At the Cake-ily Ever After bakery in Kinship Cove Coco is one of the three sisters that run the bakery. She has just sworn off dating shifters because each time they have met their mate and left her with a broken heart (or at the least hurt feelings). The latest one was Nico and they are now making the baked goods for his wedding. So when a mature and handsome wolf shifter called Magnus comes into their shop she really shouldn't agree to go on a date with him - partially because he is in town for the biggest wedding this year and because the groom is her most recent ex. Like father, like son had never been so wrong...or so right.

This was a fairly quick read and was centred around Coco and how she met wolf shifter, Magnus. Nico was definitely a selfish idiot and that makes me wonder why she ever dated him - surely she would have been fussier and never go near him? Magnus was definitely a fool and really should have connected the dots that she lived in a town with many shifters and so would have understood mates and what it means. However, ignoring that it was a pleasant light read that made me want to eat one of their cakes or macarons! Contains just a tiny bit of sexual content at the end.

Sybrina Reynolds knows there is more to life than her boring 9-to-5 job - she actually secretly has a secret connection to the universe. She knows when she comes home to a dangerous intruder it is not a coincidence. Colton knows Sybrina is his mate but pushes her away to keep her safe, but then he stops and attempt to kidnap her and they are suddenly into hiding together. Colton knows who is after her, Sybrina knows why, but can they admit the truth to each other and work together to stop it and save her and any others?

I really enjoyed this story which had two stubborn people who need to learn to trust each other while also learning to get along together. I loved the way they were protective of each other as well as the way that Colton just could not help himself and failed to stay away from her as well as the subconscious pull towards each other on Sybrina's side also. A delightful story. Contains some explicit sexual content.

Avery is a corporate whistleblower and has to run for her life by taking an Assistant job for a Hyrrokin called Hanibal Hellstone and his eight-year-old son plus their weird three-headed dog-like animal. As part of the job, she has to live with them in their home. Hannibal looks at Avery but has vowed to never bind himself to anyone ever again. The question is, is that a good or a bad thing?

I enjoyed this story which had the usual terror at meeting anyone who is Hyrrokin (they do look just like the devil after all) as well as the development of a relationship between Avery and Hannibal. I loved the way she cared for his son and pet while taking responsibility for a whole host of other things. It was great to read about such a feisty woman who was in control and the in-control male who really wasn't as strong as he thought he was. Contains some explicit sexual content.

FPU agents are stretched so thin trying to find those who are missing as well as the next destination for their elusive adversary that they have to rely on friends and family to pick in and help too. A side effect of that is that many of the couples start to realise what truly matters to them, although some of the younger members are almost too late - can their young relationships survive? Timing is crucial and every second counts. Leave it to Gerri Wilder of the PDA to stop the clock and match an unsuspecting male in a way he just can’t resist. The bad guy might just have to wait.

This was a great culmination to the second mini-series within the Making Waves series. I enjoyed the way that Gerri managed to match up a couple as part of the story. I did find Taylen very irritating as she seemed to be so focused on her agenda and her needs that overall she was behaving in a very selfish way. I loved the couple that Gerri managed to match in this story and look forward to reading more about them in any future books in the series. Easy to read and understand. Contains a little explicit sexual content at the end.

Marietta Gomez has a problem and secrets of her own - whilst she could help the investigation she is actually on the run and has secrets of her own. The stakes are high and climbing as the second mini-mystery in Making Waves reveals allies who aren’t and new adversaries to be investigated. Can the team find the answers they need or are there too many questions yet to solve the puzzle?

I enjoyed this story although it was short and before I realised it was the end of this book and I had to move on to the next. This was certainly full of some surprises and drama that was tempting without actually getting to the real final conclusion - hopefully, the next book in the series will finish the story. I liked Fedya and Marietta and I think they will be a feisty couple in the future. Easy to read and very enjoyable.

While at a final destination one of her passengers dies from a knife in the back and she finds she has been trusted with a stolen code that contains secrets from the Fertillian royal household and therefore under the suspicions of Prince Stephen the head of the Fertillian Guard. After battling pirates and evading arrest, Cassy finds out the code behind the code and its value to the whole of humanity. As she gets closer to Prince Stephen she has a dilemma - can she trust him with information a man died in order to steal from his family or must she turn away from love and do the right thing for humanity?

This was a nice space-based story with the mystery of the code, where it was and what it was actually for. The relationships between the various characters in and around those directly with Cassy were interesting and I can imagine all sorts of directions that this can go in the next book in the series. A nicely written book that I enjoyed but didn't love. Easy to read and understand. Contains a little sexual content.

When Federal Agents arrive in her lab she feels even more stressed as she tries to unravel why marijuana is growing in the Black Bay Channel. An explosion and fire take Andrej back to the black and white existence and he has to choose - agent, Elemental, hero or casualty. As the fate of the witch, he has come to love lies in the balance he has to decide. Can they have it all, or will he have to give it all up to give her a fighting chance?

This was a sweet story that had Andrej making an impossible decision as he fought to keep Taylen alive. His decision needs him to make a major sacrifice if he wants her to live - a decision that needs quick and decisive action. This was full of drama and excitement as a new threat arrived in the Black Bay area. Well written and easy to read/understand.
