. Only one thing seems certain - that she is not going to back down!

Wow - this certainly was an action-packed story that kept me hooked wanting to know what was going to happen next. It was nice to see the relationships between Saorsa and the guys developing and that it felt more two-way that them feeling that they owed her something. The new powers were interesting and I loved the way Omen tried to help her work out how to use them. The ending of this story certainly was dramatic and I can't wait to find out what happens next. Contains some sexual content.
