Winter Takes All by Milly Taiden
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Curvy Juliet Taylor works in Alaska and has a love of snowy mountains and cold, crisp air. She has no idea how she could find herself a man to keep her warm at night, but she has faith in matchmaker Gerri Wilder. Shifter Tevrik Awulf left home after a tragedy and has liked in a remote corner of Alaska for 15 years full of guilt and loneliness refusing to believe that any woman would want to live in his shack in the middle of the frozen tundra. He is convinced that his friend has had far too much caffeine when he insists that his mate will fall from the sky. Under threat from an avalanche, Trevik finds the most gorgeous woman he has ever seen and as every hour passes she sinks into his world becoming part of his existence. When she goes missing his need to find, protect and tear apart whoever has taken her means his suppressed alpha roars into life - but can he let go of the past or will he lose the only woman who can give him a future worth living?
This was a very dramatic story as Tevrik and Juliet met and developed a relationship in unusual circumstances. I loved the way that they became inseparable over time even as he did his best to resist it (which really was a pointless exercise as we all know). I loved the tie in with the past trauma and the solution to the problems currently being experienced by the wolf pack. Their relationship was just adorable. Well written and easy to read/understand. Contains some sexual content.
