Review: The Billionaire by Emerson Beckett by Rheland Richmond 4 of 5 stars

The Billionaire

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Austin “Daredevil” Wentworth hates Greer Rowan because of how things ended between them. But he is his older brother's best friend and Austin still wants to because he is still madly in love with him. Now Greer has hired Austin for an international excursion to his neice's wedding that is going to land them together in the same bed. Greer known he has been a fool and just hopes Austin will let him explain.

I loved this story that was full of passion and strong emotions as the two men tried to make up for the past. I loved Greer's sister who came from a place of love but was misguided. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

No Rhyme or Riesling

No Rhyme or Riesling by G.R. Lyons
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

John Cunningham has almost everything he ever wanted. The dream job. A quiet home. And now he even has the boy he's been in love with for almost a decade. Everything seems perfect. Except for the regret he's been carrying around for nine years, having never reconciled with Adam's dad while he had the chance. Adam Barnes should be happy. He has a comfortable life, great friends, and finally the man of his dreams. But he wants more. Except old fears, grief, and guilt keep getting in the way. It's his fault his dad is dead, after all. Will the ghost of Adam's father haunt them forever? Or will they fight to overcome their fears and win their Happily Ever After?

I liked this story but I didn't love it as much as the previous books in the series. I did love the way that John supported Adam but it felt far too one way which annoyed me. That did not stop me from feeling the emotions in this story. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content with a BDSM-like Daddy/boy dynamic.

Review: The Linebacker by Emerson Beckett by Rheland Richmond 4 of 5 stars

The Linebacker

The Linebacker by Emerson Beckett by Rheland Richmond
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Patrick Griffin is a linebacker in the NFL, I've never found the right time to come out of the closet. Not even when I promised Cole I would. But now, with Cole's band, Fallen Angel, in the spotlight along with my team, the pressure is mounting. Everyone thinks we're just best friends, but the weight of my secret is tearing us apart. Cole Bradley wants the world to know he's in love with Patrick Griffin and has been since they were eight years old. Patrick is the love of his life, but it’s been years of waiting and excuses. All our friends, even his teammates, have a public life. So why can’t we? He promised it would be different in Portland. But then he tells yet another reporter he’s single. Cole needs a break. It’s perfect timing since our band is heading out on tour. Cole doesn’t know if he can live without him. But he doesn’t think he can do forever in the closet. It’s always been Patrick for me, but is it too much to ask for the world to know he’s Cole's too?

I loved this story with all of the angst and drama between the two men which came to a point of almost no return after a devastating car accident. This is a tear-jerker of a story as we live through their emotions and concerns and wonder if they can find a way to be together in the future considering they have loved each other since they were eight. Easy to read, feel and understand this will take you on a rollercoaster ride through their emotions. This was an MM story with mature content.

The Rockstar

The Rockstar by Emerson Beckett by Rheland Richmond
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Adam Spencer is a rockstar and is convinced that some people are not meant to find love. After a painful breakup, he channelled all his hurt into a song that has skyrocketed his band, Fallen Angel, to the top of the charts. Now he needs protection from the one person who was supposed to love him no matter what—his mother. Whether he wants him or not, he now has a sexy, silver-tongued southern charmer as his 24/7 bodyguard. He tried not to fall for him, because he doesn't do relationships but Michael has him thinking he could take one more chance to find love. Michael Coleman is known as “Phantom” and has always been a protector. During his career as a Navy SEAL, his duty was to find undisclosed information and protect his team. Now he needs to protect the sexy rockstar he loves flirting with every time he walks in the door to our EHM office. Adam Spencer lights him up like no one ever has. And that’s saying something. He'll do whatever it takes to protect him, even from himself. Has he finally found the love he'd been hoping for with my rockstar?

I loved this story with the two men who constantly flirted with each other which was also a strange basis to start a relationship when they had to live together. Their personalities and interactions were well described and easy to feel. I loved their banter and the way they behaved towards each other.I was fully invested in their relationship and wanting them to succeed. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Dump Stat

Dump Stat by Alex Silver
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Laura seems determined to find her perfect match even though she is a panromantic asexual artist who loves love. Alice is a cousin of a friend who is a sapphic intersex pharmacy technician with an awful girlfriend called Noelle who verbally abuses her and is probably unfaithful too. Together Laura and Alice become friends and spend cosy nights together. If only Alice can convince herself she is worthy of love and Laura.

This was a good read although I did get a bit frustrated with Alice's acceptance of Noelle's abuse. I thought it was a miracle that they were able to be together given their challenges. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an FF story with mature content.

Imperfect Skin by Myf Wren
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Watching Simon and Rhys find happiness has awakened a need for Mouse to find someone to call his own. He can't help wondering if a Daddy is what he needs too, to help heal the pain and guilt he's been holding onto for years. But where would he find a Daddy willing to comfort as well as punish him the way he wants? The only man who comes close to what he needs is his boss Callum, and he’s far too good for a damaged soul like Mouse. Callum’s life is full, with his daughter and his business leaving no time to even think about a relationship. But he can't seem to shake his attraction to a certain troublesome brat. Mouse's angel face and snarky attitude has Callum's Daddy Dom side itching to take him in hand. But as his best friend’s baby brother, Mouse is off limits - even if Callum does suspect that he can give Mouse exactly what he needs. When Mouse's self-destructive behaviour comes to a head, Callum steps up and offers Mouse a lifeline. But it’s just an arrangement, right? What will it take for one of them to ask for more?

I loved this story about how Mouse and Callum finally saw that they were made for each other and that Callum was the perfect Daddy for middle Mouse. I enjoyed the drama of Mouse being rescued from trouble by Calum. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like Daddy/middle dynamic.

Review: His Captor by M.M. Farmer 4 of 5 stars

His Captor

His Captor by M.M. Farmer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

It wasn’t Hayden's first time indulging in that particular fantasy. He was on a business trip and looking for something fun. He didn’t plan on going into heat while playing around, or to like the alpha I played with so much. He also didn’t expect to end up pregnant. What he didn’t expect was for that anonymous alpha he played with to end up being his boss at his new job. Playing with a cute omega from out of town was supposed to be a test of the new security tech Mace had been developing. It wasn’t supposed to end with him cutting ties with his old, crooked business partner and starting a whole new company in Barrington. It also wasn’t supposed to leave me wishing I’d gotten the real name and phone number of his omega playmate. They say be careful what you wish for. Now, not only is Hayden back in his life with all his charm and feisty spirit, but he’s carrying Mace's baby and because of Mace, the cute omega I’m falling hard and fast for is in danger from his ex-business partner, who is out for revenge.

I enjoyed this story with Mace's crazy ex-business partner who was a threat to everyone and Hayden's determination to be independent (even though he was reliant on his older brother for snacks). They both had very different personalities but I believe they fit well together. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse with mpreg.

His Hunter

His Hunter by M.M. Farmer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

An arranged marriage to a first-class, high-society jerk means that Ari's life as he knows it is just about over. The wedding is only weeks away, so he has only one chance to give himself a memory he won’t ever forget. Through the Dark Fantasies Club, I’ve found an alpha who can fulfil his primal fantasy of being chased through the forest, captured, and taken through heat in the most brutal way possible, just like he'd always dreamed about. Falling hard for his alpha hunter was not part of the deal. Samson moved to Barrington to get away from bad memories of his time on the force, working in the Missing Persons Unit. But even as an ex-cop, he needs to get his rocks off somehow, and the Dark Fantasies Club is perfect for that. Ari is the perfect fantasy partner, too. But the more he learns about his reasons for contracting me for play, the more I want to really help him. When their fake danger turns, very real as they discover they’re not alone in the forest, He might have to be the saviour he’s needed all along.

I loved this story with the attention to detail on Ari's backstory and the description of their fantasy followed by the reality they found themselves stuck in. There was a lot of fantasy danger and drama as well as real danger and drama in this story. Lots of emotions and feelings in this story. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content set in the omegaverse with mpreg.

Forever Ink

Forever Ink by Myf Wren
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

It’s Christmas, and Rhys has never been happier. He loves his Daddy and his found family, and he has secret plans to ask Simon a very important question. But before he gets his chance he’ll have to navigate meddling grandparents, barn elves, glogg, and a slightly murderous sheep. And when a dark figure from his past looms, will Rhys have what it takes to stand up for himself and defend his and Simon’s future together?

This was a very enjoyable story with a good mixture of funny moments, tender moments and scary moments. I loved the goat who hated Simon but loved Rhys. This and Mouse are so funny when they are drunk and even little. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Viking Ink

Viking Ink by Myf Wren
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Rhys O'Connell doesn't intend to stay in Tewsbury. On the run from a dark past, the only way he feels safe is to keep moving. But when a violent attack leaves him injured, he's forced to accept help from the gorgeous ginger giant who runs the local tattoo shop - the same man Rhys has been secretly crushing on - and he soon finds himself falling further for Simon. But can Rhys trust Simon to accept the side of him that he has been forced to keep hidden - the part that loves colouring and soft toys, the part he barely understands himself? Simon Johansen’s life is busy. Between running Viking Ink, his tattoo shop, and spending time with friends and family he doesn't have time to go looking for romance and after his last relationship ended disastrously, he's not sure he wants to. But he can't help but be attracted to the shy, pretty boy who busks in the town square, and when a chance arises to take the lad under his wing, he doesn't hesitate. Rhys is everything Simon's ever wanted in a baby boy - but will he accept Simon as his Daddy? With outside forces closing in and Rhys's past chasing him down, they'll have to fight for their happy ending.

This was a sweet story of Rhys who had a dreadful life at home and after he escaped how he found his Daddy who helped him along with many of the other residents of Tewsbury. I enjoyed the love and passion between the two men. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BSDM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Wiseguy by Rain Carrington 4 of 5 stars

Wiseguy

Wiseguy by Rain Carrington
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Marius Monarco has been in a mafia family his entire life. Raised in it, he's known nothing else. When he is brought to Montana by the head of the Carrillos, he is a fish out of water. Then he meets two men who will change his life. They open the world to him, showing him that the streets of his youth aren't the only wild and dangerous place for him. The land stretches out around him, hiding secrets and lies. As he falls in love, he's torn between his new, soft life as a partner and his need to protect those men, using everything in his arsenal to do so. In a cat-and-mouse situation, Marius is determined to turn the tables and become the cat in the scenario, unwilling to let anything happen to the two men who have stolen his heart.  The prairie is not prepared for this wiseguy!

This was a good story as the mafia man who is totally at home on the streets had to learn new skills as he became a total fish out of water at a ranch. Thankfully he fell in love with two cowboys who were able to help him (while trying not to laugh). As the whole team struggled to work out who was behind murders and kidnappings, we got to learn more about all the characters in this story. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is an MMM story with mature content and a BSDM-like D/s dynamic.

Review: Masters by Dale Mayer 4 of 5 stars

Masters

Masters by Dale Mayer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Masters has joined Jasper’s investigation team, when they realize another investigator went missing four months ago, yet his case is on hold. Part of the issue is that Masters needs to figure out who on the existing team is trustworthy. He reaches out to the missing investigator’s sister, looking for answer. Elizabeth has been seeking answers over her brother’s disappearance ever since the last time she spoke to him. With no leads, no tips, and no sign of him, the case ran cold. To her, it seemed no one cared. Having Masters show up at her door, asking questions all over again, sparks anger and hope in her. Maybe this time they can find out what happened to the only family Elizabeth has left.

This was a great mystery which may or may not be connected to Mason's attack. I loved how steady Masters was but also told everyone exactly how it was. Everything was easy to read and understand. I can't wait to find out what happens next.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

On The Run

On The Run by Jacey Davis
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Aiden: has spent his whole life running. He doesn’t know how to do anything else. He doesn’t know stability, how to trust even how to love. He's never been able to truly call somewhere home. Any time he let his guard down, even just the tiniest bit, it ended up biting me and causing him to run again. Tired of running, maybe, just maybe this little town in Colorado will be the place he can settle down. Since the moment Max walked into the coffee shop with his son, the man has somehow managed to get his hooks in Aiden. And the more he gets to know the two of them, the harder it is to keep up the walls but he knows if he lets Max in he’ll be his downfall, but he might be worth it. Ever since Max discovered he had a son a year ago, he’s become his world. My sole focus has been on him and proving that he can be the father he deserves. He certainly doesn’t have time for a relationship. But the guy who works at the café intrigues him. When his son takes matters into his own hands and tries to set Aiden and Max up, of course, he can’t say no. But Aiden is hiding secrets on top of secrets, and his walls have walls so thick, he's not sure if he can break them. Aiden makes him want to try though. Then something happens that changes everything, and Max must make a decision. Fight for Aiden with everything he has or let him go.

I loved this story. Aiden was such a tortured soul and Max and his son were his home (after his Pops) and so this had all of the feels as well as the danger and drama. I loved the cross-over to the RAM Securities series. It was easy to sense all of the thoughts and emotions of the characters so be prepared for tears. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Plus One Bonus

Plus One Bonus by Alex Silver
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Max sweeps Si/Simon/Simone off their feet at their bus stop. He becomes their friend. Then, just when they think he might be into them, he throws a curve ball by asking them to be his fake date for a wedding. He claims his buddies won’t leave him alone about finding a plus one. The catch is, that the ceremony is months away, so we’ll have to be pretend datemates for a while. They suspect there’s more going on than Max’s inability to handle confronting his meddlesome friends. Especially once they meet them all and see how much they care about Max. They keep going around in circles trying to figure out how he truly feels about them, all the while trying not to fall for him.

This was a sweet story although I did find the fake datemate and deception a little tiresome after a while. I did love the way Max was careful about checking who they were and asking permission to touch them. Si/Simon/Simone was an absolute sweetheart who I would love to hug one day. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an M/X (genderfluid) story with mature content.

Hired for the Holidays

Hired for the Holidays by Raquel Riley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

How could Adam Wells know when he was hired as arm candy for a corporate investment banker that it would be the last job he would ever take? He was positive he’d never met a more egotistical jerk than Jones Marin, but the more he got to know him, the more confused he became. When he touched Adam, he burned, until he was falling head over heels for a client he assumed was a one-and-done affair. Was he the only one being consumed by the fire? Adam was an escort to Jones Marin - a rent boy and disposable enjoyment. He hired him as his date for a week of corporate holiday parties. It was supposed to be temporary. But Christmas is over and he doesn’t want Adam to leave. If he had an unlimited income, he would hire him for life. Would Adam stay if he wasn’t being paid?

This was a lovely story of how no matter their opinion of each other at the start it didn't take long for them to change their minds with passion and then as they became more and more invested in each other's lives. I loved the executive wives and their friendliness to Adam. It was also good to find out more about Adam as we did know much based on the previous books in the series. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

The Wisdom Within

The Wisdom Within by Gwen Martin
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

At five years sober, Nik Ward is the picture-perfect recovering addict. With a carefully curated schedule that includes a job, volunteer hours, and hobbies, his routine shields him from the claws of addiction. All good, steady, healthy and boring. Until he meets Micah. Micah just wants everything to go back to the way it was before his twin sister became an addict. He’d give anything to free her from the depths of her addiction, but if she doesn’t try to get sober by their mother’s vow renewals, he’ll have to cut her out of his life for good no matter how much it hurts. Micah needs a distraction, and instead of dwelling on his ultimatum, he finds the perfect distraction in Nik. When the two men meeting turns into a series of hot and heavy hookups, both of their plans go out the window. Unless Nik can find the wisdom within to live off-balance and Micah can learn meet his loved ones where they’re at, their budding romance may thrust them both into the depths of the world they’re desperately trying to escape.

I loved this story with the two men who actually need each other for far more than the great sex between them. I was pleased that Nik and his contacts were able to help Micah's twin sister but it also helped the rest of the family too. This story was full of passion and anguish as problems surfaced and were handled in the best way that they could be. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Daddy's Rule

Daddy's Rule by Allysa Hart by Rayanna Jamison
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Five Daddy Doms and a submissive hit the jackpot and become millionaires overnight. It sounds like the start to a bad joke, but that’s exactly what happened to them. Opening their club, The Penthouse, was an obvious choice. After all, what else would a bunch of kinky friends do with all that cash? Rent-A-Daddy is a bit more unorthodox, but it feels like a stroke of genius when Nyla comes sweeping back into our lives, devastated by her recent nasty divorce and in desperate need of the structure our brand new service was designed to provide. He's always enjoyed having Nyla over his knee, but this time is different as he wants to be her forever Daddy. Now to convince his stubborn girl that she wants him just as bad.

It was an ok story but mostly covered the lottery win, the club, the creation of Club rent-a-daddy and the failure of Nyla's marriage. Easy to read and understand. This was a MF story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLG dynamic.

Murphy Maguire only meant to tease him, but Hudson has no problem calling his bluff. What starts as a dare quickly turns into an enemies-with-benefits arrangement. Until he starts wanting more. Aspen's world was falling apart. The life he worked so hard to build over the last four years was crumbling down around him; and the hits just kept on coming. It would be so easy for him to give up and to give into the pain that was threatening to overwhelm him more and more as the days passed. His only lifeline was Kai. He was the reason Aspen kept waking up each morning; kept fighting. Despite everything, their feelings for each other continued to grow stronger each day. Sure, there were a few kinks they needed to work out (literally), but as the dangers of his past came back to haunt him, he clung to Kai and the love they had for each other. Because at the end of the day, that was the only thing standing in the way of total destruction.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Omega Nyx Pointe knows he's lucky to have a job in an Alpha dominated field. People don't expect Omegas to be protectors, especially not in law enforcement. When the need for change leads him to Shelter Falls, he discovers the prejudices he's used to are absent in this adorable small town. Alpha Julian Bates has been Sheriff in this small town for longer than he cares to admit. He's put his all behind protecting the people and keeping the peace. After finding out his team isn't a trustworthy as he thought, he cleans house and starts fresh with a bunch of new hires. Fate brings these two men together, but it also nearly rips them apart. After all, police work isn't for the faint of heart, and as an old foe returns to this small town, they'll have to decide what's more important: their jobs or their newfound relationship.

Jack Wilde has had a very bad day and could really use a hug. His grad school application to join the Raintree Arctic Expedition gets unexpectedly denied, and he knows exactly who to blame. Insects, bugs, or just creepy crawlies, Paxton doesn’t care what they’re called because they’re the most fascinating creatures he’s ever seen, and as an entomologist, that’s saying a lot. But since he’s currently in the most frustrating town he’s ever seen, there might be a connection. Fraser is fascinated by the adorable bug doctor who’s running around town digging in the dirt and playing with bugs. He also agrees with the rest of the nuts in town that Paxton has to be a little. But there’s one big question on everyone’s mind. Does Paxton know he’s not as vanilla as he seems to think he is? When the bugs are vanishing and the locals are perplexing, falling in love just might be the easiest part of Paxton’s magical discoveries.

This story of how Paxton and Fraser met and fell in love was typical of the craziness that exists in this series. The people in the town were suitably crazy and made me laugh out loud several but as did the two littles who invited themselves for an impromptu tea party and their cum observations. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with a BSDM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Father Figure by Raquel Riley 4 of 5 stars

Father Figure

Father Figure by Raquel Riley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Nicholas made a deal with Case (his Dad's ex boyfriend) that if he went to college, he would let him tag along Caribbean island hopping on his charter boat for the summer. Cass stuck to his end of the bargain, but not Nicky - he asked for extra terms. One night of him and nothing between them, showing him what it felt like to be loved by a man. Cassidy now knew he couldn't stop thinking about Nicholas, desiring him, needing him in his arms, beneath him and by his side.

This was a sweet story about a father's friend and age gap love story with a Daddy/boy aspect too. Add to the mix Uncle Sam and this became scorching hot and full of consensual filth. Easy to read, feel and understand, this will take you on a wild ride. This was MM story with MM+ play and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: A Daddy for Summer: Prince by Rain Carrington 3 of 5 stars

A Daddy for Summer: Prince

A Daddy for Summer: Prince by Rain Carrington
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Prince Rose is a rich kid flunking out of college. The only hope for his father not to find out is to retake the finals of three classes. The way he can earn that privilege is to spend his summer at a camp for disadvantaged youth. The cabins are shared, the food is bland and nothing that he’s used to, but he makes a few friends, something he’s sorely lacking. He also makes a couple of enemies, but what keeps him going is the mystery man who is staying in a cabin across the lake from the camp. He’s gorgeous, tattooed, the perfect man to piss off Prince’s father, but so much more. When Prince recovers a cell phone the mystery man throws in the lake and gets it working again, he discovers that the man is even more mysterious than Prince first thought. Caught sneaking around to find out more, will the handsome stranger be one more hurdle in his life or will he be the Daddy-in-shining-armour that Prince has always needed?

This was a sweet story and I liked the layers of the enemies that Prince had made in association with Prince's father who was really quite evil. The friends that Prine had made were fun and I loved Prince's generosity to them. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content and a BDSM-like DDLB dynamic.

Review: Felix by Emmy Sanders 4 of 5 stars

Felix

Felix by Emmy Sanders
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Emil likes being watched and works at Elite 8 Studios where fans know him as Felix. He's thrown through a loop when his newest costar turns out to be the same neighbour he's been giving private shows to through the window. Christian is gorgeous - a toppy femboy who loves skirts and belly chains. He’s every bit the Vixen his moniker would suggest. Yet, for whatever reason, he seems enamoured with Emil. They’re quickly thrown together to pilot a series of live-stream videos, and their chemistry is off the charts. But when Christian starts coming over, cuddling with Emil on the couch and bringing food for his pet hermit crab, he knows that he's in trouble.

I loved this love story of two kinky men who were perfect for each other. Christian's Nan sounded perfect and I just wish everyone could have that kind of support. I loved their communication and focus on consent. Easy to read, feel and understand with all of the feelings and emotions. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Two Point Conversion by Rheland Richmond by Emerson Beckett 4 of 5 stars

Two Point Conversion

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Deciding to spend the holidays in the tiny Colorado ski town of Amber Falls brings some Christmas magic to the lives of the Portland Pirates linebacker Jackson Kincaid and his former team doctor husband, Simon Taylor..Family time, reconnecting with old friends, and some sexy nights by the fire with the husband is all a man could ask for, right? How could life get any better than what they have now with their son Parker? But through a fortunate turn of events, the Kincaids just might get their Christmas wish.

This was a sweet Christmas novella which had lots of love and kindness as they had their biggest wish come true. Lots of feelings and emotions in this Christmas story as they reconnected with old friends and found new friends. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Hopeless for You by Raquel Riley 4 of 5 stars

Hopeless for You

Hopeless for You by Raquel Riley
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

To Cyan Morrison getting paid to give and receive pleasure is an enjoyable way to earn money. He's one of Lucky Match’s most sought-after escorts, and Griffin Clarke wants to gift wrap his V-card and present it to Cyan on a silver platter. But after spending one evening with him, Cyan feels like he's stealing a precious gift he hasn’t earned and doesn’t deserve. He wants to keep Griffin for himself, but he has a long way to go before he's worthy of a man as generous and authentic as him. Can Cyan convince him he's the man he’s been waiting for?

I liked some of this story because the male escort who fell for his friend/client was a sweet storyline, but the toing and froing between them became a little tedious before they gave in to the inevitable. I loved all of the tortured emotions from them both. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Unnecessary Roughness by Rheland Richmond by Emerson Beckett

Unnecessary Roughness

Unnecessary Roughness by Rheland Richmond by Emerson Beckett
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

When Jackson Kincaid's best friend, Allison, died in a car accident, he suddenly became the parent of his ten-year-old godson. How was he supposed to play football for the Portland Pirates and be a full-time single dad? Adjusting is the name of the game. But thanks to his friends, and his best friend Simon, the team doctor, they'll heal and make it through. Simon Taylor is the hardass team doctor that lets nothing get by him. But somehow, Jackson did. While helping him adjust to his new reality, Simon wasn't prepared for his new feelings for him to surface. Especially when he didn't know.he.had them. Jackson and his godson have stolen his heart and aren't letting go. It doesn't matter that their relationship might be considered forbidden or that he's fifteen years younger than Simon. He wants things with him that he's never wanted with anyone else. Especially a man. Jackson and Simon deserve to be together no matter how rough things get. Some things are just worth it.

This was a highly emotional story as Jackson struggled with the loss of Allison and supporting and caring for Parker. Add to that the developing relationship between Jackson and Simon and there were emotions and feelings all over the place you will cry. Just how could you not fall in love with Parker who was such a sweetheart? Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Raptor by Dakota Rebel 5 of 5 stars

Raptor

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Raptor is hunting a monster half a world away from home, away from Phoenix, away from Scout, and he's more scared than he's ever been. But it feels as if everything he's ever lived for has come down to this moment. And he’ll be damned if he lets his family down now. Because they’ve always shown up for him. Phoenix Squad do or die.

I loved this finale as the team came together to finish off the bad guys behind all of the terrorism and killing. I also loved that they were able to join back together as a team and that Scout and Raptor were able to resolve all of the differences that they had ever had between them and whether the chance at a HEA. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

Review: Scout by Dakota Rebel 4 of 5 stars

Scout

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

From childhood to the military, to special forces, Scout learned never to put his faith in anyone but himself. Because if you don’t let anyone get close to you, then it’s less likely that someone can hurt you. Or betray you. But life doesn’t always work out the way you want it to. Sometimes someone finds a crack in your armour, despite your best efforts to protect yourself. Now, the only two men to ever break down the walls Scout had built around himself have managed to destroy him in completely different ways. And as the world burns down around him, he can’t help but wonder if it was worth it.

I loved this dramatic story as we got closer to the business end of this story and who was behind the dreadful events from earlier in the series. Scout was a great guy and determined to get to the bottom of the truth even if it broke his heart. I really could feel and empathise with Scout and Raptor when they were discussing or arguing about the responsibility for the events. Easy to read, feel and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.

My Best Friend's Wedding Planner

My Best Friend's Wedding Planner by D.K. Sutton
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

A mixed up story which was just chaotic and uncomfortable to read. Miles was the bride's best friend and Kye the wedding planner who somehow found love in strife. Easy to read and understand. This was an MM story with mature content.
