Review: Bonaparte's Belle by Dale Mayer4 of 5 stars

Bonaparte's Belle (Heroes for Hire #25)Bonaparte's Belle by Dale Mayer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sheriff Angela Zimmerman contacted Levi to ask for help and she was sent gentle mountain man Bonaparte. She realised that it was partly Levi doing a spot of matchmaking but right now her only focus was the problems that she had and trying to find a solution. Angela was pleasantly surprised that the gentle giant was also confident and capable which was exactly what she needed. Something rotten was happening to her town and getting to the bottom of it was impossible when all her deputies had been coerced to quit. Sensing something much bigger was going on is one thing, but proving it is another. So the two set out to get the proof they need—no matter the danger. No one expected what they found.

This was a complex mystery as we experienced through Angela and Bonaparte their processes to unpick the entire situation and find proof whenever and wherever they could. I enjoyed the processes that they went through although it was definitely fortunate that they could have help from Levi and his team in order to look deeper into the people responsible. It was suitably dramatic in places and there were definitely a few faster sections of this book as events moved so quickly. Well written and easy to read and understand.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
