Review: Time Wasn't Ready by Terri A. Wilson 5 of 5 stars

Time Wasn't Ready (Crimson Moon Hideaway; Women of the Fold #1)Time Wasn't Ready by Terri A. Wilson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Witch Garnet Wisteria has been the head of security for The Fold and even though there is one final case outstanding she is being forced into taking retirement. She really doesn't want to stop doing what she is good at but feels that she owes it to Samuel to give it a chance. Panther shifter Samuel Morrison is also Garnet's bonded familiar and has always known she is his mate. Looking forward to retirement, he hopes that this is a time for them and that he can now tell her exactly how he feels about her and make her his mate - he just needs to find a time to tell her. So they are both sent to the Crimson Moon Hideaway in order to have a vacation together so they can start their retirement. While Garnet focuses on the hunky bartender Samuel starts to prepare for talking to her about his feelings. However, some criminals never go away nor give-up. Can Garnet overcome all of her doubts and live to her true potential while sharing her heart with the man who gave up his life for her?

I loved this story which really tugged at the heartstrings as you because really invested in the story mainly from Samuel's point of view but also had empathy with Garnet's. I loved the drama and excitement with all of the events that happened to the couple (whether separately or together) and could really empathise with most of what they were thinking or feeling. Well written, this was easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Muse Unleashed by Robbie Cox 4 of 5 stars

Muse Unleashed (Crimson Moon Hideaway)Muse Unleashed by Robbie Cox
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Author and panther shifter Maxwell Bourland has a major problem - something appears to be sapping his creativity and although he has elaborate plots in his head when he falls asleep, by morning it has all vanished. So he flees to the paranormal resort of Crimson Moon Hideaway hoping that the break will shake whatever has him in its clutches. Tired of inspiring others, muses Thalia and Calliope take a vacation to the Crimson Mood Hideaway where they can take some quality time off. However, while they plot to lure a hotel lifeguard from his tower and female fan club they notice a slumped man trudging through the resort with a slight shimmer around his body. Now their interest is completely peaked- who is this man and why are they so drawn to him?

This started off feeling like a slightly monotonous story, which as I got into it became far more interesting as I became more and more invested in the characters. I liked the way that the reason for his writing problems came to light and how the muses managed to solve it. A lot of drama at the end of the story and a satisfying HEA at the end. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Crimson Moon Hideaway: Chimera's Edge by Renee Hewitt 5 of 5 stars

Crimson Moon Hideaway: Chimera's EdgeCrimson Moon Hideaway: Chimera's Edge by Renee Hewitt
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Chimera Effie Follett is at Crimson Moon Hideaway for the weekend on a business trip but she also has some time to enjoy a little rest and relaxation at the exclusive hot resort for paranormals. However, unlike the other guests, she won't be letting her shifter side out as she has learnt that a Chimera scares people and so she won't be ruining their holidays. Silver dragon shifter and the prince of a Greek island, Jace Argyros is heir to his clan and just wants to escape his duty and have fun for the weekend. When he meets Effie he is drawn to her immediately. Will their secrets get them singed and can a chimera and a dragon be happily ever after? Only time will tell if Jianna will regret bringing together both of them.

OMG, this was a great story with so many reasons as to why everything between them would not work but together they really were smoking hot! I loved the interplay between them, all the secrets, the politics, the chaos and the final resolution which just exactly what I wanted to happen. Well written, easy to read and understand, and definitely a book that I couldn't put down. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Queen of Legacy by Veronica Shade by Rebecca Hamilton 5 of 5 stars

Queen of LegacyQueen of Legacy by Veronica Shade by
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Madison is convinced that saving the Soule Coven starts with rescuing the one statue from the academy grounds she had been communicating with but it seems that the grounds are impenetrable at the moment. Add to that the fact that they are hunting for Madison and it makes what they need to do so much harder. So she risks everything to reach an urban legend in Salem to ask for help. As part of that quest, she unveils some family secrets that she had never wanted to know and so decides to go into a den for ancient Celtic gods and goddesses in order to convince them to help her. However, having risked her own life to get help will it be enough to go up against those at La Voisin?

This installation of the story was definitely filled wall to wall with surprises, danger, drama and excitement. Certainly some of the surprises I definitely didn't see coming and it put a whole new perspective on some earlier aspects of the story. The book had a rather dramatic finish and so I really can't wait to find out what happens next. Well written, it was easy to read and understand. I felt completely invested in the story and so really need to know what happens next.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Review: Crimson Moon Hideaway: Dragon Falling by Julia Mills 4 of 5 stars

Crimson Moon Hideaway: Dragon Falling (Dragon Intelligence Agency Book 1)Crimson Moon Hideaway: Dragon Falling by Julia Mills
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Witch Ellie MacLeish has mourned the loss of her parents for three years now and failed to find the people responsible for their murders. So her remaining family of her sister and aunt are everything to her. Dragon shifter and agent Ranger Evans was assigned to investigate the murder of the two powerful witches and so was taken aback when in the investigation he met his mate. Three years later and recovering from a near-fatal injury from the people who were responsible for the murders, he is no closer to claiming his mate either. Danger lurks in unlikely places even at the Crimson Moon Resort, so he might think it is safe to be there as he is no closer to working out who is behind the witch murders. Destiny is obviously not talking to help with the case either, but fate really won't be denied for much longer and it seems neither will sexy agent Evans. Can they get to the bottom of the murders and move on to better times?

It was lovely to get another dragon shifter style book with another dragon finding his mate. I loved the underlying story of who was behind the murders and the answer as to who it actually was. I liked the dynamic between Ellie and Ranger although I did find the eventual joining together between them a little sudden and thought it would have taken a bit longer. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: A Billionaire Prince Romance Boxed Set: The Complete Series by Erin Hayes 4 of 5 stars

A Billionaire Prince Romance Boxed Set: The Complete Series: The Royal Trade, The Royal Pain, The Royal Mistake, The Royal TreatmentA Billionaire Prince Romance Boxed Set: The Complete Series: The Royal Trade, The Royal Pain, The Royal Mistake, The Royal Treatment by Erin Hayes
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

#1 The Royal Trade - 5*
Cara met Phillip at University and he's the man of her dreams. He is also the prince of an island nation in the Mediterranean. They are engaged and she is living a dream life until it all comes crashing down when he publicly cheats on her. She's distraught and has to run away when she is met at the airport by his brother Eric who offers her the chance to run away from it all to have time to think about everything. Will they manage to stay hidden and can Eric win her because he saw her first and has loved her ever since then? Will Cara be able to love again and will she see Eric as the right brother for her?

This is a charming love story with lots of raw emotions and great descriptions of where they are and what they did to take their minds off of everything at their destination. The ending was very sweet and I definitely felt the emotion.

#2 The Royal Pain - 5*
Phillip is trying to move on quietly after a public break-up from his ex-fiancee - the problem is as a billionaire and a prince that is not exactly easy to achieve. Then he meets a beautiful media CEO who is more famous than he is - however she is not interested in helping him with his redemption - just in being a royal pain.

This was a lovely story that continued the story after the previous book and focused on Phillip and how he handles the fallout of his infidelity, break-up and then marriage between his ex-fiancee and his younger brother. He certainly had a lot to handle and was starting to sort himself out when he meets Jess and his world is spun on its axis. It was well written and nicely explained. I think she was very tolerant of the person who published as I think I would have thrown the book at them.

#3 The Royal Mistake - 5*
Prince Henry and Cat meet and after more than a few drinks have a wild one nightstand. The next morning he is his usual pompous racing car driver self and Cat leaves to go back to New York and continue her focus on her career. When Jessica (Cat's old boss) invites her to Dubreva to work for her again she meets a recovering Prince Henry after an accident and he is determined to rekindle what happened between them that night. Her news of 2 pink lines on a stick adds to the complication of the whole situation.

I loved this story. The story was very involved and complicated in the situation between them as well as their own stories. Everything was well written and the emotions were very clearly described so that I could feel them myself. I was definitely rooting for them both and that they would be able to sift through their thoughts and feelings to reach the conclusion I wanted them to get to.

#4 The Royal Treatment - 4*
Prince Ferdinand knew he wasn't important in the line of succession and was fine with that. When he met diplomat's daughter Alexandra Daae who was destined to marry his cousin, it was him she fell for and they were all ready to break all the rules for love when tragedy struck and the future they had dreamed of was shattered. He is still not over it even 15 years later when his younger brother has a baby with his partner and he just has to leave Dubreva for a while to deal with the heartache. Miraculously he spots Alexandra there and everything starts to change for the better. Can fate finally be on their side?

This was a sweet story and on the face of it was very enjoyable, but the merging of the past and the present in the same chapter of the book became a little irritating in the end. So I enjoyed the story but then I also didn't enjoy some aspects of it which were a shame as they came to the conclusion that I knew was right (even if I hadn't really understood why certain things happened in the past). A nice story which was enjoyable if you bear in mind the shifts in the timeline.

Review: Her Twisted Heart: Paranormal Dating Agency by Melanie James 4 of 5 stars

Her Twisted Heart: Paranormal Dating Agency (Twisted Tail Pack Book 3)Her Twisted Heart: Paranormal Dating Agency by Melanie James
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Callie Dupree refused to make the mistake of dating a shifter again - in fact, she has sworn off dating completely. So when a mysterious man constantly shows up in her dreams, she decides to do the best she can to ignore it and carry on with life as normal. After all, nothing bad will happen if she gives in to him in her dreams - it's not real, surely. Wolf shifter Wyatt Lockhart is going mad with dreams of his mate. She is bold in bed, beautiful beyond belief, however, he is stunned that the fates have paired him up with a human instead of a shifter. If he could get her to change to suit his needs she would be the perfect mate. Surely that will be simple to achieve?

The past to true love never runs smoothly and in this case that is definitely true! Callie is very against being with a shifter and Wyatt has a complete and utter lack of tact. Fireworks definitely flew as they sorted out their different perspectives and handled the odd piece of danger and drama. Well written and easy to understand. Contains explicit sexual content.
