One night, he stumbles upon a nocturnal ritual, a cult ceremony he stops with the help of his sentient sword Vanitas. But there was one small thing the two of them hadn't considered. What if the girl on the altar was the real danger?
I loved this story with its usual snark and humour as Dust did his best to help and how he handled what happened next. As always it had to involve eating in some way. You have got to love Vanitas who is like Dust++ in the dry humour stakes. At the end of the book, there were also short stories from the other connected series.
