Review: Let Me In by Luna David 4 of 5 stars

Let Me In (The Boys Club #1)

Let Me In by Luna David
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Liam Cavanagh is twenty-three years old and has had to take care of his family since he was fifteen as the sole breadwinner by doing whatever job he could. He was forced to grow up far too soon and the burden of responsibility is slowly destroying him. Badly in need of a Daddy, he gets a hit on his advertisement on The Boys Club app and shrugs it off as impossible - he lives 600 miles away from Daddy Cash but his current boy persuades him to take on the role as his new boy. Cash Moreau is a forty-year-old entrepreneur and is having a bad week as his boy who he lived with for years has left for a new job, his own company is coping with a crisis and now a young stranger has arrived at his front door with his possessions claiming to be his new boy. Liam wants a Daddy to depend on, and Cash refuses to believe he’s what’s best for Liam. While they do have a powerful connection Cash finally pushes Liam away and the beautiful boy who stole his heart disappears but then Cash realises what he let slip through his fingers. As Cash tries to move heaven and earth to find Liam he hopes it is not too late to let him in.

I enjoyed this story with Liam being persuaded to take a chance and Cash being stubborn and determined to keep himself closed away. Liam tried so hard and yet in the end Cash rejected him time and time again that I ended up really disliking him. I was so pleased he realised what he had thrown away and that he really had messed up. I was with Liam's friends who were very sceptical about whether Cash was serious as Liam really could have not taken one more rejection. Thank goodness he finally realised what he needed to do. This definitely tugged at the heartstrings and I felt for Liam many times in the story. Easy to read, feel and understand. Contains mature content in a BSDM-like DDLB relationship.
