Review: Raven Song: Shifters Bewitched #4 by Tasha Black 5 of 5 stars

Raven Song: Shifters Bewitched #4Raven Song: Shifters Bewitched #4 by Tasha Black
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Anya had a lot of strange things happen to her as a kid which meant she was moved from multiple foster homes until the Headmistress of Primose Academy found her and gave her a home and training for her magic. However, she does have a secret - unlike the other witches she does not have to pay a price for her magic and has some capacity to spare. The secret is hard to keep but she feels she needs to or face losing the only home she has ever known. Then the Raven King arrives on her side of the veil with his strange fae magic and he really sees her and what she is. Anya feels a pull and so her own problems seem small compared to the threat he poses - she is sure she has a part to play in this and might even be able to save us all if she could stop dreaming about the Raven King’s pale eyes.

I absolutely loved this story. Anya was such a good and kind soul who cherished her friends and family but also felt the draw between herself and the Raven King. She managed to stay independent and do the things that she felt were right throughout everything that happened to her when it would have been easy for her to just do what she was being told. There was a lot of danger, drama and emotions in this story which was very clear and easy to feel and understand. Contains just a little light sexual content.
