Bill works for Christopher Manos who he knows he can trust and over time Bill had repeatedly shown he can be trusted and so when he is given the job of protecting his best friend and Christopher's husband Snow he is determined to do everything he can to destroy anything and anyone that poses a threat to him. However, he has to work with the one person he had vowed to never see again - Mace. Mace known as "Without a Trace Mace" wears a cocky mask and uses his model's good looks to his full advantage to get the job done. He is a deadly assassin and is well known for killing whole families and getting away without a trace. Mace uses his veil of conceit to keep others at a distance, rarely trusting anyone. When his boss, Black (the one man he trusts above all others) gives him his next assignment, he learns his newest partner is none other than Bill, the man he’d do anything to avoid. Bill and Mace have to put their differences aside to protect the Manos family from a brilliant foe as Bill and Mace’s traitorous hearts draw them closer together no matter how hard they fight the inevitable. With the lives of their loved ones hanging in the balance, they find themselves in the middle of a dangerous dance. But when the music stops, will they both be left standing?
I really enjoyed the drama of this story and the way that something that affected Snow so much was a way of pulling Mace and Bill together. I liked that the dislike between the two men was translated into a passion and that they were both as intense. I loved the way that Mace was so good-looking but was able to move without a trace - something you would expect to be impossible to achieve. I loved the depth of feelings and the way it was easy to read and feel. The MM story contains mature content and violence.
