Review: Fire and Snow by Andrew Grey 4 of 5 stars

Fire and Snow

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Fisher Moreland, struggling with bipolar disorder and estranged from his family, slowly finds stability and warmth when JD Burnside invites him into his life after spotting him alone on a winter night. Their connection grows as JD supports Fisher through a job‑threatening fire, but the return of people from Fisher’s troubled past — and a rising drug problem in town — puts their fragile new relationship at risk.

A dramatic, emotionally charged story from the very first page. Fisher’s life is a series of heartbreaking blows, and his resilience tugs at your heart throughout. JD steps in as a true protector, doing everything he can to support Fisher while the danger around them grows. I loved how Fisher found purpose helping tackle the spreading drug problems in Carlisle, and how fiercely he stood up for JD when faced with JD’s dysfunctional family. Their connection is powerful and undeniable, and those snatched moments they managed to share felt all the more precious against the chaos surrounding them. The story is packed with emotion, tension, and heartfelt moments that kept me completely captivated. This was an MM story with mature content.
