On The Run by

Aiden: has spent his whole life running. He doesn’t know how to do anything else. He doesn’t know stability, how to trust even how to love. He's never been able to truly call somewhere home. Any time he let his guard down, even just the tiniest bit, it ended up biting me and causing him to run again. Tired of running, maybe, just maybe this little town in Colorado will be the place he can settle down. Since the moment Max walked into the coffee shop with his son, the man has somehow managed to get his hooks in Aiden. And the more he gets to know the two of them, the harder it is to keep up the walls but he knows if he lets Max in he’ll be his downfall, but he might be worth it. Ever since Max discovered he had a son a year ago, he’s become his world. My sole focus has been on him and proving that he can be the father he deserves. He certainly doesn’t have time for a relationship. But the guy who works at the café intrigues him. When his son takes matters into his own hands and tries to set Aiden and Max up, of course, he can’t say no. But Aiden is hiding secrets on top of secrets, and his walls have walls so thick, he's not sure if he can break them. Aiden makes him want to try though. Then something happens that changes everything, and Max must make a decision. Fight for Aiden with everything he has or let him go.
I loved this story. Aiden was such a tortured soul and Max and his son were his home (after his Pops) and so this had all of the feels as well as the danger and drama. I loved the cross-over to the RAM Securities series. It was easy to sense all of the thoughts and emotions of the characters so be prepared for tears. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
