Jack Wilde has had a very bad day and could really use a hug. His grad school application to join the Raintree Arctic Expedition gets unexpectedly denied, and he knows exactly who to blame. Professor River Henry has always had it out for him. All Jack wants to do is drown his sorrows in some platonic cuddles and pretend he hasn't hit rock bottom before his scientific career has even had a chance to get off the ground. But when Professor Henry is the one standing on the other side of the hotel room door in response to Jack's add for comfort, he suddenly realises with breath-stealing horror, just how far he has left to fall.
I enjoyed this short story in the Forever Wilde series. I enjoyed the chemistry between the two men and the friends to lovers style of this story. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
