Review: The Naked Alien by Honey Phillips 3 of 5 stars

The Naked Alien (Exposed to the Elements, #1)

The Naked Alien by Honey Phillips
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Human Jane is more into all the conveniences of modern life and reading books. So when she wakes up alone and naked in an alien jungle she can only think about finding a way home. She wonders if she is alone and that is answered when a big and growly stranger comes to her rescue. Even worse, he doesn't speak her language so they have no way of communicating. Commander Taraxan’s people may have mastered advanced technology, but they have never forgotten their primitive roots and so waking up naked on an unknown planet annoys him but he is not helpless nor alarmed. As he looks for a way to return to civilisation he finds the pale female blundering around and so as an honourable warrior he feels he has no choice but to protect and help her to survive. Can they survive in the jungle alone and can they resist the sizzling attraction between each other? What future awaits them?

I enjoyed this story and the premise of two unrelated aliens being put in an unpopulated area together to see if they can survive. Certainly, Jane would never have survived if it were not for Taraxan and his help. I enjoyed their relationship and the surprise ending to the story which I didn't quite see coming (although it was a nice surprise). Easy to read and understand. Contains explicit sexual content.
