Omega Nyx Pointe knows he's lucky to have a job in an Alpha dominated field. People don't expect Omegas to be protectors, especially not in law enforcement. When the need for change leads him to Shelter Falls, he discovers the prejudices he's used to are absent in this adorable small town. Alpha Julian Bates has been Sheriff in this small town for longer than he cares to admit. He's put his all behind protecting the people and keeping the peace. After finding out his team isn't a trustworthy as he thought, he cleans house and starts fresh with a bunch of new hires. Fate brings these two men together, but it also nearly rips them apart. After all, police work isn't for the faint of heart, and as an old foe returns to this small town, they'll have to decide what's more important: their jobs or their newfound relationship.
This was a sweet novella with two members of local law enforcement meeting their fated mate. Doing such a dangerous job it was inevitable that one of them would be injured but I did love the solution that they came up with. Easy to read and understand.This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse with mpreg.
