Review: Tide to You by J.J. Harper 3 of 5 stars

Tide to You (Destination Daddies Season Two)

Tide to You by J.J. Harper
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Hudson is a Daddy who is sick of only being seen by boys as a Sugar Daddy. So he entered a Destinations competition on Cuffd and is surprised when he wins a week-long holiday at Hôtel Plaisir while they run an event for Daddies and boys. When he arrives his interest is drawn to the stunning young man who meets his although as staff surely that makes him out of bounds? Yannick is relishing the opportunity to organise his own event and prove to his father that he can be trusted to run their family hotel thanks to Cuffd and their Destinations competition. But he never expected the winner to be his dream Daddy and for it to hurt quite so much when he played with other boys let alone to give himself to a man who would leave at the end of his holiday even if being with Hudson breaks his father's trust in him.

I enjoyed this story with the story between the two men woven into the story of the hotel and its running. I loved how Hudson tried to resist Yannick but at the end of the day, neither of them could stay away from each other. The behaviour of Yannick's father and his second husband was interesting and really should have rung some major alarm bells with him before the meeting with the bank. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Mistletoe and Mates: Shifters in Love Holiday Anthology by V. Vaughn by Julia Mills by C.D. Gorri 4 of 5 stars

Mistletoe and Mates: Shifters in Love Holiday Anthology

Mistletoe and Mates: Shifters in Love Holiday Anthology by V. Vaughn by  by
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A good value collection of shifter stories of a Christmas nature that will leave us all with the seasonal spirit.

#1 A Furry Little Christmas - C.D. Gorri - 5*

This is a second chance at a love book set in the Maccon City Pack area. I really enjoyed it and was rooting for them both.

#2 Unwrapping Her Dragon - Julia Mills - 3*

This is a Dragon Warrior story. Everleigh knows that the dragon is hers, but after he just left her she is not yet ready to let him get near her. He certainly has his work cut out for him.

#3 Her Cowboy Warrior – Liv Brywood - 3*

I enjoyed this story although I did find the female lead a bit clueless at times

#4 Tis the Season for Sass – Melanie James - 4*

This is set in the Black Paw wolves pack and was a great mix between lots of action and magic.

#5 A Fated Mate for Christmas – Selena Blake - 5*

I loved this story and the way that Garett and Gabriella connected together and the strength she got through her connection to him.

#6 The Honeybear’s Xmas Curse – Jacqueline Sweet - 5*

I loved this story and how she was saved from evil magic at Christmas time.

#7 Her Cowboy's Christmas Surprise – J. K. Harper - 2*

I really disliked this story. As I was reading it I was just shouting in my head at Callie to stop being so stupid and acting like an idiot.

#8 Gracie’s Gift – V. Vaughn - 4*

I loved this story and the connections between them all were great.

Review: Unacceptable Risk [includes Unsettled Interlude] by Kaje Harper 5 of 5 stars

Unacceptable Risk [includes Unsettled Interlude] (Hidden Wolves, #1-1.5)

Unacceptable Risk [includes Unsettled Interlude] by Kaje Harper
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Werewolf shifter Simon Conley has been an outcast in his own pack ever since it was known he was gay. He is considered a perversion and a major security risk as werewolves rely on total secrecy in the human world - any breach to that would be swiftly and violently dealt with. So when Simon falls in love with a human man his Alpha's grudging tolerance is not going to protect him. He absolutely has to stop Paul from discovering the truth about him and the pack secrets else they are likely to pay with their lives.

I absolutely loved this book The relationship between Simon and Paul was hesitant at first but incredibly strong and I just felt incredibly sad for them that there was so much pressure and antagonism on them. Paul's hesitation was well written and Simon was both strong and very careful together with reckless and determined when it came to his feelings for Paul. There were definitely times when I just wanted to give some of the pack members a piece of my mind which shows just how deeply I bought into the story between them. Very easy to read and be swept away in the emotions of it all. Contains explicit sexual M/M sexual content so please don't read this if you are sensitive to it.
