It's time for another annual Pet Play by the Lake LGBTQ charity event in Tahoe where pets from around the world arrive in search of a new master to just show off their skills with their Daddy. Shane is tasked with overseeing the festivities. Cody owns a ranch in Montana and has a side hustle to make leather harnesses, collars and leashes for the kink community and so has rented a booth for the weekend. Once Cody spots grumpy and older Shane he recognises a boy who needs to let go and to prance with his inner pony, but every time he tries to apply for the job he is rebuffed. Will Shane’s scars from a humiliating relationship prevent him from finding the happiness he secretly craves with the carefree Cody? And will a long-distance relationship prove impossible for them to sustain?
This was a story with emotions, focussing on things that were not as important as they seemed, prioritising yourself and learning to rust again. I enjoyed this story which was a short story but a good light-hearted read. This MM story contains mature content and a BSDM-like DDLB relationship including pet play.
