Review: Second Time Magic by Terri A. Wilson 3 of 5 stars

Second Time Magic (Crimson Moon Hideaway; Women of the Fold #4)

Second Time Magic by Terri A. Wilson
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Tobias Livingston and Anastasia Moore did everything to keep their lives separate but Fate has a way of undoing the best-made plans. When Josh \livvingston and Lexi Moore find out they are really brother and sister everything will change and Anastasia and Tobias will have a lot to answer for to them both. All are visiting the Crimson Moon Hideaway during the 2022 Cupid Convention anything can happen and it is almost guaranteed that no one will ever be the same.

I enjoyed this story with the different stories tracked and wrapped around within each other. Certainly, Anastasia and Tobias did not make life easy for anyone with their historic decision and of course there is going to be plenty of cupid action as they are there for the cupid convention. Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

** Please note this is a second chance m/f romance wrapped in with an m/m romance.

Review: One Heart Forever by Terri A. Wilson 2 of 5 stars

One Heart Forever (Crimson Moon Hideaway; Women of the Fold, #3)

One Heart Forever by Terri A. Wilson
My rating: 2 of 5 stars

Love can sometimes be so strong that even death cannot stop it. Nurse Ruth has a plan to get away from the world and put her life back together after a failed suicide attempt. However, after a freak car accident leads her to the Crimson Moon Hideaway she learns that monsters from the TV and fiction are real and do exist and she is one of them. Hazel spent an eternity trapped in a tree when her lover witch Judith was killed and unable to rescue her but she was convinced that she would return one day. But when she does return as a stranger, she will have to peel away all the pain to find the heart of the one she loved. They will stand together to face the remainder of the evil that originally hurt them but this time they have the Crimson Moon family standing with them and a love that will last until the end of time.

I tried really hard to like this book as I usually love this series but I found the split between the past with Judith and Hazel and the present with Ruth and Hazel and the way they were merged a little hard going. I loved the role played by the other shifters and the way that the staff did their best to help and support her. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Her Redeemed Hero by Terri A. Wilson 3 of 5 stars

Her Redeemed Hero (Federal Paranormal Unit)Her Redeemed Hero by Terri A. Wilson
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Shifter Washington Bender should have made better choices earlier in his life, but he didn't, and so he feels there is no point to torture himself with should haves and could haves. Now working as a US Marshal, Washington protects paranormal witnesses but after a phone call from his sister, he has to go back and protect the pack that he walked away from many years ago including the woman he should never have left behind. Shifter Axelle Michaels works as a teacher taking care of other people's kids but is struggling to take care of her younger brother. When her brother falls in with the wrong crowd (including the current alpha of their pack) he makes a wrong turn that could potentially get him killed. And so she finds she has to turn to her first (and only) love to save both her brother and her pack. Can she forgive him for walking away and turning his back on her when she needed him most?

This was definitely a dramatic story of wolf pack politics and evil acts. I liked the relationship between Washington and Axelle which seemed to fairly easily go back to how it should have stayed. It was fairly well written and it moved the investigation along into who was corrupt in the FBI too so I hope that investigation is concluded soon too. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Her Damaged Guardian by Terri A. Wilson 4 of 5 stars

Her Damaged Guardian (Federal Paranormal Unit / The League of Wolf Protectors Book 1)Her Damaged Guardian by Terri A. Wilson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Wolf shifter Lincoln Talbert might have been the enforcer for the Mikhailov family, but he lived his life with two very clear rules - get the money upfront for any job and hurting kids were strictly off-limits. When he still refused to break the second of those rules they turned their back on him and he was turned over to the FBI. Instead of jail time, he was recruited by James Brock who was the head of the Federal Paranormal Unit to work with a team of paranormals on paranormal criminals or witnesses in the US Marshalls. Throughout her life, Savanah Delacour has hidden her true identity in order to keep herself and her family safe. When she witnesses a murder she will have to risk persecution in order to save her grandmother and stay alive herself. Protected by a man who views personal connections as a weakness, she must breach the wall around his heart to save him, his team, and herself.

This was a great paranormal story that took the pasts of both Lincoln and Savanah and wove them into the story around a crime and the witness protection for Savanah. I enjoyed the way that over time Savanah got past the walls that Lincoln has built around himself for a connection between him and herself, but it also was for the benefit of some of his team too. It was charming to experience how such a sassy lady had the old wolf shifter confused and twisted around her will even though I'm not sure he realised that was the way it was. Well written and easy to understand, I'm looking forward to what happens next both between Lincoln and Savanah and also for the team who were definitely not appreciated in the US Marshalls. Review: When Reapers Fall by Terri A. Wilson 4 of 5 stars

When Reapers Fall (Crimson Moon Hideaway; Women of the Fold #2)When Reapers Fall by Terri A. Wilson
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Catrina Fernandez had a dilemma and when she made her choice she had no idea that she would lose her own soul in the process. Now she finds herself a Reaper and a nightly sought out paid assessing. In all of that time, she has never forgotten the man she truly loved (and was the first one that she killed). Reaper and hired assessing Finn McPherson has done the job for over 300 years and has never mixed business with pleasure until he met the one woman who needed a saviour even though he had never imagined that she would thank him but shooting him. As the two reapers meet at the Crimson Moon Hideaway sparks are certainly going to fly even though their roles are now reversed as Finn is going to have to be the one to do the killing this time. The question is is he going to kill the love of his life or will he let his employer kill him for not doing the job he agreed to complete?

I liked this dramatic story with the crosses and double-crosses all through the story. I also enjoyed the fact that the owners of the resort had more of a role in this story that others who are set there. I did find the constant steps back into the pasts very irritating after a while and wish that the author had done the past and then followed it up with the present so that I didn't have to constantly think as to which timeframe I was in. I enjoyed the ending and the way that there was a promise as to further books featuring both Catrina and Finn. Contains a little sexual content.

Review: Time Wasn't Ready by Terri A. Wilson 5 of 5 stars

Time Wasn't Ready (Crimson Moon Hideaway; Women of the Fold #1)Time Wasn't Ready by Terri A. Wilson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Witch Garnet Wisteria has been the head of security for The Fold and even though there is one final case outstanding she is being forced into taking retirement. She really doesn't want to stop doing what she is good at but feels that she owes it to Samuel to give it a chance. Panther shifter Samuel Morrison is also Garnet's bonded familiar and has always known she is his mate. Looking forward to retirement, he hopes that this is a time for them and that he can now tell her exactly how he feels about her and make her his mate - he just needs to find a time to tell her. So they are both sent to the Crimson Moon Hideaway in order to have a vacation together so they can start their retirement. While Garnet focuses on the hunky bartender Samuel starts to prepare for talking to her about his feelings. However, some criminals never go away nor give-up. Can Garnet overcome all of her doubts and live to her true potential while sharing her heart with the man who gave up his life for her?

I loved this story which really tugged at the heartstrings as you because really invested in the story mainly from Samuel's point of view but also had empathy with Garnet's. I loved the drama and excitement with all of the events that happened to the couple (whether separately or together) and could really empathise with most of what they were thinking or feeling. Well written, this was easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.

Review: Incrusted: Hiding the Demon Within by Annora Wilson 5 of 5 stars

Incrusted: Hiding the Demon Within Incrusted: Hiding the Demon Within by Annora Wilson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Ingrid lived with her Aunt and was finally going to college when her world was tilted on its axis after she found out she was a very rare creature and was in fact a "werepire" - an amazing combination of two different paranormal races that had the power to destroy all the night creatures. She also met and fell for a sexy vampire who charmed her, and met a werewolf who made her feel safe and was the heir to a powerful clan. Having discovered what she is she now craves blood and is trying to desperately find herself while avoiding the ones that would prefer it if she was killed.

A very dramatic story as Ingrid discovers what she is and starts her journey to find herself. Can she do this alone or will she have the help of the vampire and werewolf she has already made a connection with? I loved the way the story developed and she found out what she really was and what that meant. There were some twists and turns in the story and the promise of an exciting story in the next book. It was well written and I could feel empathy for her and her situation.
