Elliot thinks that Freddie is way too young for him as he is old enough to be his father even though he is an adorable mix of sexy, smart, sassy, shy and sweet. But he doesn't want to be forced to take him as his fake date to his oldest friend's wedding just because his cheating ex is going to be there too. To Freddie, Elliot is everything that he wants in a man as he fulfils his ultimate silver fox fantasy. But he has had his heart broken before and so he won't let that happen again. From a fake date to friends with benefits, commitment’s not part of the deal. So where does falling in love fit in?
I loved how this story went from learning to know each other, to being protective of each other, to be physical and then to the friends-with-benefits stage. It was a sweet story with a cute older dog, friends who were happy to interfere and a few moments of angst. The ex was just evil and Elliot was well rid of him. In the end, they both made a really cute couple. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content.
