Review: Tourist Attraction by Luna David 3 of 5 stars

Tourist Attraction (Destination Daddies)

Tourist Attraction by Luna David
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

ER doctor Gavin doesn't do relationships because even though he is a Daddy he is married to his job and so a kinky vacation week will give him a boy to temporarily sate his desire. What he doesn't plan for is the awkward and brilliant boy in the Miami airport who makes him question everything before his vacation has even begun. Ollie needs a Daddy (and a doctor as well) as he inadvertently injures himself on a daily basis. So when he stumbles into Gavin it seems like a match made in heaven as Ollie regularly relies on his first aid kit. But when he learns Gavin is not looking for something serious Ollie releases he can't put a bandage on a broken heart. Will Gavin be able to make room in his life for the perfectly imperfect Ollie after they return to Miami, or will a week of playing doctor become nothing more than a fond memory?

This was a sweet story of the haphazard boy in desperate need of a Daddy (who was good and fixing him back up) and a Daddy who needed a boy but was not willing to admit that he worked too hard and that there was room in his life for the right boy. I loved how caring Gavin was and that he was determined to look after Ollie as much as he could in their week. I also liked the way that Ollie's friends looked out for him and were quite capable of fixing his injuries for him. Easy to read, feel and understand there were a lot of emotions in this story. This is an MM story with mature content in a BDSM-like DDLB relationship.

Review: Trust in Me by Luna David 4 of 5 stars

Trust in Me (The Boys Club #2)

Trust in Me by Luna David
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Mateo Alvarez is getting his life back after escaping an unhealthy relationship and is starting to think that having a Daddy is something that is not for him. Then when he is out at a club with friends he meets a Daddy he is drawn to who his best friend assures him is a good man. Mateo sparks something in Jake Cosgrove that gives him a need to protect and nurture him. Determined to make Mattie his, Jake knows he needs to build a foundation of trust to show him what a real Daddy/boy relationship should be. But is that enough to make Mattie confident in what they could be to each other, or will his boy’s past relationship ruin what they have before it even begins?

I loved this story with the nasty ex who had done everything he could to destroy Mateo's life and the way that when it was finally out in the open to Jake he kicked into action using the resources he had and knew to sort it out and make sure that Mattie never had to worry about him again. I liked the determination that Mattie had to sort everything out on his own but he obviously had a skewed view of what a Daddy did after his previous dysfunctional relationship. Easy to read, feel and understand. Contains MM mature content in a BDSM-like DDLB relationship.

Review: Let Me In by Luna David 4 of 5 stars

Let Me In (The Boys Club #1)

Let Me In by Luna David
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Liam Cavanagh is twenty-three years old and has had to take care of his family since he was fifteen as the sole breadwinner by doing whatever job he could. He was forced to grow up far too soon and the burden of responsibility is slowly destroying him. Badly in need of a Daddy, he gets a hit on his advertisement on The Boys Club app and shrugs it off as impossible - he lives 600 miles away from Daddy Cash but his current boy persuades him to take on the role as his new boy. Cash Moreau is a forty-year-old entrepreneur and is having a bad week as his boy who he lived with for years has left for a new job, his own company is coping with a crisis and now a young stranger has arrived at his front door with his possessions claiming to be his new boy. Liam wants a Daddy to depend on, and Cash refuses to believe he’s what’s best for Liam. While they do have a powerful connection Cash finally pushes Liam away and the beautiful boy who stole his heart disappears but then Cash realises what he let slip through his fingers. As Cash tries to move heaven and earth to find Liam he hopes it is not too late to let him in.

I enjoyed this story with Liam being persuaded to take a chance and Cash being stubborn and determined to keep himself closed away. Liam tried so hard and yet in the end Cash rejected him time and time again that I ended up really disliking him. I was so pleased he realised what he had thrown away and that he really had messed up. I was with Liam's friends who were very sceptical about whether Cash was serious as Liam really could have not taken one more rejection. Thank goodness he finally realised what he needed to do. This definitely tugged at the heartstrings and I felt for Liam many times in the story. Easy to read, feel and understand. Contains mature content in a BSDM-like DDLB relationship.

Review: Finding Ky by Luna David 4 of 5 stars

Finding Ky (Custos Securities, #4)

Finding Ky by Luna David
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sawyer and Jackson have been a unit since they were young teenagers growing up together in the same foster home and when Kyler (a boy barely half their age) arrived heartbroken and scared, the young men took him under their wings, vowing to take care of him and protect him. Then an unimaginable nightmare tears their world apart, separating Sawyer and Jackson from Kyler but Sawyer and Jackson try to ensure Kyler is safe as he grows up without them. Kyler always thought running from his past was his only option, until his past catches up with him in the form of Sawyer and Jackson. Then the three of them find themselves embroiled in a family vendetta that spans decades, threatening to upend their world once again. Will Sawyer and Jackson finally be able to fulfil their promise to keep Kyler safe - while proving they accept and love him for who he is - or will the odds always be stacked against them?

I enjoyed this story with the hidden history of Kyler's parents, family connections and the danger that stalks him constantly. I loved the care that Sawyer and Jackson took to ensure that they respected Kyler's genderfluid nature and that they approached sex with him in each sex in the correct way. I loved their relationship and the way that Kyler's family and the Custos Securities family were supportive of all three of them. Definitely an emotional and heartwarming story with a wonderful HEA at the end. Easy to read, feel and understand. Contains MMM mature content including BSDM-like D/s relationships.

** Please note Kyler is genderfluid and so he or she is used indicating whether at that time he is male or female.

Review: Saving Sebastian by Luna David 5 of 5 stars

Saving Sebastian (Custos Securities, #3)

Saving Sebastian by Luna David
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Gideon McCade Had been a Navy SEAL and CIA agent so has lots of blood on his hands. He uses BSDM club Catharsis to dominate willing submissives to get him through daily life now he is a civilian - but never permanent just short temporary contracts. When his former life comes back he gets pulled back into the shadows taking away his hope for a life in the light. Sebastian Phillips has his career as a tattoo artist sidelined and so works as a composite artist for the local police department while he lives with a congenital medical condition so he immerses himself in his art and seeks the catharsis of submission. But with life weighing heavily on his shoulders and darkness encroaching, he yearns for a contract with a Dominant that sees past the protective barriers he’s erected to the vulnerable submissive within. The connection between Gideon and Sebastian is undeniable but they both consider themselves to be too damaged and so rely on an impersonal contract to fulfil their physical needs. But staying emotionally detached becomes impossible, and breaking their contract seems the only option. Will Gideon’s need for vengeance and Sebastian’s declining health destroy what’s grown between them, or will they help each other find their way back into the light?

They were both so damaged that it was heartbreaking to read this story even though the HEA at the end was worth the anguish and tears on the way to get there. I really did feel as if I was there with them and living their lives, frustration and heartbreak as everything progressed. There was a lot of danger and drama in this story, especially on Gideon's side as well as Sebastian's medical issues. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was MM mature content with a D/s dynamic including suspension, spanking, flogging and whipping.

Review: Protecting Braden by Luna David 5 of 5 stars

Protecting Braden (Custos Securities, #2)

Protecting Braden by Luna David
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Note - this follows from book #1 in the series. Cade is in an unfamiliar situation - he has fallen in love with the person he is supposed to be protecting - talented pastry chef Braden Cross. Whilst Cade thrives in dangerous and stressful situations, nothing could prepare him for Braden’s decision to put himself in danger. After a vicious attack from his stalker leaves Braden fighting for his life, Cade will stop at nothing to see the man responsible punished. Braden struggles to rebuild his life and re-establish the fragile trust he and Cade had worked so hard to build. Braden knows if he’s going to survive the chaos surrounding him, he’s going to have to give Cade everything he has -mind, body, and soul. However hidden just out of their reach, an increasingly deranged stalker watches and waits.

OMG - you seriously made me cry in this book. There was so much danger and drama in this story I was starting to wonder if was it over, if would they catch the stalker, or would something dramatic happen. How could Braden fall back into that behaviour? I just wanted to shake him so hard. Easy to read, feel and understand. This story contains mature MM content with BSDM-like D/s behaviours.

Review: Trusting Cade by Luna David 4 of 5 stars

Trusting Cade (Custos Securities, #1)

Trusting Cade by Luna David
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Zavier “Cade” McCade is 38 and has had an illustrious military career as a former Army Special Forces Captain, now has a successful business and a close-knit group of family and friends. His post-military career is around his company Custos Securities, a burgeoning protection agency that provides unparalleled security for both civilians and corporations across the U.S. After some disastrous relationships Braden Cross owns and is the pastry chef at the Sugar n’ Spice Café with his best friend who concocts exotic coffees and teas. When a stalker sets his sights on Braden he is relieved when Cade steps in to offer his protection from the maelstrom of threats, break-ins, and vandalism which causes the two to draw closer together. Braden eventually realizes that he can trust Cade with his life, but he finds himself wondering - can he trust him with his heart?

I loved this story where both weren't sure about each other but just couldn't help themselves to be drawn together. Braden really was the mad professor type with his baking and getting swept up in his ingredients and ideas with no concept of danger and consequences whereas Cade was the archetypical protector who was really protective and determined to keep Braden safe. It was so sweet between then and definitely swoon-worthy. Easy to read, feel and understand I was definitely fully behind them and invested in this story. This story contains mature MM content and a BSDM-like D/s relationship.
