A Deadly Sin by Alisa Woods
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Tajael is a protector class angeling assigned to be the guardian of human scientist Charlotte as there is a war brewing between the angels of the light and the fae who have been creating demons to stop humans from developing technology - especially if it allows them to go into the immortal realm. He is terrified while doing that as he does not want to fall into the dark realm through lust for her. Charlotte is a scientist and so only believes what she can see and prove - angels, fae or anything else are certainly not on that list. Her ex had broken her in the past but she has moved on and is lost in her work all funded by a mysterious billionaire. When her co-worker attacks her a hot looking neighbour saves her and she starts to wonder if there is more to the multiple dimensions than she had ever thought. Can Charlotte make her discovery and can Tajael keep her safe (as well as himself from falling)?
I really enjoyed this story which was a fantasy story involving angels, fae and other supernatural creatures as well as a deep love story between Charlotte and Tajael. I loved the way that it focussed on what love is and that it didn't have to be physical to be real to have meaning and be significant. Full of drama and danger as well as some magic, I loved this story which was very sweet and left me smiling. Well written and easy to read and understand. Contains some explicit sexual content.
